This September will be my 20th Pat Metheny show. He is incredible in so many ways. One of which is how he keeps reinventing his sound. He’s always fresh. The quality of musicianship, choice of band mates, a complex yet listenable compositional style, and his joyful stage presence make him probably my favorite living musician.
