Long time subscriber, first time commenter! Love your work! Just to clarify and confirm for all the euro 4 guyand gal 5:29 s out there my 2019 950 SP has responded beautifully to the 14T front with no errors or dash issues. Left mine on the shelf for ages cos of dash fears but trust me, go for it and you won't look back!
Thanks for the info man. I want to do the same with my SP2 to sort out that insanely tall first gear. Makes it a right pig around town. My dealer said the euro 5 bikes won’t recalibrate with lower sprocket and I didn’t believe them. Thanks for confirming. I thought they were just being w*nkers
There is a way to do it through the ECU.. German company Duessen Engines can do it, but you have to buy their device & map - and I’ve already got a custom map on mine. The bike still runs fine but just with a few orange warning lights on the dash 😭
Have you tried going two in the rear instead ? I was about to do the 14 yesterday on my 23 SP but I could not find an answer if the bike would not like that change, and then you uploaded with the answer I needed. I wonder if changing the rear sprocket instead to a 45 would have the same impact with the fault code.
The front was easier to do as a “quick test”. The rear +2 might need a longer chain and then more costs etc. Maybe a combination of both might work, but that were talking maths and rations 😭
Hey Hypermotardking, the rear sprocket with 45 tooth won't work either on the Euro 5. Some tested it and wrote it in the german hypermotard forum. So dont try it, its not worth to buy a bigger chain and having the same results with the 14 front sprocket. Greets
@@hypermotardking Mine its 2013 The 821cc, no errors!!! Stock gearing its 15-45tooth. I live at high altitude so its a must! Also i want to change my chain to 520.
I heard about the same problems on the Euro 5 Supersport 950 when tryign to gear it down with a 14T front. Was this ever solved by a third party? This would stop me from buying one...
Thank you very much, love the channel. Hope you get the dash sorted, here what about just doing the back sprocket to a bigger one and keeping the 15 on the front.

Yep - 100% this is change you can do on the Euro4
I went 14/42 on my '22 SP, seems perfect (albeit slight), no codes - good luck, keep the vids coming!
sounds a good compromise.. hopefully got a workaround coming soon.
Do you have more speed with that setup or more RP ?
This was my first mod, makes it more ridable around town, easier wheelies, not missing the top end speed. Didnt have faults, but mine is euro4

Yeah, appears the Euro4 range of bikes are ok. Heard someone with a desert-x tried same 14T and got same error

Hi, I wish I had seen your video sooner. I made the same modification as you and the bike gives me errors. Did you manage to solve it somehow?
@@andreaonofrio5112 you need a flash on ecu - duessen engines can.

@@sebakrarup Aahh.. your lucky. 520 pitch with lightweight sprockets is a good move 👍🏻

Im lucky to have an E4 model, i have 14/44 and its perfekt, you can also use the same chain
Lucky.. I might see if a 44 helps - need to do some maths 😭😭
Have you heard of the Hypermotard leaking rust out of the tail all over the splash guard on the rear end?
I’ve only ever seen one post online about it. The rear undertsil unit isnt the best for keeping water/mud out - so its a possibility

It makes it more lively and alot more fun..
no chain issues and i’ve done 3 track days giving it some serious usage

How about the elettronics settings? All working good? DWC?
On the Euro5 bike you do get an error - Ducati can reset the gear position sensor with their software tool to fix it 👍🏻
