The powersource is not really the plotdevice here. Its background item from previous story and the actual plot revolves around titus and his efforts to bond with his chapter again.
Titus is being protected by the Emperor, he wasn't a blank from what their Psykers have seen, and not corrupted either. He shows traits similar to Imperial Saints that are blessed by the Emperor directly.
Guess the same can be said to Malum Caedo since that guy survived the forge while facing hordes of enemies. He must've been blessed by the emperor as well
You never needed to be protected from the chaos influence if you had strong wits about you. Regular humans resist the chaos all the time in wh40k. Its just that inquisition are headstrong about containing corruption by extreme measures.
5:48 Once again we see certain somebody worshipping the space book. The Ultramarines ludicrous adherence to the Codex Astartes is one of the main reasons they get a bad name in my opinion.
As an Ultramarines player and fan, it for sure is a major reason we get flak lmao. Like all chapters, though, it has unique characters. Some are more fervent and some more aligned with what Guilliman has said about it.
Im worried the rubicon surgery might have lessened his chaos resistance but considering he then slayed a chaos lord he must be still recovering from the surgery
He’s considered Blank an exceedingly rare type of human mutant that possesses no presence in the Warp But that Damn Prick And Stupid inquisition thought he’s corrupted by Chaos
The weird thing to me is this isn't explained properly at all. So in the first SM game, he can resist it and power through it, but now that hes primaris and its later on it actually hurts him and makes him weaker???? This literally makes no sense. We also dont understand what in the fuck it actually is really.
I mean you said it yourself. He can resist and power through it, but it still hurts him. And he just crossed the Rubicon, after getting deathly impaled. Also you are looking for logic In a universe where there are 100m tall walking cathedrals of doom.
@@Loispealz34 Not logic, just a reasonably good explanation other than "its a power source". They kept using the line "a fragment of the dark gods power" but that's just obscure nonsense they used just so they don't have too, at least give it some purpose. Kugaths maggots leaving his mouth out of boredom is more expansive than that particular plot device. It just feels like the entire game, its just too much bickering writing wise. And it just feels like the need to turn him into primaris ended up being a scape goat to underpower him until the very end. His ability to resist was the reason leandros was so adamant he was corrupted to begin with. I love the game but the writing could of been a lot better.
@@adastrawill Well as the other mentioned, Titus are not at his peak. Mentally scarred, Bodily almost broken then get patched up with upgrade. Most need a few more days than just 2 days to be able to perform.
The look on Gadriel and Chairon’s face when Titus said he’s 2 days post-rubicon surgery:
“Wtf?!?! How are you even standing???”
That damn powersource is really the main plot motivator in this game series huh
Wouldn't be warhammer if a Maguffin wasn't involved somewhere

As Calgar says in the final scene. 'No evil will ever overcome a devotion such as yours'

spoiler: he Leandros
For many in 40K Codex Astartes are equalaivant of Space Bible. But there are many codexes, he might not meant Codex Astartes.

Brother, he's a named, helmetless. loyalist marine. He's the most powerful 40K character.

Why do they bother sending such a large force, they could've just sent Malum Caedo on a parachute
