yeah I like it! Now I am searching for new nooks and crannies to add some more!! Might even try to double up the layers in some spots. Good luck if you do it. I am happy at the improvement for sure
Thought there was a marked improvement in the sound until you went into the low range then it wasn't so noticeable 🤔 nice to see Iron Mike back again he did a good job on the 19 buggy 👍 that suspension spanner is commonly known as a C spanner 👍 nice video 👌
OOORRRAAAHHH MARINE !!! : ) Kap, it is noticably quieter to me on the video. Thought I'd mention that if you have not already done this, you might add that sound deadening material to the inside and outside of the firewall (on the cab side, and engine side). If you can do that, I bet it would make an even bigger difference in the noise reduction. Semper fi
Hoorah Marine! Yeah I looked at it again today to see where I could add more, and basically got angry! LOL. Tried removing the backing of the back seats and it did not go well! I did add some on the outside of the cab. I might try again if the weather cools off, too hot right now! Semper Fi man! Thanks
Literally just got the same ranger as you did yesterday. the wife said it was louder than she said it was louder than she thought it would be. will say we got a lot of hills do a lot of fencing so most of our travel is low range. I noticed once you get into that 4-6,000 rpm range the volume sure gets louder. Still a helluva lot better than the old 2010 800 we had but you notice it. but since I'll be driving 90% in low and the rpms will be a lot at its worst level I'm thinking I'm going to put some of that sound board in to try to get it as low as possible.
Not sure if it was a sound investment, but it got a good sound improvement! However, I disagree with your assessment on suspension, this was much more than a shocking improvement.. As I was taking the first ride the suspension was killing me as to how shocking it would be! LOL
@@kapperoutdoors Its not compressing the spring, just changing where the spring sits on the shock body, giving you more or less up travel at ride height. I thought the same as you for years. It just changing where the shock sits in its travel, that is why people change to different weight springs depending on if they are adding more weight to the machine or want a smoother ride.
Nice to see "Iron Mike" still in the land of the living---but Kapper---take him to get a couple triple bacon cheese burgers and large fries with a milk shake. The sound deadening is more like "sound suppression" but hey, its good enuf for who its for!! lol
I don't recall, just ordered them on Amazon. I'm pretty certain it did work. Someday I might add another layer. I think I got the thinner stuff, maybe should have got it thicker. But it still works. Thanks
Sounds like the sound deadening worked. Sounds quieter....enjoyed the ride along...stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep dry and cool.
Thank you and the cab unit sure helps with keeping dry and cool!! :)
Quieter I agree Joe I may try that material

1:05 Wow, 105lbs is amazing! Good for him for focusing on his health! Weight loss takes dedication and determination 👏 👏

Good deal. Yes I agree very nice in high gear, but not so much in low! But hey, I'll take it right now! Thanks man have a good one

Iron Mike did a great job on the 19. The sound deadening material does reduce the noise.
I dunno about the oil company idea, have you tried painting? apparently it’s easy to churn a few out and make almost as much as oil consultancy…
Looks and sounds like it worked pretty good.
I agree sounds much better, for sure in high gear!
Joe's used Atv/Utv sales.... lol
Curtis can be the tire guy... lol 😆 🤣
lol should I grease and slick my hair back and get into sales??
Sounds a lot better!
Agreed! Thank you!

I did a video or two on adding sound deadening which really made a nice difference in reducing the sound. Best of luck thanks
I can definitely tell the difference in the sound deadening and the 19 does look better after the detail good work iron Mike
Yep no doubt, great work Iron Mike! I have it pending sale right now! Take care bud and thanks again!
@@kapperoutdoors thanks
Sounds not only quieter, but also a lower tone/pitch level!😉
Yep totally agree! Might add a few more spots yet too! Thanks
Was it a sound investment? I’m quietly confident it was but the suspension work was a big shock to spring Kapper😲🍻
Not sure if it was a sound investment, but it got a good sound improvement! However, I disagree with your assessment on suspension, this was much more than a shocking improvement.. As I was taking the first ride the suspension was killing me as to how shocking it would be! LOL
Kap, that’s a shock spanner wrench.
Roger that! 'sounds' good!!
adjusting the shock spring preload doesn't change the stiffness of the shock, it only changes the ride height.
interesting.. But doesn't it stand to reason that compressing the spring would make it stiffer?

lol next time I'll take him to McD's for lunch! It sounds better to me!~
I think it work. We’re did you purchase the sound proof panels and what was the cost?
I don't recall, just ordered them on Amazon. I'm pretty certain it did work. Someday I might add another layer. I think I got the thinner stuff, maybe should have got it thicker. But it still works. Thanks
Awesome
Thank you.
What you asking for the 19 it looks great
Sorry recently sold it, it was a great machine
Thanks and it was nice
did you add multiple layers of the sound deadening?
No just one layer. At some point I might add some more.
How much lift did you lose when you lowered the adjustment?
It was barely noticeable. I was surprised.
The spanner wrench polaris provides is terrible, try a large set of channel locks, it is so much easier.
No doubt about that on them spanner wrenches! Good call on the channel locks! Thanks
Seems a lot quieter than your crew cab after the sound deadner it's sounds quieter
Yeah I agree! I am tempted to put a 2nd layer on it all too! Thanks
Boa noite muito top esse carro amigo
A LOT quieter!! Not as much difference in the Low gear.
Yep, totally agree. I may add a few more spots of sound mat. But hey, I'll take a few decibels!!
Sound deadening was not enough to justify the cost nor labor IMO.
Man I don't know why they don't build these custom full cabs quieter!!
Much Quieter!!! And Toned it down.
Yep no doubt! Thanks have a good one
