  • I originally made this tutorial for a person who thought they had a leaking heater core but it was actually their sunroof and thought I would share it here as well. It is almost never the heater core.
IF your car has a SUNROOF and there is water coming into the car when it rains, it is almost always a leaking sunroof drain or sunroof seal or something to do with the sunroof. This video will show you what to look for, and how to fix it. The car in this video is a 2nd Generation, 2008 Cadillac CTS, but the process is the same for Cadillac CTS's from the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years.

Thanks for the video - I just found that my leak on the driver's side is at the top of the A pillar, I guess where the tube connects to the corner sunroof drain. How is the headliner removed at the corner above the A pillar to get access to that connection so that I can see how the repair needs to be done? I've been looking all over and can't find anything that shows removal of the headliner at the front of the CTS. Thanks for whatever help you can offer. 👍

It's held on partially by your sun visor, partially by your rear passenger roof handle, a crap ton of clips around your sunroof opening, the a-pillar cover, and a few clips on the roof itself. Basically anything secured to the roof through the headliner is a sneaky fastener for the headliner itself.

@@stollo770 Thanks for the prompt and helpful response! I'll feel my way around carefully with a good idea now of what to expect as I go pulling on the edge so as not to bend or break it. 👍

I need to do this to my Cadillac. Did that lock tight work? And did you apply it to the bottom or the top of that moving part?
