Tbh a lot of first party Wii U games have this problem. Xenoblade X with the map, Splatoon with the superjump color splash in general etc. Like I'd rather just hit a button and see the map than have to look up and down whenever I want to know where I was. It works on the DS systems since the screens are right next to each other but on the Wii U it's just annoying to me. The game pad being uncomfortable and having bad battery life really doesn't help id rather just play with a pro controller
Not all that different from 2 screen DS's. Except your eyes will have to zoom out whenever you switch the view and your head probably needs to move, unless you have the gamepad leaning against your upward pointing knees or something. Never liked DS either, especially the whole playing with a pen aspect. Yeah there's thumb "pen" but it sucks.

Mario Kart 8 for Wii U is so memorable for me, I played it a lot, beat all the Grand Prix in all race classes, had 20K race points and 10k battle points online, and just had a fun time whenever I picked it up. A couple of favorite courses are cloudtop cruise, rainbow road, and electrodrome.

This was just 30 minutes of a guy making up things to talk about to make up time so he could complain about battle mode I love how I spend my time on youtube
3 particular things that I remember from this game: -The level design of the tracks; -The soundtrack; -The tricks called "Fire hopping" & "Demon slide" and this is where the game splits in two parts: the pro players that are constantly using these "bugs" (I don't know, I'm still thinking that these tricks aren't so normal) and the players that don't care about learning these things. These tricks were so easy to learn, except for the second one, and If you didn't want to learn, you would have been at a big disadvantage against these pro players, even online... Thank god that they removed these tricks on MK8 Deluxe, but hey, at least, it was fun learning these ones, even If I thought that these ones weren't allowed to do.
With those tricks removed, MK8 Deluxe turned into a giant yawnfest. There are literally no advanced strategies of any kind in 150cc. Only 200cc is a challenge.

In fact, I put everytime Mute City & Big Blue to make the gaming experience different, like If I'm playing a F-ZERO game. 200cc it's really a good challenge that keep me on playing it and to improve myself too.
Ah, freshman year in high school. Only thing I remember was being absolutely hyped for this game for the entire year. I could barely focus in the second semester with how close the game was to releasing.
I hate battle mode on the switch , I dunno exactly why....if it's the size of the tracks the number of players....it sucks. N64 had the best battle mode....or GameCube. But it's just gotten worse since then .

Mario Kart 8 for Wii U is so memorable for me, I played it a lot, beat all the Grand Prix in all race classes, had 20K race points and 10k battle points online, and just had a fun time whenever I picked it up. A couple of favorite courses are cloudtop cruise, rainbow road, and electrodrome.

One of them is literally Madden 09 for the DS.
3 particular things that I remember from this game:
-The level design of the tracks;
-The soundtrack;
-The tricks called "Fire hopping" & "Demon slide" and this is where the game splits in two parts: the pro players that are constantly using these "bugs" (I don't know, I'm still thinking that these tricks aren't so normal) and the players that don't care about learning these things.
These tricks were so easy to learn, except for the second one, and If you didn't want to learn, you would have been at a big disadvantage against these pro players, even online...
Thank god that they removed these tricks on MK8 Deluxe, but hey, at least, it was fun learning these ones, even If I thought that these ones weren't allowed to do.
With those tricks removed, MK8 Deluxe turned into a giant yawnfest. There are literally no advanced strategies of any kind in 150cc. Only 200cc is a challenge.

In fact, I put everytime Mute City & Big Blue to make the gaming experience different, like If I'm playing a F-ZERO game.

I hate battle mode on the switch , I dunno exactly why....if it's the size of the tracks the number of players....it sucks. N64 had the best battle mode....or GameCube. But it's just gotten worse since then .
