Something not mentioned, there's an absurdly expensive light meter that can control the trigger as well which I would find super handy, not many hundreds of dollars handy but, handy.
I've seen some talk about this trigger but I blew it off thinking the one I have is fine. But once you mentioned that it can go to lower power settings, I think that sold me to go ahead and look into buying one. Thanks for the info.
Hey my Man, just purchased your presets and I look forward to giving them a try. I am also going to order one of these triggers as soon as I can get one here in Australia.
I upgraded my godox t1 to t2s and upgraded my X-Pro from version 1 to version 2. Totally new Yes there are improvements but I wonder if the money to upgrade was really worth it.
Great video. One question. You mentioned being able to get light power down to 1/512. I thought your strobe had to be capable of powering down to 1/512. Am I wrong?
From what I heard is that some of our strobes can with firmware updates.. as far as which strobe im not sure yet but i will do more reaching to find out.. if its not many then maybeeeeeeee godox is about to give us new generations of their strobes 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

No you are right. The reason that it supports 1/512 is that the P2400 supports that power setting. You can't add lower power settings to lights with a firmware upgrade, you need to install a faster (and more expensive) IGBT.
Is this better than the Godox X1T or the X2T Wireless Flash? The Godox X1T and X2T Wireless Flash have fewer control features, right? I was thinking of the X2T Wireless Flash for the hotshoe?
Bought the new version of this trigger, first shoot tapped the unit lightly against a wall when the camera was on my shoulder and the screen died, seriously delicate, Godox offer to 'sell' me a replacement screen and I have to either replace myself or find someone locally to do it. guess you get what you pay for...
Very good review Ryan, thanks for this video. I have a question - I am assisting a couple of photographers that use the XPro I, and they are not yet too confident in setting the power for the external flash that I am handling. Therefore, I am constantly telling them what setting do they need for my flash. Is there a way for this trigger to override power setting communication so that I may manually set the external flash and keep it in that setting, even if the power setting on the XPro is different ? In other words, I want the flash power setting override the trigger power setting.
Thank you. So I understand what you are asking about but unfortunately not. There is just manual and TTL. But the quick suggestion would just be to set all triggers to the same thing. But I’m assuming that you didn’t want to have to continue making changes on their triggers when you make a small adjustment to the light. That would be a cool feature though. That’s kind of how I use to do on my triggers that only fired the speed lights and didn’t control them back in the day. I will look more into this but I don’t see any option.
Does TTL + HSS for e.g. AD-300 work for Canon R-5 with this new trigger.? I'm afraid no. On the old XPro (as well as e.g. on the V1 on hot shoe) it will always trigger "full capacity" with TTL + HSS + Canon R5
I really wish I mentioned that because that was the first thing I noticed after connecting it to my camera. It’s wayyyyyyy smoother and more indents in the wheel for a better grip
Ryan but can you please be open and tell us, if you have the ver. 1 of this trigger does it make any sense to buy the new one? Plain and simple, forget about money and price, I juat want to know about features that justify buying the new one. And, is there any difference between this trigger and Flashpooint's R2 XPRO II?
I do have the xpro first version which i shown in the video.. and as I said it never broke and I never needed to replace it.. with that being said if your trigger works for you... dont upgrade.. i can not speak on the r2 mark 2 because i never had that one only the one from godox.. i would need to do more research on it.. if you use a light meter the top brand for light meters can be synced up with this to fire the flash.. i was going to buy this regardless because i like having the newer version but if yours work for you continue to use it..
I was just watching a video of the neewer q pro trigger. Looks a lot like this but adopted the wheel found on the x2t which I find it has a great grip. Perhaps this is what all triggers will look like in the future.
How are you? The answer to that question is yes. I did a search for you and found this video. You can do it with the first xpro trigger as well. Hopefully this helps you. ua-cam.com/video/cSWKefoKKFE/v-deo.html

I have that very expensive light meter. Don't forget to put the meter in "App" or "Godox" mode.
