Kara, there IS global regulations for AI systems. The European Union passed a comprehensive set of laws (the EU AI Act of 2024) which provided regulatory oversight, mandated penalties, specified how AI could and could NOT be used, protects privacy, and much more; AND the United Nations created protocols and software for any government who asks that would align their national AI policies with those of the EU in recognition that everyone needs to be on board. This is a classic case presented by the interviewee where he showcases, probably unconsciously, how to glide through an interview where the interviewer is hell bent on downplaying him!!
If anyone has 8 hours to spare at any point, get ahold of a documentary which mostly consists of a long interview with Marie-Louise Von Franz, one of the pupils of Carl Jung. They both knew Wolfgang Pauli. Basically these were some of the most fascinating people who've ever existed. The documentary is called "The Way of the Dream". As a contemporary guide for use with Jung's writings and those of his pupils and associates, there's also a book written a couple years ago called "Jungian Reflections on Systemic Racism", bringing some necessary racial context to depth psychology. Anyway, the witch and her bird's nest made me think about what Marie-Louise Von Franz would have to say about the writers of witch hunting manuals!
An unconscious civilization enables leverage over understanding. The path to truth (enlightenment) is harder when the signpost to it is obscured by poisonous plants (beliefs).
What an unpleasant interviewer that lady is. She doesn't let him finish his thought, she butts in all the time. She wants to appear intelligent. I love Yuval. Of all the interviews I've seen, the worst interviewer.

Because she's intelligent?
@@paulatakeuchi7015 ? ? ? Read the comments please ! Its NOT about IQ, its about INSENSITIVITY ! ! !
Harari always worth listening to. But the interviewer is so annoying. Let Harari finish his ideas!
I don't like when the interviewer speaks more than the intrviewed. She has to be a coordinator, not a narrator. She has to be more humble. It is becoming boring.
The misandry from the hostess is outrageous. Her mischaracterization of Musk and free speech reveals her deep resentment of successful men and the free exchange of ideas. Listen to Yuval and ignore her ignorance and envy.
Вот она, Кара твоя, друг мой, Юваль
I would love to see a panel of Emad Mostaque, Yuval Noah Harari , and many others. Possibly Kara Swisher hosting.
❤
O que Yuval diz é assustador! Tudo que o homem fez no passado mal podia ele prever as consequências... Agora então com
a IA cujo poder e praticamente desmesurado a coisa assume ares de catastrofe...
Just got here and after reading the comments, I'm going to pass. She's usually pretty good. Maybe she had too much in her thoughts to have the interview go smoothly.
She wasnt that bad and Yuvall had new material and well worth watching.
Everytthing mentioned here gets covered way better in his interview with Robert Ince. You can skip this one. I disagree with @erowan1389, she was pretty terrible and you can definitely skip this one.
@@erowan1389 Thanks for that. I know I could have tolerated it, but I saw another recent video he did and watched that instead.
Yuval doesn’t have to sit with such nasty evil Narcissist 😮😮😮😮😮
Psychologists and philosophers have used “agentic” for a while.
Kara's always been like this lol
This ditch cut him off once again at 42:44 when he was going to make a great point about how AI could afect this institution
Yuval is the next barbie and ken maker
My partner's family ate dog in the old country, so annoying people act like it's a joke to have known true hunger
Worst interviewer.
But great interviewee!
Wait for the Frankfurt book fair interview to come out ...
What was i mermaid of - Yuval Noah Harari
An unconscious civilization enables leverage over understanding. The path to truth (enlightenment) is harder when the signpost to it is obscured by poisonous plants (beliefs).

Atheism is also a "religion"
@@rapturebound197 who said? Your god?
What an unpleasant interviewer that lady is. She doesn't let him finish his thought, she butts in all the time. She wants to appear intelligent. I love Yuval. Of all the interviews I've seen, the worst interviewer.
Love the Web to Cocoon metaphor for the evolution of the internet. Sad.
Here is a different perspective from Jaron Lanier. As much as I enjoy his writing, I am not sure I agree with being so blase about some of these things. ua-cam.com/video/BYQ9lrU5o4s/v-deo.htmlsi=qJBMCjiP1pIStNjM
don't humans need to plug AIs in ??
This interview is about Kara's self importance.
Imagine living with this thing i wouldn't blame her previous wife if she cheated on her.
I was annoyed by the thousand comments about Kara, but then I got to the 42 minute mark when Kara interups him as he's discussing fiance and it's infuriating. The moment she doesn't understand something, the arrogance just kicks in and she has to derail Yuval. Totally immature!
Amway milkmaid and nestle banned all baby food products reason yuval noah harari Credits Julie don sweets
20 minutes in...sorry what am I listening to?
