This is another masterpiece by Lovebites. Those guitars sing and cry and it showcases Asami’s vocals and she exudes so much emotion, and also nice piano. To me, the best power ballad of all time. Waiting for tomorrow (maybe “Glory to the world?)

Apropos fingerprints. I played guitar when I was younger, and that was only nylon stringed classic guitars. Still I remember the pain! When the finger tips was so sensitive that you could only touch something and the pain went all the way up to the left elbow. Eventually the skin almost turned to bone and it was all fine. The side of the right thumb also got hardened.

When you realize that you just can't get your attention away from something, then you _know_ that *art* is happening.

I think Miyako shows that is often the most introvert people that have the deepest souls and are the most emotional.

Now you understand why the E songs are held in such high esteem. This is, and has been from the actual day I discovered them, my favourite individual LOVEBITES performance. Now, go and listen to the studio version and see *why* the ending is so dramatic (hint, because they can’t fade out live). Also, I’m not sure that you have reacted to “Addicted” yet. If not, when you do react to it, pay close attention to the acoustic intro because Miyako reprised it at the opposite end of the album with the fade outro. This performance is also absolute proof that Asami leaves a piece of herself on every stage she stands on.

I went to all 4 of their US shows this year (all VIP) and all 5 of the ladies are so down to Earth. Miyako even recognized me from Twitter and such buying all of their merch and posting them. Lol. I was in awe meeting them in Atlanta and by the LA show was talking to them (the best you can when their English isn’t the greatest) as if I had known them for years. Such amazing people as well as amazing musicians.

Just a beautiful song, I totally admit that even though I am supposed to be a grown up old dude I ALWAYS cry like a baby to both guitar solos and especially to Midori's ending. When I was (much) younger Thin Lizzy were my band. I was lucky enoug to see them many times, and many times with Gary Moore. As fellow Wolfpacker @alastairmcintyre says Miyako shows her inner Gary so beutifully here. I'm absolutely sure he would have been so impressed and appreciative of her and LOVEBITES. I feel so freekin' blessed to have seen both these world class bands in my lifetime. Back tomorrow to give thanks!!

Lovebites Wednesday is always a great day, and now there will be a Lovebites Thanksgiving Thursday - awesome. I'm very curious which song it will be!

I saw Lovebites in the summer in Brussels and i will see them again on march 13th in Tokyo. It will be the third flying to concert from Germany to Japan. Saw Band-Maid twice in 2023(Tokyo and Yokohama)

This song always reminds me of the best 80s power ballads. Scorpions were huge in that area with plenty of amazing ballads and this just harks back to the best of the 80s! It's nice to see Midori play slow and emotional for once and not just put every fast guitarist out there in their place with her speed and accuracy 😀

This is such a perfect power ballad, a masterpiece, it is showcasing asami's greatness as a vocalist. It's a perfect song for a movie, when the character has no choice but to look back on what happened, they must change their ways and do the right thing, as they are at the precipice of their own demise. This song is playing while they recall their memories. The climax of the story, which pushes the character toward the resolution.

Midori and Miyako as individuals are amongst the best guitarists out there, and there are a lot of great guitarists out there, but only a small percentage are top tier, but I can't think of any other duo who are as tight as M&M in synchronised harmonies and the way they seem to blend their tones to perfection time after time. The same can be said about the rhythm section, Miho and now Fami always on point with the awesome Haruna. And of course the queen of vocals and stage general Asami has, imo, the ability to change the style of her voice to match the song they're doing. A 💯 supergroup is all I'm saying.
