Ngl the gaps are more impressive to me than the grinds
same
You have to know what it's like to grind a handrail to know how truly gnarly it is
@@heneedsummelk117 Falling on a rail and hitting the flat bottom isn't fun either. All you have to do with drops and gaps is commit, to skate a 20 stair rail takes lots of skill.
Depends. Lipslides aren't as impressive unless switch but any kind of blunt down El Toro is insane in my book.
thats cuz you dont skate big stuff, its WAAAAY scarier to grind big shit than jump off huge gaps
That fact that there is enough tricks at this spot for a top 10 list is crazy in its own right.
That’s why we had to put the list together. Already been done video coming soon. I believe there has been 25-30 tricks done down the set
@@LimitlessCulture Mind blowing.
Like for real
Wheres chris joslins tre flip? Thats number 1 in my book
thats how awesome skaters are...
The fact that Dave Bachinsky kickflipped this and shreds tech and transition skating just shows how criminally underrated he is. Just insane.
On a 7.5 board
@@punghyun0827 came here to say that exact thing! He was skating a toothpick lol
I don't even know the guy. That kickflip was for me the best trick done in this video. I'll have to look him up.
Dudes now skate actual ply wood lol
I was like bachinsky does manual shit and was amazed he did that 😮😮😮
Bachinsky kickflip is still the gnarliest thing in my opinion. That was like 15 years ago too. So insane. I was in high school at the time and w my friends and I opened a magazine to see the sequence of the kickflip. It blew all of our minds.
definitely up there - i remember when he did it too - everyone was in disbelief but i think if i had seen clive dixon do the nollie noseblunt at that time i would have shit my pants lmaoo
Was so perfect that kick flip. I wish we could count joslin 360 flip. But couldn’t ride it out smooth..
The kickflip is definitely number 1 by far. Nobody else did a flip tricks yet (expect jaws). Respect to all the rail tricks but now a lot of people can just destroy the rail so all the one who have jumped the stairs are definitely before
@@DarwinBoys1 this guy gets it.
Literally exact same story for me too lmao. 10th grade. He instantly became a household name amongst skaters.
Back tail is probably the gnarliest thing on this. FS blunt to forward is pretty crazy as well
I agree the grinds are gnarly , but for me Bachinsky's kickflip will always be my personal favorite. The man literally gaps like 5 feet past the stairs . He was going so fast , just a monumental piece of skate history . But all tricks accomplished here are legendary
Yeah bro, who the hell ranks a kickflip over a back tail, wtf 😂
kotokid31 it’s his favorite not the hardest
@@commie281 yeah it isn't a matter of whats harder, they are completely different tricks with completely different consequences for fucking up. tricks down the stairs have always been more mind blowing than down the rail for me. but the of course that nollie noseblunt was too much
Obviously Shecklers Backside flip was number one!!!
chris joslin treflip deserves an honourable mention
if it actually happened
There footage of it, the problem is he landed it and rolled away and stepped off because his truck cracked
@@thecryptochef he was so off balance theres no way you can call that a make
ummm Dons ollie? which was NBD
@@chyeaOGKushwas absolutely a make brotha his truck snapped
Nuge should get props for being the first to go down it: an ollie, 1st try.
bowie pfp
Right, and how about the fact he was like 10. Just a little kid
Jaws is not a make, so we have also got vacancy
@@dannythompson1948 What? Nuge was 20 or 21
@@almasysephirot4996Jaws rides away on his board. That’s a make.
Super easy part to forget since it was like 2 minutes long and half bails, but Carlos Ruiz did a back lip in Blind's What If. I was hoping that was in here
joslins 360 flip deserves credit. shit was insane.
Jamie Foy rolled up, 50-50'd the rail twice back to back 1st and 2nd try as a warm up and then proceeded to land the front crook on the 1st try... LEGEND FOR THAT ONE
right dude is a beast
He said he did it 30 times. 3-0
Nyjah's switch front lip is not #2 ... It isn't more gnarly than Foys front crook at #7 ... Weak.
Aaron locks in almost half way down on the that backtail. So gnarly.
***Adrien
That shit was crazy
Literally gaps the first half so gnarly
U mean adrien ?
@Ruby Tuesday I meant Adrien
didn’t know u skated. thanks for teaching me some uke
You need to edit this an add joslins tre flip
How could he forget
joslin himself say that he didn't make it, his trucks blew out... sad but true
you think he landed it? Do you skate?
I was going to say they should add ben gilleys 5-0 the way he holds it and pushes through it is just epic
@@andybruce904 he landed, he was bieng humble
Clive Dixon’s Nollie Noseblunt is a mind melter. It doesn’t even sound realistic, especially down something like El Toro. Insane
Any true skater knows Switch Ollie is far more impressive than Switch 180... The fact you have fly down that thing parallel the whole time on your abnormal side, and then also landing switch... that's so much more difficult than popping to face forwards and then landing regular.
The back tail no doubt. Bc no one is even mentioning that he ate a gnarly slam, picked up his glasses, wiped the blood off his face and stomped it. GoAT
truth be told
The grinds are nothing to the impact of even getting over the stairs without the aid of the rail to brace the fall.
Yeah, but I can image the impact would be much worse when you get stuck on top of the rail and slide down on your balls
Mr Mediocre someone that doesn’t skate rails lmao
@@DotKom01 Said it perfectly
@@zuxyr Sorry I didn't exactly say what I meant, I could imagine the pain would be about the same, just in different places
Even tho it’s not the best one, my favorite is the kickflip melon by jaws
its definitely a timeless clip!
The Back Tail win in my book cause it's on the stair side (not a softer dirt hill to bail on) and you're traveling backwards.
So insane!!! The balls it takes to even try that is beyond me
Back tail number one without a doubt
The back tail is very impressive but flipping your board down a gap that size is much more difficult. The kickflip is number 1 in my opinion plus it was like over 15 years ago. To catch a flip trick down that big of a gap is more impressive than the back tail. Imo.
Only other number 1 would be nuge for being the first to ollie it, also first try.
Yup
That front crook still one of the gnarliest trick done on that spot for me. The control for Jaime didnt slipped or worst, got stuck mid way was unbelievable. Also the set of balls he got is pretty impressive too 😅
I agree the front crook should have been number 1 the rails steep and to front crook it you're nose diving but I believe Ben gilleys 5-0 first try should have been on here
back tail and kickflip are the scariest to be done on EL Toro
That nollie nose blunt was insane
I don’t think most people even realize the amount of stuff that’s gone down there. Whenever I see most people comment on tricks they usually always talk about 5 or so tricks on the rail & the same amount of tricks down the stairs. That rail has been annihilated. Nollie back 50-50, noseblunt, back smith, front smith, nosegrind, 5-0, back 5-0, back salad, front feeble, back crook, pretty sure noseslide, back feeble & im sure I’m forgetting a few in addition to more I still haven’t seen. The one trick down the set that I think deserves more recognition is the back 180. Dude took a beating before he finally got it too
This is so fun to watch
Honestly I think the back tail is the most impressive thing here (granted everything in this video is insane). There is no bailing from that trick at all, you're zooming down the rail with the back of your body turned to it, if you slip out after locking in, you're falling straight on the rail. Can't believe anyone has the balls to commit to something like that.
Please have El Toro in Skate 4!!!
Watching them land those gaps hurts my knees so much!!!!
When I try to imagine actually trying any of these Bulard's back tail scares me the most, followed closely by the Foy's front crook.
agreed.
The back tail gives me nightmares. I want to know how many tries it took him. Ima get an interview with in the future and see. I'll get back to you on that
Agreed
@@LimitlessCulture yo dude you can watch the raw footage now on UA-cam if you want to see it. He did it for over an hour, so like 10-15 attempts I think? 2-3 where he eatsssss it. The falls where you palms sweat while your watching it through youtube.... imagine that shit irl... I cannot 😂 fuck that
Yup
Arto Saari - front board, #1 for me
Sick compilation. I would have thrown in Arto's front board too
next time
front crook was the most impressive one to me. so gnarly
Jamie a beast without a doubt
How did Shane Cross not make the list?
I came to say this.. 1st try nose grind.. 🤷♂️
Down the middle rail too
Way gnarlier
Amen
That's what I'm saying. Came to look for this comment before posting it.
The disrespect of not even mentioning that guy wtf
1. Bachinksy's kickflip
2. Decenzo's nollie
3. Jaws kickflip melon
4. Merlino's switch ollie
5. Joslin's almost tre flip
My left ear really enjoyed that into
What about Ryan Sheckl...... Oh wait
😂😂😂😂
LMAO
Someone will land it one day. Nyjah got way closer
didn't he BSF it?
@@ericcarrillo1294 no it was a fake apparently
The no grab kick flip was definitely the best one. Smooth as silk.
the grinds are so scary. imagine falling ON the stairs in a bad position at that height and speed. terrifying
Time to add Chris Joslin's 360 flip (yes, it counts) and move it to #1
If your friend landed like Joslin in a flatground game of SKATE would you count it?
Seanjon916 literally people do stairs and stuff and some of them like roll into a wall or grass after like 10 feet, and joslin rolled at least 10-15 feet, so why wouldn’t you count it?
Tad Tschetter perhaps the standards are higher where I’m from.. I’d give him a redo, just like Joslin himself didn’t accept it and went to try it again.
Dielit. Chris I see a major difference between landing, rolling away, and then choosing to jump off your board before hitting a wall or some grass compared to landing in an uncontrolled power slide with your arms flailing above your head and being thrown off your board because you’re not in control
Seanjon916 he still rolled away tho🤷♂️
Thanks this was good
That is crazy! Good top 10 for El Toro!
appreciate it mate
Back tail and front krooks are the hardest ones fr
Jaws one is my all time favorite clip so sick
I get it, I'm old at 40, but was low-key hoping to see the Arto Saari front board on here. At the time that was some next level shit and you see his legs shift/buckle a little to rebalance that tells you how long that shit was.
That back tail is a completely different level. Throwing yourself down that many stairs backside gets all the props in the world.
And Arto did that at night with the generators losing power
Arto definitely set the bar and was a pioneer but with all of the legendary tricks that have gone down since then that I couldn't disregard. Arto will always be a legend for that though
@@c1dtl39 deff adds that gnar factor
Back tail should be #1. If you miss the lock in, you're falling backwards down the whole stair set, and if one of your feet catches on the rail you can flip onto your head.
TJ with that switch 180🔥
Early HD in an SD world. Nice!
Chris Joslin's tre flip should be on the list, he landed and rolled away but the truck came out or something, i think everyone would agree that it was a land, and a tre flip over el toro afterall
Insane
All dope the back tail tho
Ryan Dannettelle should be on here for his legendary backside 180 that people forget around fifteen years ago. He is the only person who has rolled away fakie from doing a trick down the stairs.
Yoooo your right This list has definitely missed a few crazy ones like that. I’m going to be making a video of all of the ABDS at El Toro and I’ll make sure I don’t miss any
Nick Merlino sw ollie
Number 1 didn't disappoint
it’s a different thing to do basic slides or grinds a rail down than a flip hole stairs.
The switch Ollie is one of the gnarliest to me, I feel like switch 180 would be the easiest next to ollie
This is my personal list of top 10 tricks landed down El Toro
1. Nollie Bs Nose Blunt - Clive Dixson
2. Nollie - Ryan Decenzo
3. Bs 180 - Ryan Dannettelle
4. Kickflip - Dave Bachinsky
5. Bs Tailslide - Adrien Bulard
6. Bs Lipslide - Unknown
7. Fs Blunt - Vincent Milou
8. Fs Nosegrind - Shane Cross
9. Switch Fs 180 - TJ Rogers
10. Fs 50-50 180 out - Kanaan Dern
all these tricks are insane. but. the tricks that went down on the middle rail (before they took it out) was so much gnarlier. no safety grass or dirt to bail on....
Cant believe no ones mentioning decenzos nollie, hands down the craziest thing, how someone can nollie that far is insane
Aaron jawss tail snapped lol
The nollie nose blunt is just next level
Great video bro. No bullshit like other el torro videos.
How is a lip slide higher up than the front crook? Front crook is infinitely harder and more dangerous
i need to go there
Where the hell is Heath Kirchart and Jeremy Klein driving a van down it? That should be number 1
😹🙀
Lol fuck you right i should have added that at the end just for shits and giggles haha itll be in the next one just for u
The balls it takes to even give backside tailsliding El Torro a try is insane, but then to actually pull it off!!! I can't think of a scarier trick to try down that fucking thing. Going that fast on such a big rail backside is just crazy. Especially tailslide because so many things can go wrong.
Death.
Not enough people bring up that back tail
Honourable Mention: Shane Cross nosegrinded the middle rail when it was still there, if Foy's crook is in there, I feel that Cross' nosegrind should be.
Agreed but nobody knows their history
The front crook haaaaaas to be the gnarliest thing.. other than the kick flip all those other tricks are life saver tricks
To the best tricks to ever go down warrants even in this video. Andrew Reynolds, front side, flip over the rail and the van driving down all the stairs.
People
Dont realize how crazy any backside grind is down a stair case literally a life risking trick
Backtail gotta be the craziest thing to try
for real! going blind to this rail has to be the most fucked thing
sick
Personally I would but an extra one in and it technically isn't a trick but I love how Richie Jackson slid down it.
Foy absolutely man handled that hand rail with that front crook
Backtail was the sickest lol
Honorable mention would be Chris Joslins tre flip
Its a make , his truck snapped if jaws was a make joslins should be too imo
Yep ! Definitely. Deserves it
@@JackedBiker that’s why I said honorable mention
Currently the number one on here, Clive Dixon, is unsponsored.
How some of those guys still have functioning knee joints is beyond me … i mean, i know it’s great technique and physique but still, that drop is 2 people high. Insane. Mad respect.
I’m thinking the skaters who grew up drinking a healthy dose of real cow’s milk are the ones with the knee joint advantage. I feel for kids these days growing up on soy “milk”, rice “milk”, almond “milk” oat “milk” and all the other fake milks that deprive them of the nutrient rich animal milks, ideally raw milk.
How is Matt Mumfords front smith (first try) or Nuges Ollie not in here?!
The middle rail is where it was at!
Bruh this is insane
The kid that did a backflip on his scooter should be number 1
It's pretty wild to me that nobody else got any kind of flip trick down the stairs it into something on the rail...ol bachinsky still holds that title for sure...
Chris joslin was the closest to taking the title I'd say it was the closest thing next. I wish he landed it
the decenzo nollie is slept on
I agree - arguably could have been better than nick merlinos switch ollie but I’ll let it slide
Decenzo Nollie's should also be here. It was sooo Clean...
the music cut at the beginning is sick
Where's the firecracker? That one is gnarly radical haha!
Adrien Bulard's landing is superhuman.
The set has like a couple 180's variations, ollies fakie and switch + a kickflip..... not many can skate the set. Jamie foy 50-50's and krooks first try. The rail is hype but the set is the gold.
I think the grind are more impressive because of the consequences. If you have ever skated a hand rail, there is a ton of shit that can go on. If you are skating a huge rail like that and its super steep its about just as fucked as skating the set.
@@LimitlessCulture That's must be why people have hit 30 stair rails, but no one has kickflipped any 30 sets. Must be because the kickflip is easier.
there is so much airtime on that hill
I see what you did there
Where is Chris joslin’s tre flip
Ye
He tried, but he didn't roll away
@@nicoderadodomenge9663 his trucks broke on impact. He rolled away long enough to count for something out of his control in my book
@@steveng2504 okayy, didn't know that
@@steveng2504 facts bro
If I had to pick a trick to do on this, I would've done a fakie big flip. It's my go to trick. Always get it on first try.
Man dave’s kickflip is a work of art…. Also it is so disappointing to know that joslin was capable of rolling away from a tre bomb, would’ve easily been te very gnarliest thing to ever go down that set
That one guy that jumped from the roof into the where the stairs where on a bike is pretty nuts 😅
putting a good lipslide above an absolute perfect back tail is just...oof.
Outa line
He was the first to hit the rail - have to give respect and know that he led the revolution of hitting tgst spot
that part was iconic
Ryan Decenzos hardflip attempts deserve credit
this is why you dont fk with skaters, they're fearless
Think that switch 180 number 9 was the best Honestly
That 3 second black sabbath riff makes this video lmao
what was the song for the intro 0:01
clive dixon nollie noseblunt was epic
What about Chris joslen and the 360 flip
Front lip ahead of front crook?
Классно!👍
