Also, if you've not already have a go on the Raceroom Raceway GP track. It is a super fun layout with classic vibes, elevation shifts, and mix of fast and slow corners. The 90's DTMs, Group 5s, Cs are right at home there.
2:35 I'm sure you already noticed by now but the full name of the track is Fliegerhorst Diepholz, German for 'Diepholz Military Airfield', it's two directly below AVUS in this zoom in
Yes, agree on your thoughts about the quality of the driving feel with RRE. The cars have weight to them and they model the physics of suspension so well. It's fantastic. BTW, been following your channel for a bit and you're doing a great job with real talk and feedback. Please set up a RRE race session! Will join ya'll for the first time. Gotta be a way to do it.
@@pencilthinker thank you so much for the support. It’s good to hear good feedback from viewers. It really motivates me. I’m looking into some info on starting the server soon. Will keep yall posted!!! 💯
I only rarely play racing sims, but I have tried multiple, from Assetto Corsa and ACC, to rFactor 2, Automobilista 2, to Project Cars 1 & 2. And RaceRoom just is my favourite. It doesn't have all the features that some competitors might have, but the driving, how the car is immersive and communicated through visual, audio and force feedback is just so much better than other sims. It's a joy to drive in RaceRoom and it is criminally underrated. What I noticed is that the Madness Engine used in Project Cars 2 and the current version of Automobilista 2 *before* update 1.6 (which is supposed to massively improve physics, looking forward to that!) give me the feeling of driving on ice. The tires just have way too little grip, it feels borked and completely unintuitive to me. And it's interesting to me that you have the same issue with RaceRoom that I have: There's just no difference in lights on vs. lights off, it seems they need to work on the illumination of the environment. EDIT: I just learned on their Discord that the somewhat dated engine uses a single light source and headlights flashing is basically faked. I guess, at least that's great for performance. :)
Awesome announcements. I need to get back and try out RaceRoom Racing game again. Be interesting to see how the new updates look with my Quest 3 VR headset. I used to race in a private league many years ago, but now don't have the time for online racing in leagues. Thanks for this video and take care.
I really hope RaceRoom fills in the rest of the DTM classes in the game. They have a couple of Mercedes cars but don't have the cars that they raced against. I may not be the biggest DTM fan, but damn... Raceroom getting all the cars and tracks that ever been in DTM would be awesome. That said, I am looking forward to the upcoming Lamborghini and McLaren DTM (GT3) cars too. The game does look awesome now.
Great video as always bro, I downloaded the game but just before I was thinking of purchasing anything I asked myself why should I if I already have access to most of the content in another sim? Also, like you said do I want to invest in a game just to play by myself? I’m not fully sold yet!!! Help me out guys. Lol 😂

Yeah I figured it out. Realized there was a search bar at the top 🤦🏾♂️
I'm really digging the new update , good video bro 👊
Yeah me too

I like what you said about playing RRE on Sunday's.
I wish they have that 24 hour Le Mans track.
Agreed. Also hypercars

Fliegerhorst Deipholz is what the new track is under.
I just realized there was a search bar at the top of the selection screen. I feel dumb 😂

Unfortunately, the damage is just minor in my opinion. On the other side, it's a good thing.😄

@@ewsimracing bro I’m looking into creating a server to get the races going on Sunday. I’ll keep you posted
🔥🔥🔥
FLIEGERHORST DIEPHOLZ is the correct name 4 rows down 2 rows across on track select screen, have you tried the 2016 audi rs5 DTM cars with drs?
Yep I found it
Why there is a Lamborghini at the front, is it under development?
It will be released together with the DTM 2024 package
ACC better :)
