PMDG 737-800 RNAV Approach & Landing TUTORIAL (4K)

lovely guide mate! i had a difficult time with the rnav app on 737 pmdg 08:15 a correction this is the Ionian Sea , Aegean sea is at the other side of Greece :)

Nice tutorial... Question I noticed that you didn't press Approach button on the MCP... is that only for ILS landings on the 737?

That’s as I understand it as far as the 737 goes yes, but if there’s any type rated pilots out there who would like to offer any more context as to why, I too would be really interested as I’m not exactly sure! 👍

​@@seven3simmeryou are quite correct APP mode for an ILS (and GLS) approach only. Will not work on an RNP approach unless you have the frequency set.. then it wont be an RNP approach anymore. 737 type rated pilot flying the actual aircraft depicted.

On the approach plate, where do I find the VOR frequency?

Hey Ryan… on the charts the VOR is shown as a round circle that looks a bit like a compass - then it has a rectangular box with a line pointing to the VOR with the 3 letter identifier code and the frequency. In this example if I remember I tuned to the Kerkira (KRK) 114.7
