The first time I worked with foam six years ago I felt really lost and had no idea how to shape it effectively. Your videos will be a massive help in my future projects, so many thanks!

    as a fellow sculptor and styrofoam carver, i really admire that you always say "there is no right or wrong way or wrong tool, everybody carve differently". usually people tends to think their way is only right way and teaches less experienced people wrong things.

    Excellent video as always. Thanks for taking the time to make it. I know you dont have time to do requests but could you incorporate a short piece about the yellow foam often used for architectural embellishments on movies in a future Materials of Sculpture video? XPS foam I think. Never used it myself. All the best.

    I have found a bread knife is my go-to ps butcher mate. And rifflers are 🧑‍🍳👄. The idea with sandpaper over a block for curves is genius and I shall have to try it. I don't have any commissions right now, so I might as well practice new techniques 😅 Stupid pandamick

    Aden, this is Dave from California. What ever happened to your Hot Wire Foam Factory tools? I thought you had one of our 32-Inch Industrial Hot Wire Routers that allows you to shape the blade to make negative cuts. You really should have one of our 4-Foot Bow cutters, too. Safer and more convenient than what you've rigged up there.

    • @AdenHynesSculptureStudios
      @AdenHynesSculptureStudios  2 роки тому

      Hey guys. We certainly do have the tools here at the workshop. Now that we're getting a little more up and running again after covid, we're going to be putting together a couple more of these videos. The next video will include our Hot Wire table, and the tools that you guys kindly sent over to us from the US. Hopefully, as this video has gone down so well, the next one that includes your product will hopefully get a bit of interest for you. We'll naturally leave links to your page in the video description too. Stay tuuuuuned!

    Hi, Aden & the team. Absolutely loving this content and all the hard work involved. I work in the builders merchants directly opposite your workshop in Basildon. If there’s anything I can do to help, just pop in and I’m sure I can sort something out for you.
    P.s. The lovely young lady popped by the other day during storm Eunice for a solid dense block and she passed over a business card and told me about the channel. So glad she did, I’m just gutted I never got her name 🥲
