🎶(ISRAEL, a very disputed and important country in terms of development and technology...,A-HA, a very loved and important band in terms of musical and humanitarian development.)/ A-ha in ISRAEL perfect wedding!..., I love ISRAEL and I love A-HA. Very meaningful interview for fans.../ Objetive questions with answers full of wisdom and simplicity.../ Pal Wakkatar's answer was very relevant, about the technological and virtual advancement in music productions with audience interaction throughout their careers./🎶 Integrity is the key word for the character of the three, who have always stood out with the truth.🎶🎶🎶🌷

Very good interview that shows that these three guys are not only skilled songwriters and musicians, but also that they have very good judgment skills.

I have regrets with a-ha. After watching “A-ha the Movie”, I learned a lot. (The interviewer asked if they had any regrets and it made me think of mine)A big regret was letting myself get sucked up in the Media and music industry trap of making Morten an object and putting Magne and Pål in the background. Be it that I was 13 when Take on Me came out. I don’t remember exactly when I first had a “crush” on Morten or really saw only him with the band, but Media and the Music Industry did brainwash me for sure.
I regret that I was only kind of into them in high school. (A friend and I knew of Hunting High and Low as well as Stay on these Roads albums. We didn’t realize there were others)
I regret falling into another trap of just basically listening to the Hunting High and Low as well as Stay on These Road albums for years. Not really using my brain to explore their other music.
I regret letting myself listen to Take on Me whenever it came on the radio. I live in America, so that is a CRAZY amount of times! That was the only song they played and still only play. I am almost 50 now. I am sure I have heard it a million times and it is forever burned into my brain! It can go on auto play up there.😂 After hearing their other stuff that really isn’t like Take on Me at all and REALLY loving that, I am not very fond of Take on Me and wish it would retire! 😂 I am grateful for it is the song that got them noticed. Without it, I probably wouldn’t have ever heard of them and heard so many amazing songs. That is about all it’s good for for me now. Oh, I do love the unplugged one for it sounds more melancholy, like the other songs I love from them. I do love the original “Juicey Fruit” one that the Bridges play for it’s 60’s rock vibe. I also love the Lesson one version for the rooster call and when Morten belts out something like “I know this got to be good!”, for it cracks me up! I wish they would play that version at a concert! That would be awesome!😂
I find it interesting with the me too movement, (another question the interviewer asjed about)thinking of how Morten could be treated like an object. Watching the interview where a female reporter went on and on about his looks till it was absolutely cringeworthy. Her ACTUALLY asking him to take his top off! 😱 This is equally disgusting as if a male reporter did it to a female musician. It’s not okay that he went through that stuff. It’s not cool that you can watch a video of a-ha or just Morten, belting out some amazing stuff with his golden pipes, and the main comments are about his looks. How “hot” or “beautiful” he is and sometimes pretty crude stuff. Not as much about his voice or much about Magne and Pål’s talents. That is sad and not right.
Oh wow, there’s my novel. Will stop now. Sorry 🫢🙃

Well observed regarding Morten and me too-campaign. I completely agree with you on that matter. Otherwise, I think the band responded well, and especially Magne at the end there, who said that they are against abuse of power in any shape or form.

The italian concert houses dont let them because they dont think they can fill the concert halls, because they dont have had a hit there since 1990. But they still have many fans there and the 80s songs charted well in Italy

I love a-ha but I am disappointed in their position on Israel….i do wonder what they think now….and I do wonder if they were aware of the plight of the Palestinians….i remember musicians boycotting South Africa for apartheid….why not boycott Israel?

This interview was from 2018. Also though, unfortunately it can’t be over cause this stuff still happens. Although it does happen to women more, it can happen to anyone, really. It is disturbing for anyone to have to put up with that stuff.
