I'm considering an UST projector and have done a ton of research on it so far, but you've answered several questions I had regarding screens, and how critical they really are. It seems that yes, ALR will certainly improve the situation, but for someone building a cinema room over time and on a "save and buy" budget rather than "ALL THE THINGS NOW", it is very usful to know that a projector can still be decent on a wall!! Great video! What I would also like to add is that LaserTVs can now often display Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Normal projectors can only display HDR10 and HLG. There is also the Hisense c1, but unfortunately it has a somewhat low contrast (approx. 1300:1).

I just picked up the Epson 695wi which is almost the same model but with 1080i resolution for just under $100 on Ebay with about 580 hours on it, no cord, ( got cord from a TV out on the curb) and no remote, ( about 68 cents on Aliexpress right now) Looks good so far but I haven't done a lot of testing because I don't have the remote yet. The 695 over the 685 is a no brainer, I was surprised that even with the 1080 there is still a screen door effect

How can I figure out the relative height distance for a 135 inch screen? I have the Wemax Nova and a 135 inch elite screen aeon series. I have the throw distance figured out but the height distance is giving me troubles
New and expensive UST models are good for games they are most of the time 2500$ and above I've mentioned in video but you can buy 750$-900$ long throw 4K projectors support 4ms 240hz gaming
Hello and congratulations for the video🔥I wanted to ask if you can help me understand if it is really an ultra short throw projector even if the data sheet says it can do from 80 to 130 inches, if I can bring the projector closer to the wall I can reduce the picture let's say 65 inch? Let's assume we succeed, so could the focus still be done? Because I already own a 65 inch screen and the distance from the sofa to the screen is just the right size for me, but I can't find anywhere if these projectors still manage to project smaller images by moving the projector a few inches closer to the wall. Hi, Every projector has minimal focus distance I believe these education purpose Epsons Hitachi and Casi models can go small arround 65-70" size you have focus lever on filter side and you can adjust. even if you cant make perfect focust when you get close you can project 75 and go digitally zoom 65 but in test I remember I can focus close size to 65" without problem but I recommend 75-80" sizes because these are wery bright projectors and from distance they are very good for video. You need to look for grey more contrasting screens my video will be coming on that topic soon.( hopefully ) With Xiaomi 4K projector I can nearlytouch the projector to screen or wall an get 65" perfect visual like tv ( that video will be coming soon ) Do you have the budget and are you going to get rid of tv setup continue with projector ?
@@homecinematech I would have seen the Xgimi Aura which seems to me an interesting projector with the maximum budget I have available of 2000 euros... I already have a gray screen and I come from a Vivitek h1188 projector which is really very high quality, but unfortunately having moved to in a new house it is not possible for me to install it 2.5 meters away to have 60 inches, the only solution is to change an ultra short throw projector or vice versa a long throw projector since the wall is 5 meters away from the screen. The least invasive and ultra short focal solution but I can't find anywhere if it is possible for me to reduce the image with the attached focus with the digital zoom ....

İdeal way is always placing your projector for screen size you wanted and see in live action where your screen starts.
