OUR STORY SO FAR:
We are Cory & Kristen Williams and in August 2014 we made the long drive from Southern California to Alaska to move into our new home in Eagle River. Here we’ve had the chance to explore Alaska, experience lots of wild events, meet lots of great people and endure the extreme temperatures that the north is known for. On December 23rd, 2014 we got engaged after our Polar Plunge under the Northern Lights then later married by our favorite lake on May 23rd, 2015. Then on June 23rd, 2016 we had our first child. A baby girl named Chell.

Yeah, it's very important to show her lots of love like this early on. We do love vlogging but family comes first and it's good to have time to ourselves to bond.

Glad to see you're relishing that 'boring' (where you're just doing the day to day family stuff but still definitely the most precious moments) time with Chelle & Kristen, instead of trying to seek adventure and look for things to do for the sake of a vlog. You'll only get these moments with her once, so cherish them all. Adventures will be aplenty in no time :)

Purple caw took her sweet time coming to Alaska.
I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed this out already, but the smile she's giving you is definitely a social smile, not a reflexive smile. She's exhibiting it pretty early, too. My daughter started truly smiling at six weeks, and when she smiled at her pediatrician, he confirmed that it's a real smile. Even that was ahead of what's typical. So, good for you guys!
I think it's real too. She seems to do it a lot more these days.

When you have a newborn, days revolve around eating, pooping and sleeping. It's a phase, so enjoy it while you can (and can binge watch you're fave series - I so miss that). There is plenty time to Get Back Out There. Also, when no. 2 hopefully comes around you'll be too busy to do the newborn 'holiday' you had first time. Just chill with Chell. You won't regret it 😊

It sure seems that as Chell grows passed her first month, she's becoming more self aware as her mind continues to develop.
Chell smiling always gets me. So incredibly adorable. When she was fussing and Kristen said you're adorable, it almost sounded like she fussed uh uh (obviously I know she isn't speaking yet).
Such a cute video. Loved seeing Chell smiling with momma! One thing that happened to me (and my daughter) when she was a wee babe was she managed to get one of my hair wrapped around her finger very tightly. I didn't notice it until the next feeding, so it was a couple hours and by that time her fingertip was really red and the hair was very tightly wrapped. Just a heads-up cuz ya, that's a thing too! *Sigh* All these "things" to learn about, haha. Glad you had a lovely relaxing day - looks like things are calming down and becoming more enjoyable for you guys. Couldn't be more happy about that! xoxox Heather
