The suit doesn’t really change all too much. The production team just added or subtracted buttons and that’s about it other than finding some different gloves which was due to the original brand not being around. The helmet was a a mold from the first movie and was fine other than a slight difference in paint job.
@@kelven.l2488 it's practically the same in between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The only visible difference is the chest armor is a bit lighter in color and more shiny.
His lightsaber is different in a few ways, the emitter shroud is curved rather than straight and the clamp section sits lower with shorter grips and there are black screws dotted around the hilt of the saber, there is a little more black around the lower section of his mask (for those who don't know, Darth Vader's mask is painted in an alternating pattern of black and gunmetal grey in all films except episode III), the dome of the helmet sits a tiny bit higher, exposing his eyebrows more, the indentation in the dome just above his eyebrows is absent, the chest and belt box button layouts change slightly and the aluminium tusks on his mask come to a point rather than being hemispherical like in ESB. but nobody notices small details like that.
Pro tip for sticker removal: spray a cloth with something like chain degreaser and rub down the residue after you remove the rest of the sticker. It just comes right off. I work in a bike shop and you'd be ASTONISHED at the number of uses I've found for chain degreaser that don't involve degreasing chains.
isopropyl alcohol also does wonders on clearing up sticker residue if you can't source chain degreaser for some reason; it isn't quite as effective, but it's better than nothing (and might already be in your house).
I have a solution better than both degreaser and alcohol, and it smells better: Orange oil It will literally remove anything, but be careful. Its harmful if swallowed because its concentrated orange juice so its basically a liquid carcinogen.
Way too much.99 is the type of budget I can get behind. Great build as always. I think you found a much higher purpose for this display case than what it was originally meant for.
There is another Bandai model kit of Darth Vader. It is the Return of the Jedi specifically, which comes with an unmask Darth Vader head and damaged hand. besides those additions, it changes the plastic soft goods with a rubber soft goods.
My man, I guess I miss good SW content so much. Or maybe I’m a big baby, but this video brought me to tears. Happy tears, reminding me of how great SW can be. Thank you
I like how each lightsaber lights the opposing figure in a different shade. Usually Vader is lit red, but here he's lit green. It exemplifies Luke's influence on him over time. His armor, his shell he built up to house his core of guilt and regret for his past, reflects a green glow showing how difficult it is for Luke to get through as he seemingly just ignores all of Luke's pleas for peace and redemption. Luke on the other hand is lit in red, showing a warming up to the Dark Side and his Father's ways when confronted with a no-win scenario. Even so, he shows a steady resistance to temptation despite the influence of rage and anger from the Emperor because he knows he has friends to avenge and the memory of Obi Wan and Yoda to preserve.
I am an adult and I just watched the original trilogy this year lol. I gotta say, as dated as some parts of these movies are, they really do make you feel something. I enjoyed them a lot, and I may even hold a Star Wars party and rewatch the movies with some friends. I'm glad you got to experience that as a child though, it must be so awesome being able to grow up with that interest :)
The LED projects never cease to amaze me, just so cool and fully "real" lighting that is VERY hard to achieve with painting. And painting doesn't do anything for what's around you, these LEDs make it "more real".
The way the way the lightsabers reflect off the glass, just feels so nostalgic to me. Best way i can explain it, is it somehow, to me, feels like younger me is watching the duel from ROTJ for the first time.
I remember so vividly watching this scene for the first time as a high schooler. Thank you for recreating this scene and so excellently bringing back a great memory!!
I love that the positioning of the sabers casts Luke in red light and Vader in green. There's some symbolism in there that I'm too sleepy to expound upon :)
Sometimes, you need a little luck in life. In this case, finding an $80.00 display case for only $20.00 to display a well-executed "Star Wars" scene. (It's also nice to see at 3:28 that the Empire does, in fact, use handrails . . . .) Thanks for sharing this!
Great result! Love the styrene rods organization system! It would be amazing to have a video showing the way you organize everything, from the familiar bits to the foam boards, etc. For Xmas maybe?
I love how Boylei still leaves in (or at least references) mistakes. It reminds me that Editing Magic is still taking place, and that even someone who is really good at something still messes up sometimes. Also, he usually makes it funny. XD I also love that he still includes rapid cuts of de-spru-ing (??) or assemblies of things. I continue to be a huge fan of the channel!
That is a heck of a deal and a heck of a mood " way too much 99" is going to be my new saying.. And funny that I find myself in the same place when it comes to stickers😂 Love your videos as always friend!
The video with Luke slicing through an AT-ST was my first Boylei video, and RotJ features my favorite lightsaber duel, so this was a great vide for me. I'd loved to something EU inspired in the future, especially Thrawn and/or Mara Jade.
This looks awesome! If anyone was " offended" because he didn't use a movie accurate Darth Vader, maybe it's time to reevaluate your life. There is no need to apologize for awesomeness!
Ronsonol or Zippo lighter fluid is the magic sticker remover. Not just the residue. If you can just peel up a corner and squirt the stuff underneath while peeling, it pretty much comes off like a Post-It.
Wow!!! Epic!!! Other than your LotR builds, the star wars is my favorite!!! I love it! ❤ I love your 'less is more' aproach to the surroundings! Could you do one with Ahsoka an Darth Maul standing in the throne room on Mandalore from the last season of the Clone Wars? That is my favorite lightsaber duel from Star Wars.
I really enjoy your videos. Especially the wild imaginary west!! Here’s a random idea. A assassins creed scene of ezio jumping off the roof of a building ready to kill an unknowing guard.
A great example of "less is more". Very classy....classic diorama.
Luckily for me I don’t have a special football 🏈 😂🤣
Nor I lol

Always surprises me how much trivia people can know about even the smallest things.

Heat gun or blow dryer does the job
WD-40 works as well
will NEVER get tired of how damn cool your LED builds look

I think its because more of the green LED noodle is nearer the Vader figure and more of the red LED noodle is nearer the Luke figure.
Love it when you go the action figure route in one of your builds. And I really love that styrene rod storage system you got going on there!
I like that the light saber colors reflect more off the opposite characters.
Love it with the cover on!!! It’s like an infinity mirror effect!!!
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The orchestral music really shows how much it matters in star wars. This makes it seem like a more serious film
I got actual chills during the beauty shots. ROTJ made such a huge impact on me as a child. Love what you do man! ❤

This scene/sequence is one of the reasons Return of the Jedi is my favorite film
It's so cool how the green lightsaber shines more on vader, and the red one shines more on Luke on 7:47. Amazing video!
That one of the coolest star wars things I've ever seen specially with Vader and Luke's lightsabers light up 😮😮😮😮😮👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
I love that the positioning of the sabers casts Luke in red light and Vader in green. There's some symbolism in there that I'm too sleepy to expound upon :)
Big points for the use of cocktail straws to conceal the filament and wire, that was very clever. Excellent outcomes!
Your videos were a relaxing thing to look forward to during a very dark period in my life. Thank you.
That's awesome you get an infinity reflection with the added glass case.
It's only slightly unbelievably AWESOME!
The greatest Star Wars lightsaber duel ever. As to quote Luke from ESB, “I see you Wedge, good work!”
Sometimes the simpler builds are the best. Top work

I suppose you don’t get to rule a galaxy or two without adhering to some basic health and safety rules ...
That Deathstar is just an accident waiting to happen. Hand rails and Non-slip surfaces are essential :)@@chrisdrake447
Fun fact about the hand rails darth/lord vader uses the force to keep his body up so hand rails is much needed when he is tired@@chrisdrake447
Loved the music at the end. It's such a classic sequence. Got chills
do you know the song name?
My favorite scene and favorite build as of yet
God I love this build. This is my favorite duel from the saga
I absolutely love that you have a dremil on a housing creating a pro drill.
Love the simple open layout.
Very cool. Man, sports memorabilia gets all the best display cases. Great job.
Phenomenal work!! This is absolutely gorgeous!! Very well done!
*May the force be with you. Always.*
I love all your dioramas with beautiful light features.
I was in a funky mood and just watched this and feel better now. Haha. Thanks!!! Love seeing the magic of Hobby time!🎉
Great result! Love the styrene rods organization system! It would be amazing to have a video showing the way you organize everything, from the familiar bits to the foam boards, etc. For Xmas maybe?
Star Wars diorama is always a welcome.
Perfect choice for my birthday! This is one of my favorite scene of all of Star Wars
One of my favorite Lightsaber battles
I love it. A simple diorama, showing an iconic battle from the OT.
Absolutely beautiful diorama!
This diorama is simple but beautiful !!! I love this scene in the movie and you did a really amazing job !!!!
The lightsaber gag really tickled me. This is the first video of yours I have seen but I am looking forward to watching your other awesome builds!
Always happy to see a Star Wars diorama.
Love your work with led filaments. Really sets you apart.
Well you did it before I could. Now I gotta think of something else. Very inspiring sir. Enjoy these.
That is awesome. It's so weird how the lightsabers look lighter in color in their hands but the reflections they are bright and bold.
Simply beautiful, the final effect is wonderful!!! Thank you :):):)
I didn't think the light would show so well through the straws. Nicely done!
This is possibly my favourite diorama you've ever done
"You don't know the power of the dark side."
Well this Boylei Hobby Time video overpowers the Dark and Light side in my opinion.
I really like the reflections of the sabers on the glass. Well done guy
I don’t even like star wars all that much, but I enjoy your videos so much that I watch even the star wars ones 🥰
Simple and Visually Stunning....as Usual...

The case really adds to the build, nice find!
Hi Caleb. So simple but SOOOOO incredibly AMAZING. One of your best character models.
Best regards Chicken
Love additional head and hand options
I think my favorite part might be the reflections off the glass case. It helps give depth I think
Only a MAN could do that !
Well done!
Watching your Noodle Saber and thinking of the Spaceballs scene with Dark Helmet and Lonestar.
Probably your least complex dioramas but still very effective. Thanks for sharing!
That’s a really cool idea. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻
This could be official merch, dude. Simple but great. Thanks for the upload.
This is brilliant. More star wars please.
You make it seem so straightforward!!
This is so cool. I love that you didn't clutter it but made a 360 diorama
Great make... Looks awesome... Make me wanna watch star wars again
The light reflecting off Vader looks amazing. I bet it looks good in lower light and even better in real life.
THAT..... is friggin awesome!
Always so inspired by your videos! I checked out a few of your Luke Skywalker dioramas as I made my own Luke-centric diorama that I just finished.
This looks awesome! Damn, I should rewatch the OG trilogy again.
Impressive…most impressive
Yes! More star wars builds please!
This is one of my favorite. Great job.
Got to love those Star Wars builds! Hope we see more of that incredible growing lightsaer:)
This build is like Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi: 🔥🔥🔥
Nice job. I really like that fact that you decided to hide those wires, [because wire can ruin a view on great built]. Looking great this way! 😊
Very nice. Star wars diorama's are my favorite. I want to build a x-wing fighter being lifted out the swamp by Yoda in the future.😊
Simple and beautiful! Excellent build as always, Boylei!
As usual, very nicely done. Especially with the scratch build light sabers.
Now do Lonestar and Dark Helmet! You can make their twisted Schwartz's with the led noodles!
This was super cool!!!! I love the little beat building section you did with Vader and the end result is great!
I’m deeply offended by the inaccuracy of whatever difference there is between whichever movies your talking about 😡 How dare you 😜
Very cool! Thats a great scene from the movie!
That is a heck of a deal and a heck of a mood " way too much 99" is going to be my new saying.. And funny that I find myself in the same place when it comes to stickers😂
