I completed this 'mod' this past weekend on my 2021 Ducati Panigale V4s. It has absolutely transformed the bike. Runs smoother (especially at lower RPM's), quickshifter and auto-blipper smooth as silk, most importantly the fuel tank is able to breathe better as well eliminating any incidence of vapor lock during hot starts. I will admit I was EXTREMELY pessimistic that this would solve my issue with the bike but it has! Any Ducati owner remove this piece of c@#p from your bike as it does nothing but suffocate your motor and fuel tank. Thank you @hypermotardking for this great video explaining the process 😎

Just ordered the evap delete . Hope it helps with starting the bike cold. When it’s warm it starts great . The throttlebody is also perfectly clean. Only when it’s cold it has rough idle . Have been checking your vids the last couple months as they are a great source of info! Took delivery of a '24 950 hyper at beginning of April but dare I say I've been left a bit underwhelmed, either Euro 5 really all but castrated these bikes or maybe I set my expectations a bit too high. First time I ventured outside my normal realm of operation into Ducati territory so still learning about these bikes, how they're put together and what they need to run right. Been into supermoto for the better part of almost 2 decades, both riding and wrenching, but always stuck with KTM or Husqvarna so technically this the first big off brand excursion. Also saw you're a big contributor on the FB 950 hyper owners page, since I'm still waiting on a post approval for nearly 3 weeks that makes it hard to ask around for info so good thing I stumbled across your channel.
Congrats on the 950 purchase.. stick with the bike, get it setup first (suspension) and then start to explore/push it.. takes a bit of time/tweaking/trust but when it clicks its a fukin great bike. Oh and the FB group.. too many keyboard wanabe admins thinking their gods 😭😭
@@hypermotardking Cheers mate, first priority for me is simply getting it to run right. Throttle response in the lower gears seems to be choppy and a bit on/off at the bottom which makes coming out of tighter corners getting back on the gas not a smooth experience. Got the evap and sas delete on standby and looking into mapping options to get rid of the Euro 5 malarky. Have done business with BHP in the past as I bought one of their tuners to flash my '23 KTM 690 with good results. However for the Hyper I might go with Deussen (though not sure how to go about this since he doesn't seem to have a webshop to acquire his tuner) as I want to get rid of the clutch restriction and I'm not sure if BHP has any experience with this. Do have to admit I may have overfilled the tank in the beginning which seems to be a big no no on these bikes as it can saturate the evap canister potentially causing stalling issues. Have not had that happen yet but maybe it's contributing to the jerky throttle response. Will know for sure after doing the evap delete. Looked at suspension as well but it's a little further down the mod line. This bike won't see track duty as I still have a dedicated race bike so for now it'll remain a street hooligan machine. The hyper was always on my list as it still contains some DNA fragments of the sport I love, so in the end I'm able to say I've touched every facet of supermoto going from lightweight race bikes to the bigger street machines. 😋

Great video. I’ve done this on my hypermotard 939 without removing the tank or air box. I beleive its doable on the 950 by just rerouting the tank vent tube under the bike which is the hard part since it will be tight do to the lack of space and extending it with a fuel connector and plugging the the Y tube with the screw provided and a zip tie.
Wow very detailed. Might just have to do this as well! Does it start the same still? It sounded a tad different when you started in the second and third time?
