If I understand right 1 channel is mono and 2 channel is stereo, am I RIGHT? So if I or someone else was listening back on headset, then my voice would only come through 1 earphone?
To see the difference between 32 and 64 bits, you can press "Windows + Pause" and it'll show you directly, but all the Windows OS' are 64 bits since Windows 10. You're the first person that did this, and was actually able to make me understand how it works, not just what to do. Thanks man!
I had Audition for years, mostly used it for audio effects and correction on audio clips, started using Voicemetter but had a lot of issues with some feedback settings, also recently they put on a timer if you were using it without donating, so I had to wait to load it up. I had no idea it was this easy with Audition, just the Virtual Cable a simple Plugin and you good to go!
Wow! This was the best tutorial I have found in years of searching for JUST this! I have been editing my mic audio in Audition for my UA-cam videos, but needed to know how to do it for my live streams. Not only did this do the job, but the plugin provided does a better job than my previous way. I only had to modify two things from your Template because my Condenser mic is VERY sensitive. (Changed my Mic Input in Windows to 70 instead of 100 as it was way too hot, and changed the Hard Limiter from -2.5 to -12) Subbed right away. Big Thank You!
for anyone having trouble getting the plug-ins to load - if you're using a version of Audition that's older than CC (such as CS6), it will be a 32-bit program and you'll need to download the 32-bit plugins even if you're using a 64-bit computer.
@@alexander.995 possibly!! It should choose the right directory by default but definitely make sure its in the right place - id run the installer again and check what directory it installs to
If you are worried about the Latency you may turn it down to 50 ms, its a very short delay vs 200 ms. Problem is, if you don't have a capable machine to process/render that you may experience some static almost sounding like you are just cutting out. So for me personally I leave it at 200 ms, it'll give me CPU/GPU enough time to do it's thing. But what about Bad Lip sync with your camera? Well I add a "Video Delay" or a "Render Delay" (pick one in OBS/SLOBS) by right clicking on my Webcam (Video Capture Device) then clicking on "Filters" then choosing the Video Delay or Render Delay, and match my audio latency with that, so it does not look like I have bad lip sync. -- I also do it on my capture card, and or my game capture, so everything matches. -- I know some of you may disagree 'cause you want everything LIVE as it's happening, I mean there's a small delay, less then 1/4 of a second or whatever. Plus in theory ..."IN THEORY" adding these delays should help with your CPU/GPU rendering, such as adding keyframes in that example less stress on your machine. Hopefully this will help you out. Forget to mention this in the video!
why did you use 32 bit depth on the new multi-track session if were doing 16-bit for everything else?? Also my mic is not recording both the R and L. it's only recording one channel.... ughhh.

I perform covers and I plan to do soon some live streaming and I believe if we set multiple tracks then I can, for example, put a background music alongside my voice, right? I was trying to do this using Voicemeeter but I had a delay problem where the track was faster than my voice, but I believe with adobe audition I can set the latency easier, additionally, I am more familiar with it, I didn't know that it is possible to perform this virtualization using audition. Codexual love your channel! One question, I get a doubled audio after recording. When I watch my twitch stream, my mic in the recording sounds like I am in a steel barrel. I think it is something with voicemeeter and which ins and outs but not sure. ANy thoughts?

Nice tutorial for the effects!!! Just one very individual specific thought on the virtual cable driver. I was hoping to find an alternative for VB Audio Voicemeeter and that virtual cable, because the Virtual Cable Driver causes my computer to crash when plying PUBG (and only that). I cannot explain why it's doing it, but it's 100% reproducable at least on my machine. If I remove VB-Adio Cable, I can play PUBG. If I use it, my machine will crash after some minutes pubg. I don't say it's affecting all of you, but if you have such behavior, try uninstalling VB-Adio Virtaul Cable and try again. So the thing is I doubt that driver is programmed very stable and also that game is known to be unstable. (Please don't anser trying to solve my problem, I'm okay with my workaround.)

@@DemonSaine Whats 4 dollars? The only thing you need to pay for is Audition, unless you pirate it of course. But, that's ALL you have to pay for. You don't need any additional programs just to set this up. Psynaps actually has a pretty good tutorial as well, which this guy references in his description.
I followed these instructions EXACTLY, however how can I stop Audition from repeating my voice? If I turn Input Monitoring off it will not output the audio to SLOBS, or anywhere else. Windows audio settings set up just like in the video.

If ALL my wife wants to do is improve the sound of her Facebook live and Zoom teaching sessions she does, does she need OBS or xSplit? Wouldn't we just set up the sound in Adobe as you showed, install the virtual cable, and select that as the input in FB live or zoom? She's not broadcasting a game.
Hello. I'm trying to do a multi track session in adobe adution but i'm trying to monitor my voice with sound effects applied back live via VoiceMeeter Potato. I don't want to use the monitor button in adobe audition because it causes audio lag. By the way the master section of voicemeeter potato has b1, b2, b3 set to composite. Any tips?! Because I can't get any audition sound effect feed back when i monitor my voice in voicemeeter.

Ok so i got as far as going to put the cockos in and have installed all the programs but when i go to add a cockos there are no files found and when i did the search in the plugin manger it also found no files. please can you help me with this. Great work tho and wish i had found this ages ago
Don't know if someone will answer this still but when I do every step and connect it to OBS I also have sound on my mic but when recording there is no audio from me in the video. Can't find the mistake

It's more complicated but I'd rather use the program "Reaper". Adobe audition freezes way too often. Every time you boot up a game in fullscreen or anything in fullscreen while using adobe audition your mic stops working and freezes the input/output. No freezes with Reaper

Adfly does some devious crap, and has sent me somewhere else before and tried to auto download a virus, I was able to use A linux machine to open that same adfly and it took me to the right link. What audio card are using for this tutorial. I use FOCUSRITE 2I2 first generation and I can do live voice processing due to the latency problem.

You can do that yes. If its possible to select the input device on that software (FB Live or Zoom)

Yes there is, you can use Hi-Fi Output (VB-Audio Hi-Fi Cable) as the input device ;)
the preset says download shows a .exe extension.. shouldnt it be an .sesx file? i dint download it.

Where did you download the VSTs?
There is no option for the DVD Quality format. I'm using an AT2035 connected to a Scarlett Solo.

I think you just have to go into the Audition edit and under audio devices play with the MS settings

Try using ReaStream. I think you can get the plugin from Reaper's website for free.
