I'm sorry to see that the accessory broke - I print those in semi-flexible resin so they are bendy enough to have a little give but not so bendy as to curve/warp when displayed. It's a fine line to walk in maintaining durability! :) I know Steve told you in the notes he sent, but once a resin figure is painted, sometimes the joints can stick - you need to gently wiggle them loose if you want to pose them so that you can take advantage of the 5POA and also not risk breakage. Note to any potential customers: I'm always happy to provide replacement parts if something breaks while you're customizing/painting!

Awesome scores. That Han with the interchangeable head is really cool. Good to see K-3PO. I missed out on the Stan Solo version. Hopefully he does another run with R-3PO also. I think I seen K-3PO in the latest Mandi episode. Must have had a good repair job because he was badly damaged when Echo base was attacked.
The Hoth figures are really nice, especially the rebel soldiers from your last video. I've seen a custom of the radio operator from Echo Base, created from a Hoth Leia figure. She looks very impressive.

That's Toryn Farr. I bought the modern Hasbro figure around 2013 from the 3.75 inch black line. I think that's the only time Hasbro has ever done a figure of her.

I also like how even though vintage figures are 'cut up' to make these (probably beaters) - all the parts generally get used throughout the various customs, that's actually the tricky thing when making these - Planning out how all the parts can be recycled into new figures. I'd glue the head on to that Nikto if I had it. Maybe pick up a vintage vibro-weapon or repro to replace the broken one?
You're so right! Knowing what you can do with what you have is half the battle. The head was never glued on to begin with but I may do it. Again, I'm not playing with any of these. LOL. Only displaying them.
It was hard to tell in the video but it looked like the painter used some plumbers tape or something else to thicken the head peg to make it fit - that's a pretty common tactic amongst customizers. Most Funky Maclunkey figures come with a neck peg that is a snug fit but is removable/replaceable if it breaks!
Great men the best Star Wars action figures are realy made by creative People that love the star wars toys its not a secret that Hasbro loves the profit not the toys. Sad but true. Great men make Great toys.
I've purchased a few of Maclunkey's 3D designs to print and he does great work. They look like they were made by the original Kenner designers themselves.

You could potentially hire someone else to paint them. I personally have only purchased the 3D files themselves and printed them myself from home.

These figures look so cool and so nice. They seem pretty easy to do (except the paint deco) The sad part is that I am to afraid to do this my own. Even if I have some beaters, I still want them in their original beat up stage, at the same time as I want to do my own customs... 😄 The colsest I have ever come to do my own is to swap the head of a Luke X-wing with a broken Han Solo. I didnt even dare to Dremel out the remains of the luke head, even thou I snapped his neck peg, so that he was fully decapitated... Thus, no helmet for Han X-Wing. I have also managed to replace a Biker scout head/helmet with Mandarins head, and then use the poorly beaten Mandarin body to put a Lando head on, in an attempt to make a (sort of) custom Last 17 Lando 😄 The heads, except for Mandarin, came from figures that had been used for a BB gun target practice... I know his name aint Mandarin, but its close enough, and my Swedish spell check auto correct it to be Mandarin, so it was easier to just let it be that way 😄

If your target audience was young women, they would love to see a fairly good looking guy talking directly to camera at length. That's not your audience. Dudes. And geeky manchildren, at that. When Stan Solo figures are sold out, that’s usually a wrap. They are all one time deals, partly what makes them so special.

Hoth Han with the brown is do much better than the blue we got. I might have actually liked this figure if he looked like that in 1980.
Yes, Kenner should've painted him brown instead. Oh well. At least we got a Hoth Han!
