To point out for you while Azeroth autopilot is effectively dead some new people took over it and its now called Azeroth pilot reloaded and it has been updated for dragonflight.
That's right, as a matter of fact APR was still in testing/final debugging all the way up to within an hour of the launch of Dragonflight, a testament to the hard work of the dev team, there was a LOT of work to do there. I've been using it since it was ConsLegions back in the day.
I know the event just ended but Timewalking dungeon grind was insane exp rates. Clearing the dungeon in around 8 minutes with 90k exp rewards was unbeatable
I was surprised as hell to see that the Timewalking bonus xp was about 50% more than the Dragonflight bonus xp. And considering how super easy and undertuned the WoD dungeons were, it was quick, easy, simple to level.
Get 3-4 cleared in less than 10 minutes, then come upon the one with the goddamn trains and even if you manage, be there for half an hour. I think I'll skip wod tw for leveling.
Leveled an alt last week during Timewalking, took about a day, will level another alt in two weeks when TW comes around again. Best way to level up plus getting some gear along the way.
Bell, normally, I praise your videos, and always get a lot out of what you have to say, but I’ve got to say this time your video left me shaking my head. Your tag says level your alts, 60 to 70 under two hours, but you didn’t really give too many options on how to level your character is you more talked about reputation to be honest so I’m trying to understand how I can take a new fresh 60 alt and level it to 70 just on the little information that you provided.
The only way to level in under two hours is by paying someone to boost you in the Cobalt Assembly. Its about an hour for 60-70 give or take depending on the method used and the person doing the boosting.
Did you actually watch the video? He mentions three methods: Cobalt Assembly mob farming, pulling mobs to guards and Azeroth Auto Pilot addon plus you can gain a level while leveling professions. Sure it's not all the methods but it's not like he gave zero info.
Another very good option is waiting for a time walking week: Fast dungeons, easy to do and you can get relevant gear to start at 70... You need like 23 dungeons to complete to get from 60 to 70
This is how I leveled my Drac'thyr the last couple days. I figured I'd quest between dungeon queues popping but they were popping so fast that I could barely do much more than mine/herb in between. It was great and really quick relatively speaking

He came out with this video too late. WoD time walking was MASSIVELY undertuned, and every run gave half a level or more and was completed in a few minutes. I got three alts from 60-70 in no time just doing WoD TW.
Despite the undertuning.. I saw a wipe. An ignorantly aggressive tank and a healer not healing lead to funs; The healer then ran away. New healer maybe. Good times mostly rushing alts :D Why this vid lands after it ends is beyond me.
While AAP is dead, it has been continued by some other people and is updated, just under the name Azeroth Pilot Reloded (APR), so no fear if that was a way that you liked to level
Alt Army.. I wish. I'm struggling to keep active on a single alt. I appreciate all of the alt friendly stuff in DF, but ultimately there's one big flaw. The gameplay experience is exactly the same as I went through on my main. There's no choice to impact the path. Personally I wish they'd made the renown grinds longer (or more renown levels) BUT made them account-wide so as I play alts I still can enjoy making progress instead of feeling like I'm retreading the same path. Even just making the current renown system account wide would be more fun to me, as my alts could be working on the paragon renown reward bags if I am already at max, which is at least something new.
The renown grind is unending if you just pvp like me and have very limited time to play. This guide seems to be based on having things ill never have ;)
I've had fun focusing mostly on professions for my alts. There are a few weakauras that track the weekly profession point items, so you know whether to bother with explorer's packs/disturbed dirt, and what kind of mobs to kill for those sweet sweet knowledge points. Usually there will be one or two reps that give recipes that will help you level your professions, so as you fly around looking for prof point items, you can also do whatever WQs give you the right rep and/or gear upgrades. It's not nearly as fast as what you've described, but it feels efficient because you're doing most of the stuff with rested XP. Plus it has the nice benefit that you can use your alts' spark to circlejerk everyone's profession leveling.
I really don't feel like leveling alts this expansion. I mean, I probably will eventually, but I just want to play my main and that's it right now. I guess I burned myself out playing 15 alts last expansion. Right now I just have one alt leveled, a holy priest. Probably all I'm gonna have as an alt for a while.
I want to level a bunch of characters but I don’t want to feel like I need to do the weekly profession quests cause they suck and I will absolutely feel that compulsion. I’m already burned out since launch so I have a weird problem
@BottledDelusion I honestly haven't really touched professions much other than selling mats, so I guess I've been lucky. Overall, I've also had a very casual approach to things. I've been doing everything I can to NOT get burnt out. Alts to me are just a fun way to shake up gameplay. I don't grind as hard on them in comparison to my main
Also worth noting once you hit max renown with any faction on your main, the weekly 500 rep per faction becomes account bound and can be sent to your alt to give them 1500 rep with each faction and clear their rep requirement instantly
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the weekly stuff to do on all my alts (one of each class), especially since I wanna rare hunt and a lot of them spawn at the same time as the Siege and the Feast... But it's really nice that you can do all these end game systems (aside from the obsidian throne) at lower levels. I'm basically just casually leveling up my alts by doing the weekly quests for Renown and resources, and I think that's cool. No more rush to max level.
I don’t know the name off the top of my head but there’s an npc you can talk to in hebwaling shores that will let you start doing Obsidian Throne quests at level 60 on a fresh alt
Instead of Azeroth Auto Pilot, use Azeroth Pilot Reloaded, seems like the dude who made the original AAP stopped during SL so the other one works, does the exact and looks the exact same.
lol, get to renown 20... as if there were enough content to make that possible. I've spent more time in Shadowlands doing old content for mounts and mogs than I have in Dragon Isles doing current content because there's literally nothing to do once you've done your "weekly" (which only takes about an hour at the very most) and a few world quests since they have 5-7 day timers on them and don't ever change. Great work, blizz, you're really giving everyone a reason to stay.
They could increase the rewards and the difficulty of the rares to make people socialize more in outdoors with other players. The more interactive you make the game, the better. It is also a good way to manage waiting times for dungeons, mythic plus, etc. Even if this were extended to old areas that rotate periodically, you take better advantage of the old content and the game doesn't get boring after a few months because there are a lot of expansions. Everything that can integrate the old content making it very useful to equip your character will improve the game experience a lot and it will make the game less boring and monotonous than if you limit it to only going through the new areas, which you will get bored of after a few months.

In my case i'm just parking alts at soups and doing those to get free xp from killing the mobs that attack the soup all while getting reputation buffs for standing around or string the pot;

There is no point in having max level alts this expansion. They don't contribute to anything. There are no covenant quest type of thing that you can get gold.
Whoah, Bellular making gameplay content. My tip: Renown gear doesn't have level requirements. I got 379 gear on my level 65 rogue. It's a nice little easter egg of the system. For crafters, The reputation and profession of your alt is way more valuable than your character level or gear score anyway.
How about a thoughtful talent tree for alts? For people that do not PvP, raids and dungeons? Just a talent tree for the different specs for solo players? Be nice!! It is hard to come by useful content for the great many of us that just do not like dungeons, raids or PvP.
kind of wish we got a new battlegrounds where we have to use our dragons to reach certain places and cap a flag or w.e or they should add pvp dragon racing lol
I think I know why WoW has felt distant to me over the years. "Gamifying leveling". You shouldn't have to make a part of the game fun. That's the developers job.
I came back on wow season start of season.. just saw all my toons nerfed. . Just pick one lvl to 70. Did not payatention to storyline, skipe cuts senescence.. learned about the renown stuff, and only unlock valktraden and dragon, and centers. ... mole, not unlock and fish people still locked.
This guy is 100% getting paid by blizzard. Trying to beat your own speed levleing route is like classic noobs trying to parse better on a boss where right-clicking it does the job just fine. Ppl like that should just go do Mythic raiding/M+ or PvP if they want to improve and not remain noobs.
Since release I have yet to get Tuskarr up to level 10 even. Just not a fan of their activities and the type of world quests they offer. Never around when that damn soup is being made either, fact its on a specific timer is a bummer, like be there at that time, or dont come.
still technically not great to play given that shadowlands wasn't great to play... and dragonflight made no changes... but this is why the problem persists. Somehow getting worse = getting better in the wow community's eyes.

this is one of the reasons i quit wow. yes you might have more content and more classes to play but it also makes leveling feel like 70 hours of time gating. (in combination with generic world quests and some other changes wow got in the last years)
Its good to just get an alt to 70 for the professions or easier old expansion content grind. Levels have long been unfit for purpose when so much content suddenly unlocks for a character on max level. But comitting anything more to actually playing those alts can still be pretty fiddly. For that, I gotta be either unemployed or brainwashed to the point of thinking wow is the only decent game out there (or both). I also didnt expect how short they stopped on the accountwide front when I decided to main same class character but on the opposite faction (but thats a slightly different topic from the alt levelling itself).
Hey Bellular, i have a problem with "Funding a Treasure Hunt" quest unlock. Ive done it on my main and there is no possible way to unlock it on my alts tho ive read that it should be Account Wide and not Character Bound. Also tried purchasing the Artifact Notes from Cataloger Jakes, did not change anything. Any ideas or solutions?

You can fill out Dragonriding in your main city. I do it before hitting the airship to the Isles.

Ya, I got multiple alts to 70 doing nothing but TW... even DPS queues were super short.

AZEROTH PILOT RELOADED IS THE REPLACEMENT FOR AAP!!!
Just make sure you have a friend that plays DH to boost you at cobalt. When you're doing it right, you get a level every 10 minutes.

I leveled all my alts except for shammy with the help of friends in the azure span. Its way 2ez to level. You don't have to do anything.

Definitely worth at 61 getting gear from the AH, getting cheap enchants and consumes as well, adds a lot of stats
Not always. Few days ago, check AH for wilder bags. 900g for 3-5days

What was the point of mentioning the BFA exp boost draughts? They're pointless past level 50 and has nothing to do with DF.
Side note, Bellular worded you can start getting rep with Cobalt Embassy at 68, but it starts at 60. I got my 389 ring at 67.

Leveling is easy - it's the rep that I'm struggling with.

Since release I have yet to get Tuskarr up to level 10 even. Just not a fan of their activities and the type of world quests they offer. Never around when that damn soup is being made either, fact its on a specific timer is a bummer, like be there at that time, or dont come.
I did alts in SL, but only to get them to max, the end game was just the same boring grind it has been.

With some scrip magic you can open (and apply) the dragon riding glyphs/talents on your alt before going to the isles (usefull ? Probably not)

still technically not great to play given that shadowlands wasn't great to play... and dragonflight made no changes... but this is why the problem persists. Somehow getting worse = getting better in the wow community's eyes.

12 minutes just to ramble on before eventually saying "Watch X person's video" next time you should lead with that. Not everyone wants to sit here for 12 minutes just to get to the point.
i dinged 70 on an alt unknowingly while leveling up tailoring. wasn’t even my intention, just got bored with running dungeons and questing so i started leveling up crafting skills.

this is one of the reasons i quit wow. yes you might have more content and more classes to play but it also makes leveling feel like 70 hours of time gating. (in combination with generic world quests and some other changes wow got in the last years)

BEST PVP EXPANSION EVER, gear wise is just SOOOOOO GOOD! i never played this much since i started back in 2005.
Its good to just get an alt to 70 for the professions or easier old expansion content grind. Levels have long been unfit for purpose when so much content suddenly unlocks for a character on max level. But comitting anything more to actually playing those alts can still be pretty fiddly. For that, I gotta be either unemployed or brainwashed to the point of thinking wow is the only decent game out there (or both). I also didnt expect how short they stopped on the accountwide front when I decided to main same class character but on the opposite faction (but thats a slightly different topic from the alt levelling itself).

Hey Bellular, i have a problem with "Funding a Treasure Hunt" quest unlock. Ive done it on my main and there is no possible way to unlock it on my alts tho ive read that it should be Account Wide and not Character Bound. Also tried purchasing the Artifact Notes from Cataloger Jakes, did not change anything. Any ideas or solutions?
