- Rumors that Xbox is bringing Forza Motorsport and Halo to PS5 have gotten out of hand. At the Xbox News Today has been very light, some Discord posts from Jez Corden surfaced where he was discussing how he thought Xbox exclusives would go to PS5 in the future. However, many began reporting this as news without reaching out and Jez was quick to clarify that this was merely a conversation among friends.

It's simple. Anytime there is positive Xbox news these articles come out within 24 hours that try to take the positive news away from Xbox. It's like clockwork and quite exhausting at this point.

It is. One of the most annoying behaviors is what I call; sheep behavior. So if one idi0t claims something, without thinking it through, people liking it and some of those special ones, repost it or put a own version out, and this goes on and on. It's mindboggling to me, that people like Red Dragon, Unleashed or any of those special people, do this day in, day out. me and others can call them out what we want ..although it never ever stops. I think seriously that some of them are stupid, while others lie on purpose because they make money on X for getting as much likes and attention as possible. (Let's ignore that starfield was like the only new IP game to break top 10 most played year and was the most played RPG; let's also ignore how absolutely insane that new land map is, like I can't think of a game with a better one).
Xbox Showcase > Xbox NEEDS to go big or the brand is dead or Sony set to still Xbox's thunder with better showcase
(This is literally the one year Xbox doesn't need the showcase, because there are so many hype games already announced for coming this year (age of mythology, flight sim 2024, Avowed, Indiana Jones); meanwhile Playstation doesn't have a single first party exclusive announced for the rest of this year and no one cares).
Like for God's sake I just wish these news outlets would come out and say "we don't want Xbox to succeed ever" or "We actually love xbox for all the click bait and clout chasing it gives us" because this is getting pathetic. I don't know how any of these websites can call themselves journalists with how openly biased and tumor heavy they are. Even sites like Forbes when it comes to Xbox almost exclusively report Opinions or Rumors and run them as facts. When they aren't they're literally just copy pasting some Xbox Wire post or official interview. Like is this what news is now? Reposting content as your own and just making shit up for the clicks?

This is odd, everyone knew once the flood gates were open. Everything now holds weight, this mess is the making of Xbox's own incompetence. Going 3rd party maybe giving loads of money for the small price of reputations. Personally believe xbox going 3rd party was way too soon, as they lacked any value to begin with due to xbox one era. Every time, and I mean EVERY time Xbox has some good news or some excitement heating up, the anti-xbox propaganda machine goes into overdrive to pour cold water on it.
Not entirely accurate. There is a spinoff game for the Halo franchise that will make it's way to all platforms. However, this isn't specifically something most would be interested in, but it certainly changes the concept a bit. In the same breath, I'm also aware of another series, a PS one, that will have a spinoff headed to other platforms next year.
The upcoming rest of this generation, and the generation after, expect there to be a lot more multi-platform development happening from all parties, with Nintendo being the only one I'm unaware of.
If these rumors are true, its over for xbox. No reason to own one, and ms are clowns to throw the console away like this with the potential that they have to upset Sony and claw back some favour with mainstream gamers.

Xbox only put 30% of their catalog of games from all the years from the original Xbox to the current gen Xbox and only 30% is available for PC players to buy in the steam store in the epic game store and so on and so forth PlayStation Fanboys are literally fooling themselves if they think the entire catalog is going to PlayStation 5 when Xbox is going to advertise going to Xbox game pass in order to play the entire catalog outside of the console. Because when I hear Sony Fanboys like MBG and reforged gaming spouting false information about the entire catalog I literally rolled my eyes because let's just be honest I'm a PC player and if PC gamers are still having a hard time trying to access those games without pirating there's a chance that Sony would receive the same treatment only getting 30% of a catalog even if they did maybe they'll even only get less who knows because they're still a rival console.

At this point Xbox might as well just do it... too nuch damage has been done to the brand. Console not selling well, GP shrinking, over spending on acquisitions. No new games can afford to be locked to just Xbox and GP.
Console is selling, gp is growing, they definitely didn’t over spend for all that money coming in, 10 new games dropping this year at least 6 will be Xbox/pc only.
Hi@@TheBean87 @TheBean87 yes, console is selling poorly and took a 30% dive compared to last year, GP has been on this number for years, even after MS forced bundled their lower tier Xbox Live Gold as GP Core to inflate the numbers.
Its numbers suggest it's not doing very well on PC, since it seems to be a number you would get from Xbox One and Series combined more than anything.
I'll give you that the purchase of ABK if handled well is going to bring in a lot of money, but as long as that money is coming mostly from nom Xbox platforms, MS would be justified to have their games on other consoles.

Rise of Ronin sold 2.5 million at launch. and its not even a flagship franchise. yet it still sold almost as much as Halo. which is supposed to be Microsoft's biggest franchise.

Just because Xbox does not announce something does not mean it is not true. Think what would MS do regarding everything that has happened with Xbox. Not what xbots would like to happen. People are making those predictions and they seem pretty valid to me. My question to you is why are you defending the denial so vigorously when it could go either way, and what will you do if the predictions and rumours turn out to be true. It could go either way, so taking a hard stance either way could end up with egg on your face.

Every bit of "confusion," including the ease of mere rumors stirring up drama on the streets of the internet due to them being easily believable is the fault of Xbox's own leadership. Not just Spencer, either. The entire leadership team.
Them being unable or unwilling to both establish *and backup* a definitive stance on - anything, really - makes situations that cause bad publicity like this extremely easy to manufacture.

It wasn't a rumor. It was an opinion. Jez needs to keep his trap shut with these opinions mainly because he is also a so-called insider and that is why people take what he says as fact or at least a rumor. But it is good to see all those games Xbox apparently doesn't have (i.e Xbox has no games) are so wanted by the very people (PS fanboys) that tell us Xbox has no games.
