2023 and I am revisiting all their songs. They have such a strong meaning and I am enjoying them in a complete different way after 30 years. They create music from their heart and from an honest and authentic space. Hope they keep with their creative dynamic which allows us to keep enjoying the best meaningful and timeless music of all times. Love them!

Speaking on wanting to write songs that are meaningful ... often, very often actually, there are songs (especially written by you) that feel like they are actually about me. They perfectly describe my feelings/thoughts in the moment and listening to them over and over helps to resolve things I'm going through or went through. They're .. therapeutic.

Said this in a previous video but Mag's songs have been the highlight of A-ha's albums ever since Lifelines came out. I found lifelines album hard work apart from the excellent title track, until the last 4 or 5 tracks all penned by mags which were sublime. Trend has continued since

I love A ha. Where I live they were never a "one hit wonder" band. Hunting high and low, sun always shines on tv, stand these roads, were well known too. And I m happy that after a long time, since some years ago, they reunited. "Max" (Norwegian names can be a bit complicated 😏) has an adorable voice, with a charming musicality in the way he speaks, and he is also a great musician of course. And still very good looking 😍🥰

There are tons of Morten Harket fan clubs you can belong to where you can go on and on about him to your heart’s content. Also videos, articles, photo’s everywhere of just Morten Harket you can comment on. You can go on like all the others with comments like “Morten’s hot. Morten is the most beautiful man in the universe. Morten is God. Say he’s the love of your life. Ask him to Marry you. Tell him you want to have his Love Child…whatever…etc etc.”. on all those places. Why say what you did here?This is obviously an interview with just Magne talking about A-ha, the group, and their latest album, True North. (Said so in the description. It didn’t say “All about Morten Harket and nothing else”. )🤔🤔🤷🏻♀️

Maybe your next new album after this one could be entitled, "Hopes, Dreams & Fears" I know you all put so much thought into the song compositions and are inspired by your surroundings and the relationships you have with other people. I totally agree with your sentiments on Take on Me. I love all versions of the song, but the original video was genius. Well done Magne for coming up with the riff to that song. I love you guys!!! 💕💕

Personally, I am so happy they didn’t make another song like Take on Me. Is it true, possibly true that the three of them have no clue that they have TONS of songs after Take on Me that people (like me) are completely and totally head over heels in love with? That there are MANY of us out there like that? Wow…
If I never heard Take on Me again, it would be fine by me. Once I heard all their other stuff, there was no going back to that one.
I will always appreciate it for it’s what got them noticed. Without that song, I might have not heard of them or been able to enjoy their other truly amazing songs.
I do love the Unplugged one for how it has the melancholiness that Magne describes above. It seems to fit them more, IMHO.
Although it would be freaking awesome to hear them play the “Lesson One” version live. I would love to hear Morten do the rooster call and sing “I know this got to be good!” .😂😂😂
I would pay good money to hear that live over any other version of Take on Me !🤣
But seriously Magne….no no no…. You guys gave us a treasure trove of phenomenal music that goes waaay beyond Take on Me. Wish they could know that somehow. I hate to think they believe people care about that more than any other work of art they put out. 😕
I know people like to go on about Morten and his looks mostly. To me, the hottest thing about all three of them is their Brains and Hearts for that is where all the magic originates.❤
