I never was good with heel flips of any kind or Nollies. i been skating for 35 years(im 50) and accepted in 1991 i wasn't ever gonna evolve heel flips or nollies. ~~I also accpeted htis w/ Blunt(nose & tail slides) but actually enjoed frontside alot. And still enjoy em to this day.

It's funny I actually do that trick alot in S.K.A.T.E. I learned bigspins in every direction normal and switch, and honed in on switch back bigspin because its the most awkward for other people. So its almost an automatic letter for them, plus my board doesn't need to flip so I can land it like 9 times out of 10.
I feel like this was the first time I’ve seen the red flag being used in the right time, and it just added another layer to a great battle. This game made me so happy

As someone born in the late 80s, growing up skating in the late 90s-early 00s, this was nostalgic AF to watch. And to see that P-Rod still hasn't lost a beat after all these years has gained me that much more respect for the man ✊🏾

When you miss the pop on nollie varial it over rotates a bit, it usually happens when u have done a nollie 360 flip before but no, nollie varial flip, just need a few tries to adjust the pop.
P rod is one of the only Skaters who makes me want to Skate Flatground and actually practice my bag of Tricks the way he sets up and Lands is so inspiring. Awesome game
I know this is weird but I had a homie who’s parents never let him leave his house or street so we’d skate flat only and all they skated was flat for years but damn when he first hit the streets he was landing nollie tres and double kickflip 2nd try he was goated probably cause of all the flat
Most of the time when a high level game a skate is played, I cant relate... but this game with some impossible tricks that I could never do, I saw two skateboarders who were having fun, so much fun that they, the crowd and myself were all smiling because of the pure LOVE of skateboarding! Thank you !!!
This was probably the best first round the positivity for both opponents and all around the tricks and sportsmanship was unbelievable well done by both! Love battle of the berrics!

OMG! As an older skateboarder I was stressed at the beginning for PROD battling against Nyjah, but boy he's INVINCIBLE! Best game of this season so far!

My face actually hurts from smiling so much, dang that was awesome. I can’t believe Nyjah hit that Nollie Late flip. PRod clearly couldn’t either, I had to rewatch his reaction a few times haha.
Now this was a battle. The best game so far. Heart pounding throughout the game. Prod managed to stay calm despite getting too many letters. But Nyjah held on well till the last second. Even defended against Prod death blow. That's INSANE!
This was a real treat for us, two legends going head to head. It's crazy I noticed when Nyjah does his tricks he always has his front foot set up real high on the board in the same spot for almost every trick but then like a split second before he pops he moves it to where he needs it for whatever trick he is doing. Such a good game!
oh man, the energy was so good, this is gonna be one of my fav battles of all time, not only the back2back tricks, but also the whole energy, the respect for each other, the crowd, and also the battle itself wasn't too long, it was just perfect timing in every sense.

Man i love this, regardless of winning or losing everyones smiling and having fun. This is what skateboarding is about.
Now this was a battle. The best game so far. Heart pounding throughout the game. Prod managed to stay calm despite getting too many letters. But Nyjah held on well till the last second. Even defended against Prod death blow. That's INSANE!
as much as i love both of these guys, PRODS tricks are soooo much cleaner than nyjahs its like perfection on everything he does

This was a real treat for us, two legends going head to head. It's crazy I noticed when Nyjah does his tricks he always has his front foot set up real high on the board in the same spot for almost every trick but then like a split second before he pops he moves it to where he needs it for whatever trick he is doing. Such a good game!

I noticed that too. He likes to reposition his front foot at the last moment. Interesting muscle memory.
I think it’s because he’s used to skating big stuff really fast so that foot positioning is better for balance when going fast

oh man, the energy was so good, this is gonna be one of my fav battles of all time, not only the back2back tricks, but also the whole energy, the respect for each other, the crowd, and also the battle itself wasn't too long, it was just perfect timing in every sense.
I was thinking the same thing. I was cheering while watching. I don't typically get that much into videos, but i've been watching these guys for over 15 years now and this was a hell of a game of skate.
