- Africa by Toto is one of everyone's favorite songs! It was originally released in 1982, and it is still just so GOOD! I arranged Africa for 6 trombones. The audio for this video was recorded using only Shure MV88s and iPads! I made the drum track in GarageBand and I am super happy with how it turned out. I will definitely be using the GarageBand drums more in the future, it just adds so much to the track. Especially for an upbeat, fun song like Africa!

Hi Lisa, I just picked up an MV88 for recording my Bass Trombone stuff for our "stay at home" rehearsals. Our Stony Brook University Wind Ensemble is currently doing virtual rehearsals, and performances. I was using my Olympus OM-D Digital Camera with a simple clip-on mic attached to my bell. After watching your review, and Africa, I can't wait to start recording into my iPhone using the Motiv Video app. Thanks for posting. Can't wait to hear more from you.

I usually don’t use the MOTIV video app to record trombone, only speaking parts. I think the MOTIV audio app works way better. I almost always record audio and video separately for my videos. Just Incase you were wondering!

I hope there was a safety wire connected to a branch for that balance trick. No way in hell. I refuse to let my slide touch the floor unless there's an infant falling and then there's a judgement call on the height of the fall.
Unfortunately there wasn't.... haha! 😂 Are you talking about the foot balance or the hand balance, or both?! I can't do the foot balance one, I would definitely drop my horn!
