For feeding the yarn through the smaller beads you can use a needle threader, that thing that seems a coin with a wire loop, you know what I mean?, instead of finding a needle thin enough to pass through the bead... Also, with that thingy you don't spoil your yarn and your patience trying to pass it through the needle hole... Thank you for the tip, Denise! Nice idea! Greetings from Spain!
I have not looked in a few years,I find it extremely relaxing.Thank you so much for explaining how to jazz up my next project... I can not wait to purchase my beads!
THANK YOU! My Mom was an awesome knitter and used beads and sequins at times. Unfortunately I didnt pay close attention at the time on how she did it. So glad you made this video!
I use a needle with and thread, tie it so there's a loop, then put the yarn thread and put your beads through that way. Im using pretty small beads with #1 yarn ona 1/4 gauge loom. I hope this helps? There's a video i watch, and it really helped me with my miniature project.
There's something called a 'big eye beading needle' that is eye for most of its length, while still being quite narrow. It's small enough to fit seed bead (size 10 or 11) and because it's mostly eye, it will fit least a 4 or 5 yarn.
Hi, it's 2024! lol. But I always follow your tutorials. Right now, the weighted, pony bead crocheted blanket has come back, and Im trying to figure out how to loom knit one. I understand that I would need to string all the beads onto the yarn first. However, do you recommend a type of stitch that i could use that makes the blanket look nice and fluffy? Would it be an e wrap, or, something else? thank you!!
Ur such a TALENTED KNITTER AND A LIFE SAVER...UR MY GO TO..AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING U DO..I TRULY APPRECIATE THE VIDEOS INSTRUCTIONS..THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO AND DONE...
I used to add beads to my four peg spool knit bracelets and my rule is always load more beads on to the yarn than you think you will need. If you don't use the extra it is simple enough to dangle the end of the yarn into the container and slide them off. But if you don't slide enough onto the yarn before you start the project and then run out you're out of luck. Lesson learned the hard way. PS. I think it is easier to start with just one size and color bead - that makes it simple - you only have to worry about the number and not a pattern. 😏
Have you turned on the subtitles in the settings? I know that sometimes the auto subtitles can be inaccurate for some words, but Denise speaks so clearly I rarely find errors in the subtitles.

I'd like to add beads to chemo caps to give it a little extra something. Maybe on the brim.
Huh. And here I was doing it the hard way, by sewing them on in post. XD
I did the same for a while and in some cases that is still the better or easier choice
I was fixing to do that but I am gonna try this first..
What are some good projects to add beads to?
Beads can be added to loom knit hair scrunchies, doll skirt / dress /hats or bracelets including the wider cuff style bracelet.

Yeah but I’m not so good with coming up with new ideas so what do I make with this technique
So, we could possibly do this for the eyes for the previous toy projects?
Yes but I still prefer the safety eyes or sewing with embroidery - this one kind of leaves a little space between the bead and the yarn
Suupeerrr
Can I add sequins to my loom knot hat?
Yes - this works for any project
Big eyed needles perfect.

So I guess you'd better have ALL the beads prepped on the yarn.
Yep - you got it my friend ! It can be a pain in the b*#@ - but that's the way it is for us loomers .....
