Hey, guys! I just realized these Fruit Slices also make awesome Pot & Pan Protectors. I place one on the bottom of each pot/pan in my cupboard, so that when I stack them, they don't scratch. Yay!
@@emullinsstreams use lighter weight yarn with smaller needles.
I'm having the hardest time getting started with this pattern. At what point do the 2 colors become joined ? I watched the video 4 or 5 times & re-read the pattern but am not seeing how it's done. Please advise.Thank you.
@@thirdsister107hello I had much trouble too. I only watched video. And many times.
. but !! having made two,
I saw my errors.
This is done by STRANDING.
Carrying is not done.
MAKING
4 BALLS..long enough to complete A slice.
2 white and
2 of your main color
(WHAT I DID)
Keeping your strands separate.
Also, use a type of marker a pin to REMIND you which side is the back, important.
You wrap as she instructed only on the back.
On front KNIT that one white one and crossing the COLOR strand over the white on the back side, so there's no hole or gap.
I'm still learning by my mistakes. 4th one looks way better.
You may, like me have to make a couple wrong so you can see on next one, make the corrections.
I hope this is clear and helps. 😊
Thank you for this! They always just show crochet for these so I'm glad you shared a knit version!
I know, right!?!?! There are soooo many cool rounded items to crochet. I was excited to figure this out for knitting!
Exactly~!! I can't crochet,,AT ALL,,not even a simple chain stitch. I just can't seem to do it. Im a whizz at knitting tho and get so frustrated when all I can find is crochet patterns for something I want to make! For example....barefoot sandals~!! All the cute ones are crochet
:(
I've found maybe 2 that are knit and I don't like either of them (hint hint ;) )
I've tried making up my own pattern, which I DO like better, but I just don't have the skills to come up with something STUNNING~!!🥢
I know whenever I want to knit something I feel like there is only crochet patterns thank you so much for this pattern Kristen
I agree. I prefer this knitted version ❤
Супер, спасибо.
Love them. Too cute to use.
Omg so bright and sunny and happy!!! I love this
So cute, these will make great gifts too! Love them. 💜
Cool! I love that it can replace dishcloths and washcloths! So cute!
+Break n Remake Hi, Joan, thanks!! I love your clay tutorial this week!!
I love these. I was looking for round dishcloths. I’m happy I found this
This is such a cute way to liven things up around the house!
I love this washcloth. I hope it'll be easy when I knit it. It is only been maybe a year-and-a-half that I just learn how to knit. My nephew and I learn how to knit from a DVD that I bought at Walmart. Thank you for your awesome pattern. 👍😁
you are an real artist thank you !
Wonderful job on very clear directions!! Thank you! Will definitely give this a try.
One of my favourites❤
Oh I love these citrus, so summery! I will have to make some, and I have plenty of dishcloth cotton yarn hanging around.
I love your tutorials!💯
Happy to hear that!
Cute project! Thanks for the pattern!
Kristen, your vidéo is very very easy to follow the instruction for these knitted cercles. I love it, since I have 2 hands full of thumbs with crochet.
Merci, for your work and vidéo
Yolande
You'll never know how much your video helped me .....all your videos are helpful thank you for your useful page
Awesome ideas/gifts from you!
Thank you for the videos.
I love your knitting ideas.
You're so welcome and thanks! Happy knitting to you.
Simply love it! 💖
Hi, Carmen - Awesome, thank you!
Thank you ...love it👍😘
Can you post more circular dish cloths in knit because I find a lot in crochet and knitting in the round? Love this pattern can't wait to knit it
So Cute, I can't wait to make some! Suggestion: DPNs! I found that knitting small flat projects with double-pointed needles with a stitch protector at one end was just the thing! A perfect way to use the set of DPNs my Great Aunt handed down to me. I use the DPN's for knitting dish/wash clothes, baby bibs & booties and other small projects. I have never been able to handle standard straight needles and it kept me from knitting for many years until a friend set me straight by suggesting I use circular needles to knit flat. I also tried knitting in the round with DPNs -- I am hopeless with more than 2 things in my hands at a time (truly it is almost comedic). But for these kinds of projects they are great--no cord to get in the way, not so long that they keep getting caught in my sleeves, elbows, beating up my forearm, the arm of my chair.... Just perfect! I can see my Great Aunt in my mind smiling down at me each time I use her needles and hooks.
I like it.
Very cool colors too.
Hi, Miss Lily!!! Aw, thanks so much! I hope you're having a great summer!
I love these and thanks for the demonstration you're so amazing now i can't wait to do these.
Hi, Franca! Thanks so much! Happy knitting to you!
These are so cute! Thank you for sharing
Glad you like them!
Love it !! 💜
Hi, Miss Jackie!! Thanks so much! Happy knitting to you.
You are the god gifted precious person✝️❤
I really like Kristyn's knitting shows.
So pretty
Thanks, Caroll!
So happy to say, SUCCESS!! Thank you for the Free Pattern... finally I get it.
P. S. Your way is way better. Stranding nor carrying needed. Less fuss less twisted strands❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great job!
@@studioknit many thanks
Hello, I used this pattern to make an umbrella for a doll. Works perfect and is a collapsible umbrella ❤
Ну просто прелесть Спасибо
These are really cute. :)
Hi, Anne - Thanks so much!
Thank you for the correction and clarifying the error. I am excited to try this. Thanks again. I really enjoy your videos. While I have your attention I hope you can show us how to knit a fox scarf and adding or changing color in the face.
+Tammy A Oh, I love those!!!!
Love it! You wouldn't happen to have a smaller coaster size pattern written out for this would you? I'd love to arm knit it, but the pattern needs to be significantly smaller or my blanket will be the size of my living room! Thanks for all your lovely video's and hard work!
For a coaster, cast on a total 10 stitches and size the pattern down that way.
I really want to make it
But it’s difficult
Hello, love this pattern, but how do we make them bigger or smaller?
So cute!! Is there a way to close up the center?
Just to say it might be in the video I didn’t it in it’s entirety
Do you continue to bring the yarns to the front and back rows 3 - 12 as in rows 1 and 2?
Im getting in a jumble, after row 2, do i keep moving strands back and to the front on each subsequent row? it's hard to know when as it isn't in the other rows when to do this. Loving trying this pattern
NEW COMMENT:
Hello again! Thank you!!! I see the Free Pattern posted now. Thanks so much.
I sent you an email about carrying the yarn - stranding.
thank you Kristen😊
Hi, the pattern states... that it is FREE. I dont see the Free pattern.
For the bind off row do you use mc the whole time or switch to the white for the one stitch near the end?
Aleia Judd Hey! I know I’m late but I was super confused too. I just knit the whole row MC and wove in the white
I love this pattern so much and i was always wanted to make something like this so much!! I do have a question though, how woild you knit for the middle so you don't have an opening ?
Yes, you can easily cinch the middle together when tacking your edge at the end. Looks great!
@@studioknit ohhhhh omg thats great!!! Thank you so so much!
You use Sugar n Cream yarn? Omg! I LOVE Sugar n Cream!
+All Music for People Yay!!! It's awesome!!!
hey, quick question: is the white part (the stripes) supposed to be separate from the rest of the piece?? like, attached to 1 point?? (the first few rows) bc thats happening with my one and im confused as to what i did wrong.
Haylee Tam Hey! I know I’m late but yes, the first two rows they will be separate.
Haylee, my outer circle of white is detached - not the stripes. Wondered what I am doing wrong...
@@dianavoerg8197 did you ever figure it out? I have trie this pattern a few times and I can’t figure it out
I don’t knit this style so it is hard for me to understand what she is doing and saying.
Can I use self striping or ombre yarn for this project and if so do I follow the same pattern/instructions. Thanks
Yes, absolutely 💖
How do I scale it down
When I cast on 12 it turns out smaller than 8". I want to keep the stitch fairly tight so I don't want to increase the needle size. Do I just cast on additional stitches, decrease 2 at a time (like original)?
Exactly!!!
You probably already know this, but there are two row sevens and eights so I will just do 12 total rows on my stitch counter so I don’t get mixed up. This is very cute. Is there a way to make the white not as thick? Thanks again!
Sorry, to clarify, wondering if there is a way to make the white border thinner on the start of the circle so it matches the other white borders?
If not no biggie, was just curious.
Thanks!
i can"t find the pattern is it still available
I'm a little confused about the bind off I'm at the end of the last edge. How do I knit it off
Tammy A I was wondering too, because there’s two different colors?
8 inches = 20 centimeters.
Update! I see my 'Trouble"😊
😮 Hi there!
I've tried this 4 times now. 😢 something I'm not getting. I'm not new to knitting. I just dont see what I'm doin wrong. HELP! I really want to create these pretty slices!!
When I tried this pattern, the whit row around the edge is detached from the MC. Is that the way it should be??
Mine too! What is going on?
I knit continental and I don’t understand I checked another video no one addresses this as a possible problem I’m frustrated!
I didn't understand this video.
Jennifer Fatzinger if you read the pattern while watching the video, it helps. At least, it helped me. She does say that the video is ‘Highlights’ of the pattern.
@@azzabar I understand video better.
I dont understand the difference between the right and the wrong side
Hi, Hannah - This video I created about right and wrong should help! ua-cam.com/video/2ydfl5i8r2Y/v-deo.html
