Well I would say the a lot of the same old moves were used after Super Saiyan. Super Saiyan is just a strength and speed multiplayer after all. The only things that I can think of that were thrown to side were the relevance of the other main characters because they couldn’t match up to Goku or Vegeta’s brute strength. That and Kaioken and the Oozaru form were thrown to way side for the most part.
But I see what your saying, I personally hate Dragon Balls scaling sometimes. It’s just so ridiculous. I don’t like it when characters grow exponentially in strength for no reason and get so strong that their feats can’t even be shown properly. Goku has gotten to the point he can destroy several universes and yet he can manage to go all out without destroying a planet or even a city. I realize the explanation for this is ki control but it just goes against all logic for me. Like any universal level character could kill everyone, regardless if there are characters stronger than them. All they got to do is just destroy the universe. I’m glad real life isn’t like Dragon Ball. It would be too dangerous for one individual to be more powerful and durable than the universe we live in. That’s like inventing an axe in a world where the toughest thing to break is a nut. A simple nut breaker would suffice, anything else is overkill.

He's the ultimate disciple because his lack of natural martial arts talent means that he's an empty vessel able to copy anything his masters teach him because as he keeps learning, the size of the vessel is expanding as he trains, rather than being subjected to the limits that talent can inflict on people.

They're not only laughing about the fact that he's imitating them, (and PERFECTLY too) but they're also incredibly proud of Kenichi and how far he's come as a martial artist. Without even a SPECK of natural talent for the craft, he was still able to win. Its essentially the same feeling you may get when watching an anime (or any form of media for that matter) and you see the protagonist perform a move or win a fight that they would have lost if they hadn't learned it in time.
Simply put, they're proud of their disciple, from extremely humble beginnings to legend. That, and let's be honest, people have an amazingly hard time ignoring a fight, let alone cheering on one of the people involved.

His Pettiness wasn't what bothered me honestly, it was the very fact that they both saw Miu fight to PROTECT the little old lady from Thugs, used her skill and strength to save another, the exact lesson Kenichi came to embody, that one's strength isn't meant to be used for lording it over the weak, LIKE THE THUGS WERE DOING to the little old lady. However that 'one loss' somehow made it so he came to the realization that the THUGS were the one's in the right? That if you have power you deserve to walk all over others? Seriously, why didn't ANYONE throw that in his face? Just straight up, 'So you thought Miu was being a fool? Using her great skills and ability to save a 'worthless old woman'?'
But they never did, and I think it was specifically for the hypocrisy of it all, because after this fight the 'triggering incident' is never mentioned again in the story. Just that 'Miu' was both their motivating factors for getting strong. Just Kenichi wanted to do it in a way that would honor her beliefs, while Ryuto and eventually Kano Shou thought they needed to be willing to do ANYTHING to protect her, and that the 'Life Saving Fist' was too Weak to protect her from Danger, even if it meant spitting on her beliefs because they thought they could convince HER she was wrong as well.
*Edit* Also, I always got a kick out of all the people he fights saying that The Katsugen-ken could never reach TRUE mastery, or that it would always be weaker than Satsujin-ken, seriously I wish Kenichi would have just smiled and been like, "REALLY? O FUCKING K, if Satsujin-ken is ALWAYS stronger, here's my Master Apachai. As you said Katsujin-ken could never be stronger than Satsujin-ken, so I imagine you can take him easily. Have fucking fun...." , "Bu..... But he's a Mast..." , "No you fucking don't! You JUST SAID Katsujin-ken could never lead to TRUE Mastery, so he's NOT a Master, not to YOU right? So go ahead, prove Satsujin-ken is the flawless winner." And just sits down with a smug smile :P

Kenichi Shirahama went from a bullying victim and a punching bag to History's Strongest Disciple. What sheer character development.
For those who have not seen this anime yet, I highly suggest you watch this old but gold gem of a martial arts anime. Today's martial arts anime is all about fighting in the ring with barely a story or whatsoever. But this, this is different, the anime has got the story and character development of the characters and has the charm and energy of characters that will keep you hooked until the end.
So proud of Kenichi, for having come this far. Through his past experiences and hellish training from his 6 masters, he was able to come this far on his own and become The Mightiest Disciple.

So Kenichi's Special Ability is one only shared by The Elder? Interesting, being able to copy martial arts by just experiencing it firsthand or seeing it is an amazing trait.
But Kenichi goes one step above and finds a way to incorporate multiple styles at once, essentially using Yujiro's Ability, no wonder he was able to beat The Elder in the future.
He must have been able to do what MMA Fighters have done and weeded out every single personal or blatant imperfection in each of his Master's Martial Arts and then implemented them together to create a similar but ultimately original fighting style.
In other words, the *Ultimate Fighting Style: Descriple Style*
By the User putting themselves in a position of learning, they become able to rapidly adapt and mimic another individual's movements, with the rate of mastery depending on how skilled the User is at using this Style.
The only requirement is the aptitude to learn and the willpower to endure, which Kenichi has in spades, theoretically as an Adult he could become stronger than The Elder ever could be.

I agree with that philosophy, Martial Art d is the the art of imitation. Especially, when ur a beginner at martial arts initially ur lesson is going to be to imitate ur masters and instructors as best u can. I practiced Taekwondo in the past, and from their we are not even allowed to modify any forms and technique during training, based on specification, unless if we're black belts or higher belt.. Which makes sense that black belts or higher belts are the only one allowed to modify a form or technique, since they have knowledge, experience, and proficiency to back it up.
That doesn't just apply on martial arts either, you cand apply that in any fields of study, like you go to become a doctor, you don't go modifying each of the procedures based on your own specification, right in the beginning instead you try mirroring someone more experienced than u.
