As an executive producer for the US version of _Who Do You Think You Are?_ Lisa Kudrow asked Conan to appear on the show. Weeks went by without him hearing back so he called her. She admitted that they couldn't find anything usable on him.
Four centuries from now, Xorblorp O'Brien will be researching his family tree and find that the early 21st century was the origin of the blood feud between the O'Briens and the Lenos
Caitriona Crow is the pre eminent geneologist in Ireland so Conan was lucky she was willing to participate and provide her expertise. She is not just an expert , she is delightfully honest and unimpressed, but kind and dry witted. No flattery just facts kindly delivered with a self contained smile. Conan got her to laugh out loud eventually. Well done both.
Conan has some, a lot of epic stuff which I revisit often - Chicago Blues kids, The Choir, Mexican Border.....but ALL his Irish stuff is absolute, near insulting shite, totally unfunny. This atrocity accent, this 'leprechaun' limb gyrating....the most un-comic ever.
I love how when he did the throat clearing joke twice he realised he might have made her feel too uncomfortable so he immediately insulted himself saying he has a big head. These small kindnesses are why Conan is so loved

Yeah, I started watching thinking _oh, it'll be a touching and sober interaction as Conan discovers his ancestors_ and by the end I'm chucking hard because Conan is, naturally, riffing a throat-clearing bit. And ending with "I'm told I have a fat head.... is that something that would be in the O'Brien line?"

Conan O’Brien can say is 100% DNA Irish it could be said he is 100% not Irish. He did not understand the concept of the Celtic culture, extremely sophisticated Harvard educated but he still does not get it. I do because I am Welsh so therefore I do understand it. Yeah that is a Welsh joke?🏴🇬🇧🏴

My family owned land in Ireland. It’s crazy to think that there is a slight chance that Conan’s family could of worked for me
I made the horrible mistake of watching the first 20 minutes of "Unfrosted" during which I smiled once, while here I got a fit of delightful giggles.
I'm glad that from this encounter we learned absolutely nothing, and were dumber after watching it.
