@@Danny4rb Everyone's hands are different. I say if you played vanilla try to find a screenshot of what you used back then so it's already in muscle memory. Otherwise I use similar keys for actions or for speed. Like I use the same button for backstab and ambush, garrote and rupture. I want to cheap shot as fast as possible so stealth and cheap shot are the same. Stuff like that. A skill you rarely use like feint should be inconvenient and out of the way. I don't really go over specifics because unlike a lot of gamers I don't use my pinky at all while most people would use that for shift or ctrl or whatever.
SwoleBenji, on the pvp consumable you forgot that there is also Flash Bomb that can be made by engineers which fears druids and hunter pets and doesn't break on damage. classic.wowhead.com/item=4852/flash-bomb

This was beyond perfect my dude, bravo!, I was literally saying a week ago how I want to learn matchups and find anything I could be doing wrong to mess up my dps, aka wearing cadaverous gear or shadocraft, or some of my raid gear, I get confused coinciding agil and AP but there were no real PvP guides, gj being ahead of the curve

Just made a Rogue alt for pvp. Everything you said ( especially about Mages ) is 100% spot on.
i like to stack garrote and rupture on them and re-stealth or run works well in wpvp while i have PvE spec

I slowed down video like you had in this with your combo like the 2vs1 in Rachet would have been awesome w/ what moves you did and why. @@SwoleBenji Transfer man :) I did that about 6 weeks ago and was awesome. Tons of action in open world pvp and a good balance. Use something like ironforge.pro/servers/ to gauge popularity/balance. At least that is what we did. Hope that helps

Early on in subtlety the ambusher crit spec is insane lol. Just stealth up on unsuspecting people and boom thats most of their hp gone in an instant. If they try to heal kick them out of it. And just combo stack and eviscerate. Ez

Yo you're on my server, skeram! Instead of rccportraits, just use omnicc for cc in portrait as it doesn't remove dragons or anything. Leatrix plus is also recommended since u already use leatrixmaps and you can make some adjustments to frames like adding dragons to your own portrait and most things that lazypig used to do. My best wow moment was when I was facing Buddhist on his priest on a 2v2 TBC server, he was rogue priest vs me on mage and my buddy on rogue. I played rogue myself too so I was able to plot his rogue friends movement in the undercity arena and unstealth him with my first R1 blizzard resulting in a quick win. Wish I had it recorded :( side note: they had full BiS and we had S2/S3 mix so 8-15% gear difference too :O

Key bindings depend on your hands. I don't use pinkys so mine are a little different than most. I tend to hotkey similar things to the same key, like ambush and backstab are both the same key bind. Things I want to spam like stealth into cheap shot are the same key. I use 1-4, q, e, r, v, (t is auto attack and f is target assist.) Then I use shift+ all of those keys, along with shift + WASD, then I use CTRL and all of those keys, with ~ being auto run, shift+~ being auto follow. I use middle click to flip camera to check behind me which I have my mouse set to middle click on the side button because I find it easier than using middle click.

It looked like this guide was mainly for hemo prep spec but i would like a video going in more depth all about daggers and the combos and shenanigans you can pull of with them. Personally I have perd/cht so I would love to get better at using them effectively in pvp

I might use it against melee if we're just trading blows but generally it's not needed at all for PvP.

in tbc i had the totem of spirits macro into everything. always put those down all over the place.

Same! People in duels would panic thinking it was an AoE heal and target it. Also mages would randomly AoE around it thinking I'm nearby getting healed.

Nice guide dude, but for daggers MH enchant don't you want Superior Striking, the one that gives +5 to weapon damage.
Right now maybe but when +15 agi comes out you want that one 100%.

Great and informative video! I like the 39 and 49 brackets, but have not played my rouge in a while and just starting to play him again. He is UD and I have some toons to fund his gear. For 49, what would you choose for the talents and also, do you recommend still a high damage sword, say Bloodrazor in the MH and then a quick dagger in the OH, like Shadowblade? Also, is Hemo spec still the optimal spec at the lower level?
The discord had a convo about this subject. I never twinked higher brackets but they suggested a prep spec specializing in daggers for the 1-shot potential. When I twinked in vanilla I went combat in the 21-30 bracket (Before it was changed to 20-29 mind you.)

Any reason why to choose ghostly strike in cold blood hemo for the reliable spec?
What would the general rotation for an ambush rogue be, should i open with the normal stun lock hemo rotation for some dmg and try to finish by restealthing with a gouge or blind into ambush or should i try to get 2 consecutive ambushes
Also great vid learned a lot from the matchups
It doesn't feel whole without tea or trickery charm, but it'd be something like cheap shot -> sinister (I know not a stab move but we'll get to that.) -> gouge -> death ray & bomb dispenser -> kidney shot -> backstab -> blind -> repeat. Once you get the trickery charm or tea it's basically just cheap shot -> backstab -> tea -> backstab -> backstab -> kidney -> trickery -> backstab -> backstab.
1st step : Pick Undead
Seriously it's like picking the difficulty setting in a single player game. Undead rogue being the easiest
Plus, they are pure heavy metal!
I still really enjoy dwarf. Shadow Reflector trinket is good enough for now until I get the mats farmed for blacksmith 1-300. Why dwarf? Turn your brain off vs other rogues. They stoneform out of blind is generally enough to win any fight, even vs an orc. Also its been helping me with deadzone kitting warriors which for me is much harder now. Its also saved me a stupid amount of times from hunters with serpent sting.
Ofc the undead have it easy vs priests but I just love Night Elf rogues. They fit better to the ninja style of rogue and have a slightly better chance at saping first due to the shadowmeld passive. Of course I wish I was undead every time I was feared by a priest or lock, but now with the pvp trinkets things are getting better.
Would like to see dagger playstyle too
Once I get a trickery charm (From Zul'Gurub, 3 months minimum after it releases sadly.) I'll make one.

@@adamjackson7585 No, you want the heaviest hardest hitting main hand you can find. Daggers do not have high enough top end.

If you want to be better at pve go human but if you want a slight edge on mages go gnome. If you think you can transition it to TBC / WotLK go human for the later buffed racial.

Why do you say blacksmithing is a must if you can break fear with pvp trinket?
Because your trinket goes on cooldown, and if you aren't undead a 2nd fear is game over.

Yo bro i just have a couple questions, what about autoattacking? does that not matter really at 60? waiting for autoattacks to go thru? like should i be spamming hemo as hard as i can?(because shadowcraft 6 set gives random energy) or like x2 hemos wait for autoattack to go thru then keep going?, and also is there any reason to pool energy? like if you cheap, just 1 hemo into kidney? maybe dont waste all of your hemo`s to make a bigger kidney? just kidney at 3-4 points , try to pool energy and spam hemos into the kidney?(since target takes more dmg in kidneys?), and what about Hit%? 5% right?, even if I have to replace Hoj and Blackhands breath? just for thr 5% hit? is it that important? or try to use the juicy trinkets and throw in hit wherever i else can?
You don't have to worry about auto attacks unless you're doing PvE as the only thing that resets your auto attack swing timer is sword spec procs and HoJ.
I will have to watch this a few times to grasp it all lol but yeah I'm full T1 basically and T2 helm I'm doing some PvP ATM but I'm in combo spec as I thought respecing never reset the price each week I've managed to kill warriors toe to toe with evasion and blade flurry I just didn't want to learn all the stuff for pvpp because I knew it would be alot to take in do you think raid specced rogues can do ok or would you recommend I change specs and learn the rotations
If you're serious about raiding you kind of have to go combat.
What do you do if you fight a Druid bear tank and he just camps in bear form?
Then he dies. Slowly, but there's no way a druid tank can win if he doesn't shift out.
I like this spec but i want something that can do good dps in pve but not suck for pvp any suggestions for that
If you have 5/8 T1 this works for PvP and PvE, though for PvE you'll be bottom parse if all the other rogues are raid spec'd.

I ran this and did about 440 dps without world buffs or consumables, though I had the BWL claw main-hand and corehound tooth offhand.
Would you still do the default rotation against other rogues? If they don't die to the death ray + cold blood evis then they could blind/gouge you right away.
If they don't die they're rocking full stam buffs and a titans flask. (Or it's Alterac Valley.) You could kidney instead of eviscerate then reset and eventually eviscerate or just eviscerate with 4 points before cheap shot ends but 100% of rogues should die to the opener.

I'm looking to spec into something that's at least semi viable in PVE and effective in PVP so I'm not dumping tons of gold respeccing every week. Is there any decent tree that would accomplish that?

Maybe u will suggest buy krol blade after mace? Or it is ok to be with McGowan till u got drop from raid? And one more, can u add smth about budget fire resist guide for rogue for mc, ty!
Mass of McGowan does the same top end as Krol Blade just without the 1% crit (Which won't matter cause you're using cold blood anyway.). I mention in the guide not to bother with resist gear for pvp.

Can you please advice on a seal fate rotation?
Seal fate is a group PvP spec meant mostly for premade battlegrounds so you'll always be 5 point kidney shotting the assist target. That's pretty much it.

Swords for both since daggers don't kick off till BWL and ZG trinket.

@@eddie4691 It's semi-pre-bis until you get Dal'Rends from UBRS if you can bother. With lucky thrash procs you out dps other rogues anyway and with 6 piece shadowcraft you should be fine to raid.
You can go daggers but you'll under perform. I have gutgore / core hound as daggers and a rogue with blue swords still tops me sometimes.
Why is no pvp guide ever saying Human rogue? Everyone tells me its BiS, cuz it counters enemy rogues.
Ok im a noob, how do you sap someone and cheapshot without breaking your sap? Never seen that before.
Once you sap them, position yourself to be 90 degrees facing away from them, but still in range to cheap shot, but in a way you're too far away to attack. Once you do that, it will add 2-3 combo points, but keep them in sap. You can try a /cast cheap shot /stopattack macro but I find them to break sometimes.
hi, could you advise how to configure kick to be shown by nugrunning? i mean standard 5 second same school silence. Pre-configured kick in event list does not show anything

@@iKuba42 It's only a 5 second lockout so like 3 globals really. I don't think too much on it cause if they're trying to cast something it means they aren't in a stunlock.
I dont understand autocarrot.My carrot on stick trinket is always in play on my toon.
It auto swaps to carrot, spurs, and riding gloves when mounted, and is supposed to switch off to your other items when not.
My Mage friend always insta blink my opener and force me to vanish his poly, any advice?
Sap -> cheap shot without breaking combat -> cheap shot evisc and if he's just got a better connection then you have to vanish, but he'll be at 5 combo points.

Got a question about specific talents: have you found Murder to be worth the 2 talent points or is putting 3 points into Imp. Evisc. worth it? I've been trying to work out a sprint dagger build like this:

It'd work just fine but my personal preference is HUGE backstab and ambush crits over eviscerate crits.

@@SwoleBenji haven't had much experience with it myself, i used it for a bit then got rid of it. as far as i remember you install bluestacks, run the installer, log in with your google account, install twitter and it should be fine. not completely sure if bluestacks supports twitter or anything but its worth a shot.

With better gear it is. BWL tier 2 and up till Naxx gear it's pretty good.
@@SwoleBenji isit just me or for some reasons, rogue pvp in classic feels like a cooldown spam fest? Unlike the original vanilla. I feel that for some reasons to keep up with the heavy cooldowns spams of the current playstyle, sealfate is no longer viable.

Dwarf rogues win in rogue vs rogue because of stoneform right? Stoneform + Vanish macro is kind of like a poor man's cloak of shadows in classic :P
If you're fast or bait out the stoneform you can still CC them but it is much more difficult. Usually rogue vs rogue is whoever gets the opener anyway.
