Erin, I just got this device and couldn't figure out how to take a reading. I searched everything they gave me and the app. Still couldn't figure it out. I was about to give up when I watched your video and you said to press the button a second time. Hallelujah it worked! Thank you soooooo much for your help. I will now be watching you and your videos!!

Hi, Erin. I saw somewhere in the internet that this app can export data into apple health app. Is it true or is it just a random info?

There is a recent firmware update that addresses the user selection process. I've had this device for at least a year now. I like it for what it is: a screening tool that lets me keep track of trends.

I work at an insurance companies that gives these out as part of a program. Someone called in last night that neither she nor her doctors could figure out how to use it. She couldn't get the programming, but she couldn't get the device itself. I wondered what is involved in using it. I frankly wouldn't be able to get this one button thing, and you press it, and then you "just" press it again, and long presses and short presses, and when presses. The display on the device isn't that intuitive either. And, I don't trust the fact that there is no device on the veins in the bend in the arm; it seems to get the pressure from the entire length of the arm? And I am wondering how tightly that device hanging off the front of the cuff can make contact with your arm.

    Great review, very clear.
However it overlooked one very important feature: the ability to take 3 readings in a row and get the average of the 3, which is the medically recommended way of taking accurate readings!
The Withings BPM Connect does allow this: When the screen displays "BP", press and hold the button on the BPM Connect until "BP x3" appears on the screen. Press the button again to start a measurement. In the "BP x3" mode BPM Connect will launch 3 blood pressure measurements in a row.
The interval between the readings can be adjusted in the app under "Measures Interval"...
    Hope this info helps.

It is easy to use the cuff for multiple people. After the BP is registered a name appears. If that is not the person, hold in the button and it will change to another name. If that name is correct release the button. Then press the button again and you should get a check mark that it was accepted.

Mine stop working! It won’t turn on or charge. Looks like you can’t contact them. Not great! I don’t think the app is easy to use. And took me a while to figure out how to save my readings.😂

Yes - Your video is a lifesaver - I think my blood pressure went up significantly trying to figure out where it appeared on their third-rate app - Thanks to your video I was able to find it! - I suspect that, consequently, my blood pressure went down! 😃

The most important question anyone should ask when it comes to measuring device - is it accurate. This question is not answered in this review. Thus it’s useless.

lol.. I also suspect that siting in front of camera will increase your bp :) the app seems very off to me.. I also realized the device does not keep log's without the app sync. AHHH I had blue tooth off all this time. EDIT: Ok so my phone don't see it in blue tooth..

I wish you would have reviewed integration with a few common health apps like Apple Health & Google Fit. As an Android user, I'm having trouble finding a reliable home BP monitor that can easily connect to Android via Bluetooth and seamlessly integrate with Google Fit. I've tried a few Omron products and I can't even get them to connect to Bluetooth on either a Pixel 3a or 4XL. Lots of comments verifying Omron doesn't like to connect to newer Androids.

the Withings Health Mate app syncs to Google Fit. So all Withings devices with sync to their app and that info is relayed to Google Fit.

You must have gotten a good unit then. I have three BP measurement devices, this one is by far the highest of those machines. My regular daily BP is 108/78. From day one, this Withings unit runs anywhere from a low of 156/99 up to 176/104 and everywhere in between. So I am horribly disappointed with the nearly $100 I spent for this thing. And with no returns to boot from buying at Amazon, I can't go out and purchase another one hoping it will work. I've even taken to my dr office and my other units match the dr office within one to two points. Not 60-70 points off. It's really too bad as I do like this unit. I hope others have success.

You need the app, to set up the machine. After set up you can use it as a stand alone machine.

No, you can't. I didn't know that and I just found out when it arrived, a very smart move on their side. It makes you dependable. What if they start charging you to use the app? Or sell your data? Or stop supporting it a few years from now. It will make your Withings BPM connect totally useless.... I am thinking of returning it.

    Thanks for your review.
The Withings BPM Connect device cannot be controlled from the app, and the dashboard is no help. Fail!
There is no translation of the limited and inscrutable read-out on the device, so the few visible characters on the device are completely opaque. What do they mean? Fail!
Why is there no instruction or explanation on the app? They get a FAIL on user interface and user experience!
I do not see a way to toggle between the single reading and triple reading option. Fail!
Overall, this is a frustrating and unusable device, MUCH worse than the previous version, which was more bulky, but also actually usable. Unfortunately, after several years of use, mine failed so i got the new one.
This new version is smaller but not usable. I do not recommend it at all.
    Buy something else.

Is there a way to leave it on and set it to track BP throughout the day? If I didn't already have a BP monitor I would think about it. But it doesn't look like having a rechargeable battery and tracking is much of an upgrade. My batteries last several months.

I tried this unit and found a lot of issues with it. Mainly, it reads high on blood pressure measurements. I got both the BPM connect and the Omron Platinum monitors and tried them side by side. The BPM Connect always gave a higher reading than the Omron. Also, only a 1 year warranty, but 2 years if you live in Europe? And there are no instructions on how to really use this device. You have to scroll through the web to carve out bits of info to figure out how to use various functions. The app is really nice, though and worked seamlessly. I had to spend a lot of time searching the web so I could do a factory rest before returning this item today. I really wanted to like this unit, but kept the Omron Platinum unit instead.

I had the prior version, which had a flaw. For those with a upper arm measurement of more than 36cm, the device would give off readings.
I have the new one she’s using and I will compare it to my doctors office reading tomorrow. Stay tuned.

I'm always interested in hearing what's out there, but this one doesn't tempt me. Aside from the downsides you mention, the white on white display would be a problem for people like my dad, whose eyesight is no longer the best. Plus the price is $262 in Canada! That's more than five times as much as an excellent BP monitor without an app :-(
