Madonna's ballads are all masterpieces. Most people know her for her 'pop' music, but true fans know her ballads are where it's at 👌 Love your videos 😊
I love her dance music, but her ballads are next level. Listen to Rain, The Power of Goodbye, Live to Tell and those are just the tip of the iceberg. She has so many hits.
Came here to say pretty much this. While her biggest hits were pop powerhouses, her ballads was where her talent shined most. Live to Tell is her high water mark IMO and absolutely the peak of her work.
Stunning!!! “You’ll See” is the follow up song to this and it’s even more stunning. Babyface on backup vocals here. Also helped produce/write. Back in the day he was the man lol.👌🏼👌🏼
Her videos are always top tier, as most everything about her is really. Madonna's an incredible entertainer. I remember her debut so well, I was 22 yo (it was a long time ago lol) and my generation was ready for her. She came out a superstar and just kept slamming hit after hit. I'd like to see her age gracefully and stomp her boot down on pop culture with something brand new. I know it gets harder but she is capable of it and I'd never be surprised.
Madonna is the complete artist. The video to this was also epic. Like a movie like art! Her ballads are always on point. Babyface did a brilliant production on this. What a combo! Loved the reaction Jay!
"This Used To Be My Playground" from the film "A League Of Their Own" (which also stars Madonna along with Tom Hanks and Geena Davis) is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and fits the movie so well. The song plays at the end credits. One of Madonna's purest and overall best songs that is not as memorable as her other songs but is definitely worth a listen.
Great reaction! Madonna's ballads are the best. You must react on You'll see, I'll remember, Oh Father, This used to be my playground... Madonna is genius!
He was the best engineer of her voice, and his paired so perfectly with hers. I always wished she would have hired him to produce another album for her.
Ray of light should be next, because once again it's a totally different sound, so glad you did this one though cause it's amazing, one of my favorites THX...♡
Her versatility is unmatched!! She has powerhouse dance hits, but she also has ballads hits too!! She writes, compose and produces them. In fact, she has a compilation of all these low-tempo/ballads hits, which has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide!
This was written and produced with Babyface who is also singing the background vocals. One of my favorite Madonna songs and one of my suggestions. Thanks for the reaction Jovaughn!!😍😍😍
The song is like a sensual lullaby....sleepy, yet sensual and wistful. Such a beautiful melody and one of my favourites from Madonna. You should listen to 'Rain'. I think you'd love that one Jay
the background vocals were done by Babyface Edmonds. who also wrote and and produced the song. He also wrote and produced the biggest R&B acts of the early 90s with his distinct production, of course one of the biggest was Boyz II Men. He did a great job creating this song with Madonna. This song was #1 for 9 weeks in 1995, marking a huge comeback after the backlash from the erotica era. great reaction
Always loved this song.. If u like this w/ the harmony, u might like "This use to be my playground" (from the League of their own movie)...video on UA-cam, that's another great one ppl forgot about 😄
Absolutely love 'Take a Bow'. So strange that it was 7 weeks at #1 in America but would become one of her first singles to miss the UK Top 10, peaking at #16 in December 1994. My other 2 faves from Madonna are 'Live to Tell' and 'Bad Girl' (A fab video featuring Christopher Walken). Definitely worth checking out. 😉
I always think I've heard this song too many times, but when it starts playing...I have to listen to it. Her vocal performance, that hesitancy and delicate delivery. The production of this entire thing...Babyface. On his game. One of the most nostalgic '90s songs for me.
She must be the most diverse female artist and she mastered every genre. Love this calming soulful r&b ballad. This album called Bedtime Stories was amazing. I recommand you check out Secret, which was the first single, beautiful and a supernice video as well. She was doing the r&b thing so good at the time. Love her vocals.
This is a Madonna ballade at its best. Top notch - also in terms of the video production. In the early 90ies, the record labels still had money for good cinematography…
The unofficial audition for Evita. When that woman wants something she takes it. Took singing lessons to strengthen her voice for the role, this showed it off to perfection. It worked. LoL
I always liked this song. She's got some pretty nice ballads. They tend to be a little melancholy. Listen to Madonna's "bedtime stories". She collaborated with Bjork for that song. Great video too.
I listen to it all the time at the moment. Timeless piece of art, so relaxing. Love Tried To Welcome Me, Sanctuary, Bedtime Story= eargasm. I drove home from the gym being totally tired today and it put me in such a nice relaxed mood.
Babyface & L.A. Reid production fits naturally with her style. The signature Babyface chord progression compliments Madonna's range, much like a beautiful tango dance.
I LOVE this song and video! The bullfighter is a real bullfighter, it was filmed in Spain, produced by legendary Babyface (please go down a hole with his collection of works!), it helped her get the lead role in Evita, and has only been performed live twice.
Bravo! I first heard this song yrs ago and I was totally memorized by the tune! Heard it 25 yrs later and it still keeps me memorized by its haunting melody.
I think I read somewhere that this song was about actor Warren Beatty, who Madonna had a fling with in the early 1990s. The music video changed the subject from an actor to a bullfighter because Madonna thought that an actor wouldn't be tragic enough for a love song- video to be about.
Madonna has so many great songs, but her ballads are killer! The way she sings them...you can feel the emotions. One of my favorites is called Promise To Try from her Like A Prayer album. She wrote it for her mother who passed away from cancer when she was a child. It always reminds me of my grandmother. You have to listen to it! Also Rain, Power of Goodbye, Oh Father, Something To Remember, Love Don't Live Here Anymore, In This Life, so many more!
That low register singing reminds one of Karen Carpenter who Madonna has said was one of her early influences. At the time this was her best selling record.
i remember listening to this on the radio, then watching friends and they used this song and fallen in love again. now after so long, watching this and yes again i've fallen in love. editing my spotify playlist now. thank you for this.
Madonna's ballads are all masterpieces. Most people know her for her 'pop' music, but true fans know her ballads are where it's at 👌 Love your videos 😊
Baby face wrote and ns composed this song. 🙂
Yes, I love her ballad a lot.
All my favorite Madonna songs are ballads, live to tell, crazy for you
Yes! 💯 We need another collection like Something To Remember.
exactly!! And overall she has sooo many ballads
I love her dance music, but her ballads are next level. Listen to Rain, The Power of Goodbye, Live to Tell and those are just the tip of the iceberg. She has so many hits.
Rain is exceptional.
Came here to say pretty much this. While her biggest hits were pop powerhouses, her ballads was where her talent shined most. Live to Tell is her high water mark IMO and absolutely the peak of her work.
Live To Tell has already been done. Search for it.
Rain is my absolute favorite
RAIN!!!!! YESSSssSsS
This song was done with artist, Babyface. He has a smooth, warm voice that perfectly matched hers! You have to listen to some of his songs as well!
He’s talented and so handsome, just smooth
Helped found LaFace records with LA Reed. The amount of talent both of them worked with is a who’s who.
Didn’t know that was baby face!
The was supposed to have another album with him but it became Ray Of Light instead
@@HusaMusesOnhe wrote and produced the song also.
Cherish from Madonna is a great fun song
Yep, Cherish is one of my all time favourite songs!!
But then again, I have A LOT of all time favourite songs!!!
Stunning!!! “You’ll See” is the follow up song to this and it’s even more stunning. Babyface on backup vocals here. Also helped produce/write. Back in the day he was the man lol.👌🏼👌🏼
I was going to mention "You'll See" being the follow up, but you beat me to it.
Babyface is still the man! Have you heard his new song with Jam & Lewis? He killed it!
I agree. To me her best ballads were Take a Bow Crazy For You and You’ll see. However I rarely hear You’ll See mentioned or played on the radio.
Babyface blessed her with this song. They sound amazing together.
Isn’t it great how Madonna is a completely a new artist at every song of hers? I think she is the most versatile female singer ever!
I’d go with performer over singer.
@@matthewdrake4385 I was literally going to say that 🙂
The strings at the end makes my eyes fill EVERY TIME
Her videos are always top tier, as most everything about her is really.
One of her absolute best songs and imo her best ballad. Such great production from Babyface too, so lush.
Why didn't I know it was babyface!!!!! I've always rated the production of this❤
Yay, a Babyface ballad. He is genius for his ballad productions.
Some of the best backup vocals I've ever heard!
Another AWESOME song from her was a song she did for her husband at the time, Shawn Penn's movie called "live to tell"...one of my favorites!!
Sean Penn
I think he mightve watched that one
Already did that
Live to tell is my all time favourite songs of Madonna
@@JohnJohnson-tw8qk I love that one to showed depth and venerability
You said the truth when you said that you could feel Madonna’s emotions in this song.
A beautiful song. Used to play this song to my son, James, as a baby, It was so soothing. He is now 25 years old!!
I love it! Thanks for sharing
Madonna always great !!!
This song breaks me. And Babyface doing the background vocals!
Live to tell is another great song show off her voice
One of my fav Madonna tracks
Other great ballads from Madonna: "This used to be my playground" and "You'll see"
And also DEFINITELY Oh Father.
That song is FREAKING AMAZING!!!
And so damn emotional!!!
Bad Girl is my all time favorite. And the video is genius.
This is one of my favorite songs. So beautiful and meaningful. Best of Madonna. The video is phenomenal too.
Simply BEAUTIFUL.🌸
Madonna is a Jill of all trades. She can do it all. That’s the reason she remains as Pop’s reigning Queen. Her legacy transcends generations. 👑
Madonna is the complete artist. The video to this was also epic. Like a movie like art! Her ballads are always on point. Babyface did a brilliant production on this. What a combo! Loved the reaction Jay!
Take a bow has always been my favorite Madonna song!
The video "You'll See" is the second part two to this love/breakup story. It's another great one! THX!
This was one of the first songs/hits where I heard MADONNA actually SING... & liked it.
The next song from Madonna should be "The Power of Goodbye" it's goes with the theme of Take a Bow.
Yes ! Power of goodbye
Yes! One of my favorite Madonna songs.
my favorite ballad from Madonna !
I went through a breakup when I heard this song and OMG I cried my eyes out while listening to it...
@@MarvelMex It's also (I think,) a song about getting out of an abusive relationship where you love, but the other person doesn't return the love.
One of my favourite ballads from her. Beautiful ☺️ but also sad 😔 Rain is also another great ballad from Madonna too.
Something to Remember is Madonna’s best album by far
"This Used To Be My Playground" from the film "A League Of Their Own" (which also stars Madonna along with Tom Hanks and Geena Davis) is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and fits the movie so well. The song plays at the end credits. One of Madonna's purest and overall best songs that is not as memorable as her other songs but is definitely worth a listen.
My childhood favorite!!!
That's Babyface Edmonds (one of the biggest producers ever) singing backup for her.... They wrote this together.
A quarter of a century old, but still of timeless quality! You know a song is perfect, when it is as good or even better more than 25 years later.
Great reaction! Madonna's ballads are the best. You must react on You'll see, I'll remember, Oh Father, This used to be my playground... Madonna is genius!
Babyface, who sang the backing vocals, had some hits himself.
He was the best engineer of her voice, and his paired so perfectly with hers. I always wished she would have hired him to produce another album for her.
He had many hits solo and with group 'after 7' not to mention the hits he wrote for Boyz II Men over the years.
He wrote this, too.
Im mad I never heard this song before! The instrumental, the harmonies 💖💖💖💖💖 love it all!
This will always be one of her best .. 💕
Madonna - Beautiful Stranger
Ray of light should be next, because once again it's a totally different sound, so glad you did this one though cause it's amazing, one of my favorites THX...♡
Madonna is an Icon.
This is one of my favorite song of hers! Great pick!
I ❤Madonna 💯
The album bedtime stories is in my opinion a very underated album, I think it's a classic.
It's my favorite, her most R&B album and all four singles were amazing with stunning videos as well.
In my opinion Jay, her best song ever, produced by Babyface, I believe.
Correct!
Yeap her best !!
And background vocals by Babyface
And written by and background vocals a true classic 90’s ballad
produce and wrote by babyface AND MADONNA
It's one of my favourite Madonna songs. Definetely in top 3 together with "Like a prayer" and "Rain". Her soft side in ballads is amazing
OMG!!! I love this song!!! Great reaction❤💜
Written and produced by Madonna also
Thanks guys. The comment has been corrected.
Oh Father is one of my favorites from Madonna. So powerfully intimate and the video is beautifully shot.
SAME HERE!
SUCH A SAD AND EMOTIONAL SONG!!!
The song is like a sensual lullaby....sleepy, yet sensual and wistful. Such a beautiful melody and one of my favourites from Madonna.
You should listen to 'Rain'. I think you'd love that one Jay

Her love songs are just beautiful. Love them all. She works with amazing producers. Babyface did this one. He even does back vocals.
Babyface is a Genius. This pairing is dynamic.

Yesss, we must request Bad Girl! So underrated! and one of the best music videos ever.
Favorite Madonna song and video
I always think I've heard this song too many times, but when it starts playing...I have to listen to it. Her vocal performance, that hesitancy and delicate delivery. The production of this entire thing...Babyface. On his game. One of the most nostalgic '90s songs for me.
The video is so lush and cinematic on this one, it's absolutely perfect, the music and the vid together.
Madonna... she keeps evolving..its mad how talented she is... 😍
You should check out Madonna “Secret” and “Human Nature” from the Bedtime Stories album. That is the album “Take A Bow” was on. ♥️
This is up there with my favourite songs by Madonna, along with True Blue, Oh Father and This Used to Be My Playground
All her ballads are 🔥🔥🔥
She must be the most diverse female artist and she mastered every genre. Love this calming soulful r&b ballad. This album called Bedtime Stories was amazing. I recommand you check out Secret, which was the first single, beautiful and a supernice video as well. She was doing the r&b thing so good at the time. Love her vocals.
Her ballads are so underrated
Take a Bow
You’ll See
Rain
This Used to Be My Playground
One More Chance
Masterpiece
Check them out! 💗💗
1985’s ‘Crazy for you’ isn’t so underrated, but can easily fit on that list.
Please react to Madonna's OPEN YOUR HEART, RAY OF LIGHT, DON'T TELL ME
This is my favorite Madonna song. Especially since it features Babyface.... which is another artist you need to react to!
I’ve never been a big Madonna fan but man, she’s beautiful here!! 😍
I love this song Madonna their is no other she’s in a lane by herself 😍
This is a Madonna ballade at its best. Top notch - also in terms of the video production. In the early 90ies, the record labels still had money for good cinematography…
The unofficial audition for Evita. When that woman wants something she takes it. Took singing lessons to strengthen her voice for the role, this showed it off to perfection. It worked. LoL

Listen to Madonna's "bedtime stories". She collaborated with Bjork for that song. Great video too.
Possibly her best ballad for me. Gorgeous tune with beautiful harmonies. Every time I hear it I sing along.😁📀👍🎶❤️
Probably my favorite song of hers & Babyface had so many beautiful songs he wrote in that era the wonderful 90s ❤️
I LOVE this songs. One of Madonnas best. The video is so sad.
one of her biggest hits in the u.s., a perfect ballad.
This whole cd, Bedtime Stories, is one of her best in my opinion.
I listen to it all the time at the moment. Timeless piece of art, so relaxing. Love Tried To Welcome Me, Sanctuary, Bedtime Story= eargasm. I drove home from the gym being totally tired today and it put me in such a nice relaxed mood.
Not much of a Madonna fan but I do like this song very much. One of her best in my opinion. It is beautiful.
Songs to really hit you in the feels are Oh Father and This used to be my playground.
Madonna and Babyface what a gorgeous song .They did that.
My favorite Madonna song. Babyface a 🐐
I always tear up to this 😢
Bravo! I first heard this song yrs ago and I was totally memorized by the tune! Heard it 25 yrs later and it still keeps me memorized by its haunting melody.
Part two is "you'll see". It continues the story in the video
I think I read somewhere that this song was about actor Warren Beatty, who Madonna had a fling with in the early 1990s. The music video changed the subject from an actor to a bullfighter because Madonna thought that an actor wouldn't be tragic enough for a love song- video to be about.
So many memories 🤎🤎✌🏾✌🏾
I love this song by her it is so mellow and her vocals here are just very swayed. I like the lyrics too!
So beautiful. Love this song! Yes sir! Another Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds Production. He’s singing background. 🥰
Another one by her that I think is completely underrated and looked over is "La Isla Bonita"
He's already done that song.
Madonna has so many great songs, but her ballads are killer! The way she sings them...you can feel the emotions. One of my favorites is called Promise To Try from her Like A Prayer album. Also Rain, Power of Goodbye, Oh Father, Something To Remember, Love Don't Live Here Anymore, In This Life, so many more!
Take A Bow spent 7 weeks at #1 in the US in 1995.
The video for her song "You'll See" is a part 2 for this one. Love your reactions!
Great song.
I would like to recommend Right Here Right Now" by Jesus Jones. And Toad and the Wet Sprocket, "All I Want".
Great recommendations!!
That low register singing reminds one of Karen Carpenter who Madonna has said was one of her early influences. At the time this was her best selling record.
This is my all-time favorite Madonna song.. I can listen to it daily
Been waiting for this one.
i remember listening to this on the radio, then watching friends and they used this song and fallen in love again. now after so long, watching this and yes again i've fallen in love. editing my spotify playlist now. thank you for this.
