As a HUGE Rodney Mullen fan I totally agree with you. I WORSHIP Rodney. He's my god. I started freestyle skating in the 80's because of him. I also worship Lovebites (they're my favorite band) but even if they weren't I would still agree with you.
Being that the music is so good, sometimes hard to catch that it has very inspirational and uplifting lyrics. Lovebites EP ii will be released on August 28th with 5 new tracks. "Memorial for the Warrior Souls" which will be released as well on August 28 with 21 tracks live. They are keeping their alphabetical release protocol, now they are up to M.
I pre-ordered the blu-ray as soon as it was available. I want to have a full archive of these concerts, because they will go down in history as the benchmark for live performances. Yes, they have natural ability, but in fact they also practice like fiends.

This is a catchy metal tune with an uplifting and powerful message. I just read the comments and saw a comment recommending many, many of all these wonderful Japanese (female) Metal bands - and it's right to do so! But today I would strongly reccommend HGANES Tenka Goken - it's a pretty new song with a new lineup of the band with two new members (Junna and Nagi) who pushed the band onto a new level. In just two weeks they collected 250k views on UA-cam as a relatively "unknown" (to the world) band. It's really worthwhile to listen to them - promised! And, btw, Lovebites of course is simply somewhere on "the top of the mountain". I follow them already for years and was witnessing the time when Miho (their first bass player and co-founder of the band) left and for about one year they went on hiatus - leaving the fans anxious if the would ever come back. But then they found Fami in the audition process - and now everything is alright again.😀👍🤟❤

The last couple of years Asami has held a birthday show around Xmas, and in one of those shows she sings a version of "Rising" with just Miyako on piano (as you might already know, Miyako is a classically trained pianist since age 3). This intimate version of "Rising" has a whole different feel, but still fits perfect with the message (their lyrics often get glossed over but they're just as impactful as the instruments). The band is incredible without a doubt. They arent really a "new" band though. They have been active since 2017 and enjoyed success early on in Japan with sold out show after sold out show. They have 4 full albums and 2-3 mini ep's as well as their live dvd's,etc.... But in the West for the most part they are a new commodity in Metal. I expect the band too drop a new album before years end as well. They never stop working hard and it shows. Wolfpack!

I make no apologies for calling LOVEBITES the best of all time. Not greatest..best. I like your reactions to their music because you have mentioned, during the course of the whole series of LOVEBITES reactions at least one, sometimes more, of the attributes that make me quite happy to say “best”. Today it was something very few reactions actually articulate, and that is how, despite having a distinct style and a very identifiable sound, they make each version of that signature sound almost subliminally different to all others so that it’s wrong to call them boring or repetitive…though people have. One well known reaction channel probably won’t revisit LOVEBITES because he doesn’t like the style of Haruna’s drumming…per se, not just her. Yet they have released back to back tracks from the forthcoming BluRay and both have the insistent Haruna double kick. Far from being off putting it’s actually reassuring, and her endless repertoire of fills and cymbal accents make every track unique and her drumming almost hypnotic. They are not “a good Japanese metal band”, they are, for me, the best. Period. Great reaction as always. Observant, informed and on point.

If you like Lovebites, you should check another great metal band called Unlucky Morpheus. These two bands have something in common. If I remember correctly, UM's vocalist Fuki discovered and scouted Mao at a school festival long ago, and they played in a band together, the legendary Light Bringer. They are still best friends, but are currently both active in different metal bands. In "Five of a kind" concert at Zepp Diva City in 2020, the M&M guitar solo dual harmonies for this composition, they were only about 4ft apart. Now, this concert in 2023, they are so confident to execute it about 20-25 ft apart. I dont even dare bet against the fact that in the near future, Midori will be standing on the Balcony of a concert hall and on the extreme opposite balcony will be Miyako, both about 200ft apart and will reproduce a flawless repeat of the same dual harmony guitar solo in finesse.

Thanks for your reaction. 'Rising' is the first song with which my acquaintance began in LOVEBITES in the fall of 2020. Thanks to 'Rising', I became interested in this band. The next LOVEBITES song I heard was 'Thunder Vengeance'. After these two songs I started to get seriously interested in LOVEBITES.

As a HUGE Rodney Mullen fan I totally agree with you. I WORSHIP Rodney. He's my god. I started freestyle skating in the 80's because of him. I also worship Lovebites (they're my favorite band) but even if they weren't I would still agree with you.

Being that the music is so good, sometimes hard to catch that it has very inspirational and uplifting lyrics. Lovebites EP ii will be released on August 28th with 5 new tracks. "Memorial for the Warrior Souls" which will be released as well on August 28 with 21 tracks live. They are keeping their alphabetical release protocol, now they are up to M.
I pre-ordered the blu-ray as soon as it was available. I want to have a full archive of these concerts, because they will go down in history as the benchmark for live performances. Yes, they have natural ability, but in fact they also practice like fiends.

Some people say that it’s almost a crime or that it’s not fair that there’s so much talent in just one band. Yes, Lovebites is rising again. This is a catchy metal tune with an uplifting and powerful message. For a different side of them, I recommend “Edge of the world”, “Empty daydream”, “Epilogue”, “Liar”, “Spellbound”, “Dancing with the devil” (all live)
I honestly think with the amount of techniques and diversity I have heard from both of these women Yngwie Malmsteen can learn from them now 😂

I just read the comments and saw a comment recommending many, many of all these wonderful Japanese (female) Metal bands - and it's right to do so! But today I would strongly reccommend HGANES Tenka Goken - it's a pretty new song with a new lineup of the band with two new members (Junna and Nagi) who pushed the band onto a new level. In just two weeks they collected 250k views on UA-cam as a relatively "unknown" (to the world) band. It's really worthwhile to listen to them - promised! And, btw, Lovebites of course is simply somewhere on "the top of the mountain". I follow them already for years and was witnessing the time when Miho (their first bass player and co-founder of the band) left and for about one year they went on hiatus - leaving the fans anxious if the would ever come back. But then they found Fami in the audition process - and now everything is alright again.😀👍🤟❤

@@TJandTheGringa nobody really knows, they just parted ways after a lot of discussions and then they did the auditions and got Fami, We love both bassists, but Fami is getting a lot of love during the live shows as the audience is chanting her name when Asami says "let us introduce our new bassist". +1 for Hagane - TenkaGoten it is a brand new amazing song and the gremlin on the drums impresses as per usual (Junna who got famous with her Dragonforce cover)

And of course also the pre-releases „Rising“ and „We are the resurrection“, which was the opening track for this show.

The last couple of years Asami has held a birthday show around Xmas, and in one of those shows she sings a version of "Rising" with just Miyako on piano (as you might already know, Miyako is a classically trained pianist since age 3). This intimate version of "Rising" has a whole different feel, but still fits perfect with the message (their lyrics often get glossed over but they're just as impactful as the instruments). The band is incredible without a doubt. They arent really a "new" band though. They have been active since 2017 and enjoyed success early on in Japan with sold out show after sold out show. They have 4 full albums and 2-3 mini ep's as well as their live dvd's,etc.... But in the West for the most part they are a new commodity in Metal. I expect the band too drop a new album before years end as well. They never stop working hard and it shows. Wolfpack!
2017 is relatively new for a band imo. They are just getting cranking. Takes a while to build things up but they are well on their way . Cheers 🍻

I make no apologies for calling LOVEBITES the best of all time. Not greatest..best. I like your reactions to their music because you have mentioned, during the course of the whole series of LOVEBITES reactions at least one, sometimes more, of the attributes that make me quite happy to say “best”. Today it was something very few reactions actually articulate, and that is how, despite having a distinct style and a very identifiable sound, they make each version of that signature sound almost subliminally different to all others so that it’s wrong to call them boring or repetitive…though people have. One well known reaction channel probably won’t revisit LOVEBITES because he doesn’t like the style of Haruna’s drumming…per se, not just her. Yet they have released back to back tracks from the forthcoming BluRay and both have the insistent Haruna double kick. Far from being off putting it’s actually reassuring, and her endless repertoire of fills and cymbal accents make every track unique and her drumming almost hypnotic. They are not “a good Japanese metal band”, they are, for me, the best. Period. Great reaction as always. Observant, informed and on point.

Anyone saying Haruna's drumming is sub par or repetitive cant possibly have listened to more than a few tracks...and even then ...her style and diversity is ever changing.. shes a huge talent and an integral part of the amazing sound this band produces! I would argue rhat point with Anyone. I am not a drummer but have spent my life playing with many of them so I understand exactly what she is doing and how natural she looks doing it

If you like Lovebites, you should check another great metal band called Unlucky Morpheus. These two bands have something in common. If I remember correctly, UM's vocalist Fuki discovered and scouted Mao at a school festival long ago, and they played in a band together, the legendary Light Bringer. They are still best friends, but are currently both active in different metal bands. Mao is involved in about half of the songs in LOVEBITES, and Fuki is active as a vocalist in many bands, mainly UM.
