Jenny, your tutorials are always enjoyable. It is wonderful to see how casually you sew and still get such accuracy. You would laugh at how carefully I pin my binding and the pains I go through to join the final binding ends - rulers, pencils, double checks, and relief when one of the pieces aren't reversed. Almost fell out of my chair when you eyeballed, cut off the end and zipped the two pieces together!

What a pretty binding technique! But even more awesome than that is the simple tip you gave about how to fold over binding at the corners to avoid the dreaded 'bump.' I just bound a quilt over the weekend using that tip, and not only did it turn out beautifully, I didn't have to wrestle with the corners (and often lose). So simple but so genius. A million thanks, Jenny!

Wonderful! I had a forehead slapping moment when Jenny showed the first corner and how she folds the upcoming edge under the one she is sewing so she doesn't have to bump up onto the corner piece. Brilliant! I might actually learn to like sewing on bindings. :) ~ Christina in FL

What an awesome method. I want to use this on all of my quilts. I have sewn my bindings from the back to front for years and always struggled with trying to keep my stitching uniform and straight to have an appealing look and you have given me the perfect way to finish for a really beautiful look. I see lots of ways to use it for an appealing design feature as well. Thanks so much Jenny.

This is the most game changing technique I have ever learned in quilting!! Thank you so very much!!! I will use this on every quilt I make going forward!!! I have always done binding on my machine, but never with the flange and never with these beautiful results!! One tip I find helpful is that I use my walking foot when I sew on my binding. I find it helps feed everything through evenly. I also run the edge of the quilt through my serger before attaching the binding to stabilize the edge and trim off excess fabric and batting! Great tutorial!! Easy to follow and clear instructions!!

Beautiful and beautifully done. Love that little hint when you get to the corners, it does make it sew much smoother over the little hump. Your casual attitude is wonderful ... shows you love what you are doing and that perfection can be reached without lots of stress. Please keep your tutorials coming and the old ones still posted ... this one is a little over 4 years old, but the methods and tips still work. :)

I always hated binding because it always ended up looking messy in the back! I could never get it to lay just so in order to stitch in the ditch on the front nd have it catch the binding in the back just right! UGH!! I almost always I had to go back and do repairs afterward. This was FABULOUS! I got the tutorial on Friday morning (my day off) just in time to bind a quilt I was finishing that day! It takes longer to make the binding with the flange, but it was so much easier to finish this way and it looks fabulous! THANK YOU JENNY!

I absolutely love your tutorials! This makes something that I dreaded so easy, and then it's on to the next quilt! Thank you so very much for all that you have done and do for the quilters/sewers today. You could be like many others and charge for all of your tutorials, but we are glad you don't. I am a late nighter and I always check your daily specials (according to my husband, too much)!

Jenny, I'm relatively new to quilting even tho I've been sewing for years. I would like to tell you I have watched a lot of videos and I can't even begin to tell you that you are by far the best teaching instructor out there. You are precise and you can really tell the dedication and love for what you do. Hope to meet you someday because your inspiration and moved me a lot. I always look forward to the next tutorial.

Great flange tute, (as always) Jenny. I have a baby quilt that is saying, "hey, that's for me" With a thin gray piece between the color binding and the quilt this should be a good finish.
