Knowing the story of the anime / manga, there is no way to watch this scene without a smile on your face. In my opinion, one of the best scenes of all anime, if not the best.
100% agreed, haven't watched this anime in a long long time but still always come back to this from time to time. And can never watch it completely without crying from laughter!

i stumbled upon this, and man, this clip gave me huge nostalgia. it might be because of the flashback or the sheer number of characters in this 7 minutes video, but it just hit me... I really wish they remake this into a full series, it was a shame to drop a good shonen while other less deserving mangas got a full anime
@Synchro-tq1mo it's a shame this anime was never that much successful. HSDK while not being in my personal top 10, was a very good shonen and deserved much better. it would be very nice to see a reboot with a decent animation studio taking it up to animate the whole series
Yea it's really good.. Because sometimes she gets too serious and made a super high quality probably about 4-6cm katana for her mouse to use when she was held captive or something lmfao

For me the 50 episodes is so slow... It would have been epic if was 24 episodes... And wanted to see more Seasons.... With more fighting as per manga... And they changed the look of kenichi and the girl in manga it self... They made a total make over to them
It's 2024 now. Still gives me a smile when I see Kenichi imitating his masters. This is him basically weaponizing PTSD. Wish they continued the anime. This anime has the Saitama formula but lessened. The stakes are high when it is the students fighting. When the masters fight you are in for an awesome fight. Sauce: History's Strongest Desciple
It's wonderful to remember how far Kenichi has come at this point, remembering all the hardship he went through. He was whipped by his masters and now he can imitate them. He wasn't a chosen one, he was given no special powers or abilities, he was an ordinary teenage human weakling, but he persevered anyways. He literally only had the power of friendship, he even became friends with many of his enemies. Still my favourite shounen anime series. So overlooked and underappreciated. I wish the manga was officially released in English. But at least they finally released the OVAs in English.
The author ended the manga for some strange reasons, mostly issues with the editor, that's why several plots are left without any resulation an many of the last fights are very awful if you compare them with fights like this

This was the first ever video I watched on the first smart phone I got.. Blackberry.. those were the days... obviously the video quality was bad..but the osts and voice overs were dope..
So sad the manga's quality started dropping at the end. This used to be my favourite manga and anime especially this fight. This manga combines realistic fighting, understandable exaggeration and comedy so well that nothing was similar to it when I read it. Then the last few arcs just became too rushed and all the realism disappeared
The one I found the most unrealistic was Miu's hypnotism, 'Superman' himself, the ones on par with him, and specially the reasonfor that whole war (The two old pals just got to date already) lmao
That's sadly a rather common issue with many good and/or longer manga series... they either gwt rushes at the end, get the axe for various reasons, run out of ideas or generally loose what made them great in the beginnig😬.... one of the more infamous examples with this I lnow is "shaman king "
He knows Mu Tai Boxing, Karate, Chinese Kenpo, Weapon Disarming, and Jujitsu along with knowing how to read opponents so well attacks could never harm him, mans is a menace if he was around Baki's era he can be Baki's Sparring partner and learn from that man how to throw hands like the whip strike
well if you watched the anime there is a episode where he is out with Kosaka Shigure where a group of girls goes to attack him and she intervenes. He doesnt want Shigure to attack the girls with any weapons so she pulls out a wooden rice spoon, and proceeds to destroy the girls metal weapons and destroy their clothing in a lesson that when wielded properly anything is a lethal weapon if the fighter and weapon is one.
@@018975 Nah, Kenichi was really good. The problem was the year it came out. 2006 had by far the best four anime seasons of the XXI century period. It had to go against many great series like Welcome to the NHK, Zero no Tsukaima, Busou Renkin, D-Gray Man, Nana, Aria and Pumpkin Scissors, plus unbeatable classics like Death Note, Haruhi, School Rumble, Code Geass and Higurashi. That year gave us more great anime than this whole decade. What a disgrace.
im sure the only reason why it's too underate is because it has too many fanservice and sexy scene. That's why most TV channels don't show this for kids like One Piece or Naruto.
Really sucks that the anime never went past the end of this fight. Theres still so much that never got an animated release. Personally, I would have wanted to see at least the resort arc.
This is proof that a battle hasn't to be overly fantasious, extravagant, rip off dragon ball or have exaggerated god-like powers to be a good and exciting fight, of course the anime is still very super human but if you compare it to other anime this thing is like, 100% grounded on reality

when I watched this series I so wanted the masters to just deal with those trash fighters and go on with his training xD
I will always like the moment he switches to kenpo and just aggro slides into odin like a streetfighter character
