Retrieving the treasures | The body of a chariot is transported into the work room

Howard Carter (left), Egyptian workers, and a military escort accompany the transportation of the body of a chariot (Carter no. 122) to the laboratory for conservation. The laboratory was set up in the tomb of Seti II (KV 15). The magnificent chariot with leather-covered tires and bent timbers was richly decorated with gold and inlays of glass and semi-precious stones.
