have you ever read the epic of gilgamesh? it's honestly a pretty good story (though to be perfectly frank odds are whatever version you find if you decide to read it will be pretty different from what I found since it'll've been through a half dozen translations at the low end and probably some pretty heavy censorship and reculturalization at every stage) anyways back to my actual point: gilgamesh very much does NOT own everything he just has superpowers and nobody can tell him no so he functionally owns whatever he can get his hands on...for as long as it is in his hands. literally the only other person in the story that willingly interacts with him at _any_ point in time is Enkidu and even that is mostly because the guy was still learning how to be a person at the time on account of having been straight up raised by...I was going to say "wolves" out of force of habit because it is almost always wolves in these stories but if memory serves I think it was _goats_ in his case weirdly enough. seriously, Gilgamesh is such an insufferable little shit-and-entitlement soufflé that when he finally did something that ticked the gods off enough to make them stop pretending that he doesn't exist and do something about the problem they got into a giant argument with eachother over who would be forced to have to actually interact with him for the moment it would take to kill him, he was pretty much the most hated and more to the point _shunned_ person in the world and proclaimed himself the owner and ruler of all things based solely on the fact that he had not yet found someone who could stop him, he is about as far from being a ruler as you can possibly get let alone being a King and that is pretty much the point of the actual story (being a King requires being a _leader_ as well as being a ruler, those two things are very much *not* one and the same). that said Fate's gilgamesh is surprisingly close to original recipe for being such a wildly different character in execution: it's kinda a "what would happen if _that_ Gilgamesh had actual social skills and the capacity to weigh priorities and plan grafted on to him?" thought exercise.
