You can replace the drip tray without removing the glass. Stick one end through the gap between the two glass panels (front glass lifted at back) then slide the other end in. Then it drops right in.

I see this vid is very old but if @Yourself is still around I want to say thanks for the great instructions. I found your roof drain cleaning vids very helpful also. I now have wind noise from the sunroof so was just looking around for some help with that & found this. I haven't checked to see if anything is uneven like you said but I'm sure one of your suggestions in this video will help. Thanks much. 👍

Now I need to slide the rear sunroof panel forward so I can access the separation in the frame itself that is causing water to leak onto my headliner before it makes it to the drain tubes.
Any suggestions on how to do that? Thanks!
Were you able to fix that seperation seam you mentioned? My sunroof on the CTS-V is leaking, but I don't believe it to be the drains, as they drain freely when tested

How to replace or reset loose rubber trim on front sun roof glass
Would replacing the drip channel stop leaks in if the sunroof isn’t leveled correctly? The front panel sits lower in the front so I feel that may be causing my leak at the passenger front. All my drip lines are clear but only the front gets wet at the pillar and eventually hit the floor depending on how heavy it’s raining
Check your drain tubes could be dirty have both problems with whistles and leaks I just got done checking the drain tubes there were real dirty he made a vid on how to located them and clean them

When you put the front glass panel back on, did you make it level with the rear glass panel? I followed your instructions, and the new drip channel got rid of the whistle noise, but there is still a wind noise. I readjusted the height of the front glass panel several times, but the wind noise still remains if going 40 mph or above.
If you are absolutely sure the wind noise is coming from the sunroof, keep trying to readjust the glass. Mine was sited straight the first time, so I was lucky.
To verify where the noise is coming from, you can record a video while driving (preferably as a passenger). Move the camera from one side to another along the roof, windows, and doors. When you rewatch the video, the loudest part should be the problem area.
Great video! I have a 2008 CTS and am experiencing this same issue. Can I use a new drip channel for a CTS? Or would you recommend using a new one for XTS?
The drip channel fits multiple models. When you find it, make sure your CTS is in the description.

You have great videos. Have you had issue where the sunroof won't open? Like one side is stuck so it won't slide back

I've used a very soft 1/4" latex rubber tubing. But it didn't work for me at all

Wouldn't happen to have the part number on that, would you? I've been looking at the diagrams and it's hard to identify which part it is.
I got that Drip Channel on eBay from this seller goo.gl/1vobmf and even-though it says for XTS it also fits on CTS (mine is 2009)

Not the worst car ever, but it’s not meant to be driven 100k+ miles. The more “bells and whistles” car has, the more problems you will have
