      In addition why complain about the trunk ability to stack a bag when you know that would change the style of the car. Once you mentioned this and compared the trunk space to a Nissan Sentra perhaps you could have shown a picture of that care noting that cars higher decklid. Which probably looks high and goofy!

From the side, it's still the same as the previous version, while the back is actually still very elegant and restrained. Meanwhile, the front is just a crazy gaping maw. I think a lot of Toyotas suffer from this design strategy. In every other way it's a vanilla car, but in order to make it seem more exciting, they tack on an over-styled, aggressive front end. • @DanUtley
      @DanUtley 5 років тому

      Craig Emslie I haven’t heard of any DCT being greatly reliable. It looks like the best choices are manual in first place, and the old slush box is second, followed by CVT and DCT, respectively. Toyota has good CVTs, but the general design philosophy of a DCT seems very problem prone. They seem to either be fine, or grenade themselves with violent shifting. Can’t be good lol.

    Hey buddies! Get the Forte GT and thank me later (if in general badge is not a prob for you). GT is the higher trim of Forte Model with more functional and user friendly features (i.e. safety plus, suspension, driving feel) compared with its’ counterpart Hyundae Elantra Sport in Canada! Tho both cars got the same HP, Forte GT is lill bit expensive I reckon. I own a 2020 4 Doors Forte GT with automatic DCT and I believe only Civic SI (comes with manual T ‘more engaging’, I do love SI~3K more than Forte GT; HP 205 but in practical Forte GT can reach 0-60 mph shoulder to shoulder) would able to compete against Forte GT within the economic, fuel efficient sporty or grand touring, sleeper and/or small sedan classes of car (~30K CAD). If you are a guy who want a lill faster car than regular point A to B drive sedans, I suggest you then compare the following cars with Forte GT in-terms of HP, pricing, interest rate (if needed), features, int and ext design, any trade-in equity (especially if there is any negative owe amount, I found Kia’s customer service is top notch in SK) and warranties before you buy one (reliability and resale value of Corolla and Civic are higher than Forte or Hyundae Elantra- I personally believe; I had both Honda and Toyota Cars in past, but Kia and Hyundae are not so far from there, and they are changing the game these days and will continue doing this):
    Forte GT vs Civic SI vs Civic Touring vs Civic Sport
    Forte GT vs Corolla XSE
    Forte GT vs Mazda 3 Sport
    Forte GT vs Hyundae Sport
    Forte GT vs others
    And pick the one that suits you! For me it was 2020 Forte GT!
    BTW best of luck on your future car.

    We may forgive the redesign if they give us a N version of this model. And why not, they're off the same chassis? I hope they don't do this redesign to the Elantra GT.

    Beginning of the year these were heavily discounted so I went to test drive one. Honestly the drivetrain felt rickety like a used car. Even for $15,000 after discounts, I was not impressed or able to look past this.

    6MT is the most fun to drive ,better handling and control than the DCT, DCT doesn't know what to do sometimes plus is very slow to downshit , This DCT Transmision surfers from Parkinson disease in bumper to bumper traffic it will make you nauseous , i drove both and DCT is no bueno ,better give me a regular automatic, they do all this to improve fuel economy 2-3 miles/gallon,who cares ? gasoline in USA Is so cheap . BETTER buy the 2018 model is way better looking

    In addition to removing the manual option for 2020, IMO they completely ruined the front on this new one with the overstyled origami face. The previous gen looked so handsome: cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/nQRjG/s3/2017-hyundai-elantra-sport-review.jpg

    I personally think Hyundai ruined the styling, especially the wheels compared to the previous Sport, that had some of the nicest wheels at any price. The awkward and diverse angular design features front and rear, not to mention the huge Lexus like grill are inexcusable. At least it is still an outstanding value though.

    Great review as always Alex. I'm a Hyundai fan but I think they completely botched the exterior redesign with the refresh which is one of the worst of any car I can remember from recent memory (maybe the 2019 Chevy Camaro SS could go in that bucket too). I'm not sure what they were thinking with those sharp headlights. This thing is not going to age well.
