Many thanks derek for showing me the tpi at the test centre and letting me use it. I think it’s a fantastic analyser gives you all the information that you need and tpi have said you can do a sweep test as for the price I think it’s a really good priced
This is a great affordable analyser, it is strong and robust, (depends on how you treat and look after your kit) user friendly, most engineers carry a tablet, ipad etc (had to laugh when you thought there would be a magnet on the printer!!!! Who would want that anyway??🤣 this is a great bit of kit that wont let you down!
Hi , I’m Currently training to be a gas engineer, I just want to ask what happened in situations where I cannot use the gas analyser because can’t get into the test point on the flue ?? For example in situations where is blocked with wood frame or tight space !! It will be ID or AR situation? Thanks
You can take the readings from outside and if you can’t do that then you can do other tests to prove the boiler is working ok and notify the responsible person that you couldn’t take the readings.
@@tomkatgastraining Yes I meant in both situation also from outside. So is not AR then ?? I need only notify the customer ? Thanks for you prompt reply and advise . I appreciate
@@tomkatgastraining , I just was concern because not able to get reading and I thought could be AR . Still lots to learn 🤦♂️. Only 2 weeks into my course . Thanks for your answer and videos .
Hi . I have another question, I can see that lots boilers are different to put a service mode what happened if you can’t figure out how to put the boiler in service mode , because don’t have the manufacturer instructions available?? How you deal with those situations? Run the boiler in hot water for 5 minutes” if is a combi “?? Thanks
Cheap! That has to be one of the fastest printers ever. Can I borrow it to print off my portfolio? 😂. I think I’d prefer one unit too which can do everything. I would defo prefer a screen because otherwise I’m having to carry my brick phone, tablet and analyser 🤨 Nice video. Honest review Thanks Derek 👍🏻 Asian Jon. Training.
It would be grate if you could incorporate the analysis report into a CP12. Without manually having to input the data. It would also be great if the leading manufctures printers could printout an adhesive label to stick onto the servicing section for boiler warranties. In which would have your name and a analysis results. Operating pressure and or heat input. It'd save time and make things a little easier. You'd think they'd be able to make the tpi 710 less bulky, meh🤷♂️. Thanks for sharing 😊
ghostmanromeo uk. I'm happy to announce that the DC710 now integrates with Expert Trades and you can now incorporate the analysis readings straight into the CP12 without the need to enter them manually.
what I have done when I upgraded my phone I kept the old phone for the analyser, buy you can also buy very cheap smartphones for as little as £30 that will run the app and still makes it cheaper than others. And find you can use the manometer on the meter while doing working pressure as well as doing analyser never used the kane as manometer all the time I had one always had a separate digital one.(as well as water gauge for all the hardcore water fans) also to add you don't have to worry about the screens getting water damaged on broken on the analyser like others because they can get expensive to replace.
Derek bluelyser, testo have smart probes as well. Great for working pressure. Also at the other end of the spectrum of analysers you have a testo 330i at 1400 pounds. Its the future as they pull in readings into gas certificate sortware. For example tpi have just done a deal with expert trades app for the dc710 to pull reading straight into the certificate. Only downfall i see if your smart phone or tablet is low on charge. Most guys carry tablets with them in their veto hand bags. Days of cantilever toolbox or screen maybe over. But do check out the testo 300 now that is some kit. Basically analyser with inbuilt screen that can search internet and download user manuals i believe. Love the bluelyser but not easy accessible to get from the merchant and needto buy direct. Kane great service and solid feel, but screen is toy town from the 80s. Anton I've used i find they are shite, they shit themselves soon as co goes abve 250ppm. Constant needing charged. First analyder i bought was a testo 310 great budget range anlyser. I paid 340 quid for it in 2012. Its screen is a lcd screen and beats a expensive anton. Now upgraded to testo 320b. I was going to get the tpi 710 but thought I'd stay with testo. If it pulls information into your software from analyser, differential temp prob clamps and manometer at the same time surlely it's saved you time.
Hello, why you never share, that replacement sensors for such devices cost nearly the same as the device itself? And the oxygen sensor has to be replaced aproximataly every 2-3 years.
I thought this was a in depth honest review. Thanks for sharing.

just bought one of these Derek. i bought the c1 kit.
Will it allow you to take a phone call at the same time ?
I noticed in another video you used an Anton to do a sweep test. Can this analyser do it to?

@@Matteo-rs7nk why would it be AR ? I would get the responsible person to get the cupboard removed or changed so the test can be carried out.

how often do you have to get it calibrated?
The same as all the others every year
Not bad for the price. Are you going to bring Testo into the mix?
Cam Smith they said they would at phex but they haven’t been to the centre with one yet. Thanks for watching
