Hello, RR dev here! As you mentioned, you could change the angle in the steer settings in the Simagic software manually, as it unfortunately doesn't update automatically, as it would for most other wheels in RR. If you match this angle setting to the setup of the car, the steering should line up and feel correct at 50% steering sensitivity (50% is default and 'normal' linear steering). We hope we can work with Simagic to get the automatic angle adjustment working, so it just works and feels great out of the box :) Until then, your higher steering sensitivity can help. Just be aware that it is not really a 'fix' and more of a workaround, which comes with its own issues. For one, the steering won't be linear anymore, the game will count the first 25% you steer as 50% input (which is why it helps your understeer), but that also means you have to steer the full additional 75% after that to get to 100% steering. The second potential issue is that older cars often have much higher steering ranges, even up to 900 degrees. For those cars your steering will actually line up with your simagic settings, so 100% sensitivity will feel way too sharp. You could counteract this by lowering the steering lock to the same value around 16 as most modern race cars in the setup, then they will behave similarly. Small sidenote: Making the dash/motec screens match the real life ones is very high up on our list as well, unfortunately there are just some big roadblocks in our game engine we have to work on before we can do that!

Newbie in RR here. Steering sensitivy was 50% default, changed it to 100%. Had time only for quick test but it was totally different which makes sense. Thank you!

Being that I’m 53 with a late start in Sim Racing my patience is not as good as the young racers. I’ve seen other Sim racer’s video and it has made some noticeable change but Your video…. was actually perfect for what I’ve been trying to educate myself on. Looking forward to more of your videos!

Thanks for this. I been playing RRE for years, but put it down a couple updates ago because of understeer. Hope this fixes it for me as well because noone wants to hear it on the forums😅

Be careful that you have sharpening set to 1, might as well set it to 0, then you save on performance as you're at the moment processing sharpening for close to no visual difference.
