In my younger, pre wheelchair days, I did a lot of walking (and cycling), and watching you certainly takes me back. After 17 years of tetraplegia i’d started to forget the joy of the great outdoors. You’ve carried me back, which is very emotional… in good and sad ways! Thank you!
As a Follower, and an avid viewer of other fine Bushcraft channels, I particularly appreciate that YOU go out because you LOVE it; you go out for a long camp and a long workout. So many of my 'faves' go out to get content to pay the bills. They DO offer great content, but you also add GREAT SPIRIT!
Aw thank you so much for this lovely comment James, made my day! I agree, its disappointing seeing people doing it just for the views and money... I guess its the live in. Take care my friend and thanks for all the support :)
Thank you for sharing. Finished the WHW last year. Videos like yours have been a great motivation. Thx for sharing your adventure. Greetings from Poland.
Fantastic....enjoyed the walkalong...I'll never get to Scotland...but seeing it thru ur eyes....and all enthusiasm...bright cheery attitude....an the way you enjoy life....makes me feel I was there...you have a gift...great job...100miles..7days!🙌😜🌹🌹🌹
I hiked the WHW four or five years ago. I've just watched this series and was thrilled to relive so many memories through your wonderfully youthful and innocent eyes. Thank you for this gift.
Well Done Becky! that was great to watch, particularly as I did the West Highland Way first in between two Army tours of Bosnia way back in the late 90's, ran/walked it in 4 days back then but literally only saw the view of my feet and the path ahead of me! I was limited for time and camped much like yourself, you are a very brave, inspiring young lady and very honest with your many talks throughout the series, and yes I too had very sore feet by the later stages, probably 99% of those who walk it do! the second time was about 15 years ago, I can see a few things have changed, love the statue of Tom Weir I have seen in others videos at Balmaha. That time I made sure to enjoy every part of it and not to miss anything, I did it in the 7 days and met some truly wonderful people along the entire length, like yourself they are outdoor, likeminded, spirited people... it was a joy to watch Becky Thank You, we could all probably write a book about our times walking The Way, mine would include sat outside at the Inversnaid Hotel, Inversnaid with a group of ladies who asked me to sit with them, they each bought me a Guinness and I still had a few miles to go to my chosen spot for the night, after about 5 or 6 Guinnesses they all thanked me for sharing their table, it was a great laugh, and then cars turned up, their Husbands, to take them home to Glasgow! they were doing the whole 96 miles in weekend stages! needless to say I jogged the rest of the way that evening, startled myself and a badger who was on the path coming the other way at one point :)
Your Strength and will to carry on fills me with energy, you will never know how much you have helped not but only me but many others we thank you, Blessings from the South.
You are an inspiration and a lovely girl. Looking forward to seeing all your adventures, stay safe ,All the very best and keep it going. It’s living the dream and lots of memories to remember.xx
Well Becky, as i said 3 years late to.the party but..i loved your series so much you made me stay up till almost 2 30am to watch it all 😆 you made me laugh out loud at some of your pronunciation of the places especially Trindum instead of Tyndrum. But, respect to you and everyone else who finishes the WHW its a magnificent journey that i plan to do again next year, maybe even twice. I might go north to south one time. Isee you have been all over the place since the WHW so good on you, anywhere with animals tbat can eat me would scare the crap out of me so well done
Absolutely love this series of the west Highland Way. As I'll be doing my first solo wild camping doing this in August, I've learnt a good bit of information. Thank you.
Congratulations girl.. Every adventure makes life all the richer.. Keep smiling when the going gets tough.. Cus life and new adventures are only going to get tougher.. We'll done but watch for dodgy water sources..!! 👏👍
Becky, I want to say a massive well done to you. What you have achieved in one week is absolutely outstanding. Couple of years back I done a 17 mile sponsored walk with a knackered knee.....I was dead at the end (or at least felt it). My feet had blistered and peeled, my legs were burning and I couldn't move the next day. So you have made an amazing achievement. You're an inspiration to other people. I've loved watching this series and look forward to the sights from Ben Nevis (if its not too cloudy). 😊😊
Congratulations. You deserve a very large medal for your effort in completing the way, not least for carrying such a large load (phew). I felt for you. Hope you got to climb Ben Nevis too.
Well done on completing the West Highland Way Becky, your passion, knowledge & enthusiasm for the 'great outdoors' is an inspiration to many and I find your videos uplifting and avid viewing. I'm already looking forward to the Ben Nevis video 😊
Amazing landscape. One could believe you're the only human on the planet. Well done, you're a tough one...and always a smile on your face, thanks again for sharing
Becky you are a wonderful young lady and its a pleasure to watch you face all the obstacles along your way with such vigor, best of luck on your next adventure. Lloyd.
After watching you on this journey is brilliant me and my misses are doing this next year both our kids leave home to broaden their horizons and we are getting our lives back on track going to start adventuring again like we did when we met can't wait
Loved the series thank you. Footcare: don't let skin on feet get too thick before long hikes, condition soles with foot creams with urea 30/40%, lanolin and vaseline, good fitting hiking boots that dry quicker, thin bamboo/silk socks tap, dry feet regularly on long hike, hydrocolloid plasters with tape to treat emerging blisters. In deer country spray hiking trousers/boots with permethrin in advance of trip, bring a tick remover and examine feet/ legs for ticks every night
Thanks for sharing this trip. i finished it two weeks ago and had that same smile and great feeling you expressed in the last bit of your video. Hope you got up Ben Nevis.
Great we adventure thanks for sharing it with us, if you are trying to cut weight keep to the water filter and bottle solution as one litre of water is a kilo in weight, also for long distance hikes your choich of tent is on the heavy side. I use a trecking pole tent usually a trailstar copy or a lanshan 1, both less than a kilo, pack down small and really hold up well in bad weather. happy trails.
Becky, it was an absolute joy to watch this little series, I am new to this channel and I shall certainly remain here! I'm so glad you enjoyed the West Highland Way, I have many fond memories of it myself! It isn't the most challenging, and now you have a big question on your hands - what next? I'd recommend either the Pennine Way or Pembrokeshire Coastpath, or if you want a really wild trek, The Cape Wrath trail which continues north from Fort William. Wish you all the very best, and can't wait to see what is next! :)
Your infectious smile and genuine enthusiasm keep me coming back to these lovely videos, and above all they are inspirational , best wishes Mark, Forest of Dean
I spent 2 weeks in the highlands touring on my motorbike in September, Had stunning weather the first week and all the rain in the world on the second lol.. Stunning place, You should go more north next time, Skye is STUNNING, but so much rain I headed home 663 miles in 1 day back to Essex.. Norway for me next year :) .. Love the content :) Keep it up
That was excellent and well done, great to see familiar places that I can't get to at the moment, long time ago since I did the whole trail, thanks for sharing
Stunning weather for most picturesque section. Big daily mileage carrying heavy pack - I know what that's like - well done, Becks. They filmed lots of 'Braveheart' in Glen Nevis. I was there in 1994 & the sets were all built - the village & the fort. Wonderful series mate & I was amazed you were already planning Ben Nevis with sore feet !!
Brilliant little series. Thoroughly enjoyed watching your journey. Looking forward to doing the WHW in the future as part of a charity hike. Hope Ben Nevis was fun!!
You're not the only one to get sick along the WHW...I ended up with gastroenteritis after Rowardennan and ended up with a rescue and a hospital visit. I have watched a couple of other vlogs or had a similar issue in that area. The WHW is definitely the kind of trail you can do with trail runners vs boots for three season use. I don't get blisters :-)
you might think of sharing your trips with someone , it is so much fun later in life to have talks about your trips and having someone who was there too , pictures and videos are cool but collecting moments is better then just things , you need some boots that your feet can breath in and that should stop a lot of your feet problems , be safe , be well , enjoy life ,
Thank you. Wonderful memory's flooding back. Keep on stomping., Best thing for the mind, body and soul. Try the walk from Glen Nevis to Corroar if your still in the area, and if you ever fancy the Isle of Sky the five sisters of Kintail are a good warm up for the Cuillins. ;-)
Excellent achievement that. I’ve really enjoyed watching the series. Myself and Dave Outdoors and few more of the Shropshire Mafia are tackling this next year if Covid will let us👍🏻👍🏻.
Wel done🎉 i have enjoy your vid, revieuws for me and the BenNevis as finish👍we went over the top and go down via the mountain rescue hut to the whiskey dist. Loking forrward to see your next tour, thanks
Well done Becky.!!🥳 Lovely little series of videos. Hope your feet are fully recovered now ready for your next big walkaroo. Take care and stay super safe🙂
Lovely to see the area you've been walking through. I lived in Kinlochleven for a couple of years and I think you camped in the best place for your last night that you could have. I love that glen through the Mamores. Well done, I look forward to your Glen Etive trip.
Well done, amazing achievement. Really enjoyed the series. I remember that last stretch into Fort William it seemed to drag forever. Glad you made it and you looked so fresh at the end unlike me! Take care
WOW well firstly I just spent so long watching all these back to back and have now totally messed my plans up today haha I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and like that you don’t seem to be doing this to clickbait people and get as revenue as a lot of the outdoors channels do. You really seem to just do it for the love of being outside. Well done on completing it. Look forward to the next one. Take care 🤝 🏴
So jealous Becky haha. This will keep me going until I do the west highland way myself. Looking forward to see what other adventures you got up to whist there 👍

This is freedom. This is everything that the modern world isn't.
