Can the diverter valve fail and not allow it to cool down completely? My a/c is cold but when it’s 98 degrees in the desert the machine struggles to stay at 80 degrees inside. For a 4 seat 2022 Polaris Ranger XP northstar, is this normal?
I have a 2024 North Star with intermittent ac failure. Ac fails to cool when unit is on a down hill coast. Ac unit will start cooling when accelerator is engaged
I have a 2021 ranger….the AC and the red light will be on at idle and then when I take off and build up RPMs the red light will begin to blink and blow hot air. Have you seen that issue before? But when I slow back down and stop the AC will blow cold again. Have had Freon checked it is good. ??
I have not seen that issue, but it might be worth checking online to see if the light doing that is indicative of a code, fault, or some sort of particular issue....check through the forums and you might find a little more information than I can provide on here. Good luck, and sorry I couldn't be of more help! www.rangerforums.net/threads/2021-polaris-ranger-xp-1000-hvac-ac-issue.51426/
Most of the Polaris models have the AC charge ports behind the right front tire, if I recall correctly - they may or may not have red and blue caps installed(some use black caps marked with an 'L' and 'H' to differentiate between the high and low pressure sides). They should use R134 refrigerant, but check the manual to be sure!

What do I need to do if the red light is blinking when I’m and when key is on?

My 2024 is doing exactly the same thing.

I have a 2017. What is the easiest way to get to the port to add refrigerant?
