Hi Becky! I've been a subscriber for a while now and have watched you and your dad from here in the US. What a beautiful hike and trip you are on! Extraordinary traveling & hiking journey! Enjoy yourself and I'll keep watching.
I did Ben Nevis a couple of years ago in Nov and it was thick of snow and 70mph winds.... What a brilliant climb and well worth doing even in horrendous weather....
@@GirlOutdoors We have a brilliant video on facebook of the top where it was -8c and 70mph winds.... You could not see more than 10m and most people did not make it.... I damaged my hip-flexor at the bottom by the visitor centre and i still made it to the top, but we didn't get the stunning views like you did.... amazing.... Loving the channel and keep up the great work Becky.....
Nice video thanks Miss Becky - east anglian accent possibly ? I'm from Ipswich originally and the furthest i get to walk nowadays is with Twiglet my Jack Russell to the allotments and back. The leeks did'nt do so well this year.Like your tent by the way and you went well prepared which is always a good idea !
Beautiful countryside. Have not dropped by your channel in a while you have really grown up. Your dad's probably right proud! I hope my young daughters take on like you did!
The highest point here in Denmark is Ejer BavneHøj, and every time I'm up there I get quite dizzy. haha it's 173 meters high, it's not very much to compare with.
Wow, I can't imagine that! I live in Palmer, Alaska, and the tallest mountain here in the state is Denali at 6k meters! Also, there are dozens of mountains with elevations over 1k meters within a a few miles of where I live.
@@mibi2999 your so lucky to have that on your doorstep mate, I'm hoping to travel to Alaska and climb Denali but il need a lot more climbing experience before that ahah
Beautifully edited video. Great music track. Congratulations on your magnificent achievement...West Highland Way AND Ben Nevis. Rest. Regroup. Remember.
You are one super extra fantastic young lady. Your photography is outstanding. Your endurance is amazing. Looking forward to all your future adventure videos. Wishing you a super extra wonderful day.
Miss Becky you outdone yourself this time. The beautiful views, the historical comments and seeing your pretty face made the scenery magnificent...can't wait for more... ❤ from Texas.
Hi Becky. Looks like you were pretty knackered at the end there, don't blame you. This is all inspiring me to get out there next year, perhaps in the less busy months. I think that's an Osprey backpack you have, if it is, i don't know if you know, but they now sell the day lids for the UK/Euro packs, like the ones that come custom with the U.S version? They're perfect for when you have a basecamp as you just take the lid off your back pack and it turns into a lightweight smaller backpack for day trips away from basecamp. I recently purchased one and it's a lifesaver. Fits everything you need for the day without having to take your whole backpack with not so much stuff in it. Anyway, thought I'd let you know. I look forward to more videos soon. :-)
i couldn't resist! at 7:11 i muted your audio opened another tab and played one of my favourite tracks whilst i watched your amazing scenery shots, i played Boards of Canada - Cold earth :D amazing video Becky you are an inspiration xx
I have only ever climbed it the steep side,I didn't even know there was this official route. so if you leave glen nevis campsite and turn right, it's near-instant incline, tough but fun all the same ha ha. Take care!
CLIMBING BEN NEVIS: a 'bucket list' climb! Glad you took it on while you are at your physical peak. What an accomplishment to add to those others you have packed into your life!
Becky, may I recommend the injinji sock liners and the darn tough socks to prevent your blister issue. As for your hike I’m totally impressed. Loved your video adventure. Your summit was a great icing on the cake. Can’t wait till your next adventure on trail.
Great vid which brought back some lovely memories for me as we stayed at Glen nevis campsite for 2 weeks back in 2017 and actually climbed Ben Nevis on my 50th birthday 😁 you had a great day weather wise aswell 😁😁
Nice one and well done have climbed it twice in my lifetime not sure there will be a third the legs are not what they used to be the first time was in a September and we shared it with a large number of runners I think there is an annual race to the top and back down again.
I climbed it decades ago. Unfortunately it was misty. Saw nothing and nearly missed the zig-zags on the way down. On a clear day I think the view from above the Nevis Range ski-area is better
Glad you did Ben Nevis, looks like you had a great day for it. Fair play doing this after the west highland way, with sore feet :-). One day i'll go back and redo this childhood walk
Well done for completing the climb. We did it mid September and I loved it! You are right though, the decent is the hard part....my knees told me so for 3 days afterwards!! Keep safe.....
I watched one of your videos a couple days ago, and UA-cam won't stop putting your vids in my recommended feed now. So, I guess I'll call it an omen and subscribe. Cheers.
I love your passion for this it's so appealing, dropping the sounds of bagpipes gave a mystic feel. You're doing grand much love from bonnie Scotland 🙏
Thanks for the visit here becky. I see we're me and my wife got engaged on top of big Ben. We done what you did completed the west Highland way and climbed Ben nevis at the end. We done it about 19 years ago in July summertime, had all seasons in one day and freezing at the top in summer. Loved it though. Loved walking down the pipes was that Kinlochleven??. Currently in Scotland. But my home is cumbria, Lake District. How lucky am l.
Well done 👏🏻 I did Ben Laywers a few weeks ago, Big Ben next spring. I know someone who did the west highland way in 5 days, not a hiker but a biker, he said he was knackered, harder than he thought.
Hiya, ive just recently subscribed to your channel - its great to see your passion and commitment to the outdoors...I keep dipping in and out of your vids in no particular order and they're helping me stay sane and motivated in lockdown, even though my wife keeps laughing at my plaster covered, cut, sliced and burnt fingers from my bushcraft projects. If / when you get a chance, you could hike up Ben Nevis via the CMB Arete route round the back of the mountain - its quite spectacular and 100% nicer than the (already very nice) tourist route....I'm sure you'd really like it - and it gives views that most people never see. If you enjoy the Snowdon Crib Goch route, the CMD is that on steroids (but very doable). Thanks very much for entertaining us.
To think that people lived on that observatory on the summit for months on end ! Well done mate considering your feet were still in a state. You'll remember this Scottish trip for the rest of your life xx
Well done Becky great achievement, I did Nevis September last year, picked the worse day as it was the mountain run challenge so the crowds were mental.staf safe
What a plucky young woman you are. I've just subscribed to your channel having stumbled across it this morning. I've been hiking and climbing for many years, home and abroad but still not done The Ben. I'm now 76 but hope to do the ledge route as soon as this Covid pandemic allows me safer travel. Love your enthusiasm. Keep safe.

I want to hike the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way together. After the virus allows us all to travel safely. It was cloudy/ rainy when I was at the summit of Ben Nevis, but still beautiful. Greetings from Black Forest and stay safe and healthy
A beautiful girl in beautiful landscape. But also a helpful video for anyone thinking of climbing Nevis. Even an old bugger like me might have a go one day.
Wonderful vid of your mega climb Becky! Loved it, such a gorgeous day for you too! Well that's it! Been following your walk on the West Highland Way and looking forward even more to your climb up Ben Nevis. Reason being I did that climb when I was just 14 years old in 1962 with the scouts.
I'd need 183 out of 282 munro charms on my back pack, with one for Snowdon attached too...quite a weight to carry and for me unnecessary. I would have burst and cut the loose skin off of my feet; see Le Marathon du Sable. I met up with two Frenchmen in Mauritania who had not long finished it and they told me the medics each evening cut the blisters from the racers feet. Quite a sight to see in video! As I have said before, I use Wellington's in the winter and sandals in the summer. To date; as a nurse, I have saved a small fortune in walking boots. Well done Rebecca. Safe journey home.
