AFP should make a purchase already, Jas39 or F16 are both good MRF, but in terms of more spare parts available i would go for F16, and now there are a lot of countries that are decommissioning their F16, means more available aircraft we can purchase in the future, now Jas39 are also good in terms of operational cost is much cheaper! but components are hard to get! so we need to rely on Sweden for parts! but again both are the best MRF for us, for future aircraft we can go for the New SKorean Borome or the new Turkish TAI aircraft!

Can our current air assets F50 really deter any 5th generation fighter jets of China? I think we need better fighter jets. Our current fighter jets can be wiped out in minutes if a real attack happens from China. SAMs must be in place to help protect our airspace. We need to purchase better jet fighters now. What do they plan to buy? It cannot be any used jet fighters. It has to be the modern fighters so that we have a chance of defending ourselves.
