ResinAce made an epoxy resin painting with Cats Eye powder once and I finally found it a few months ago. There were only one seller on Swedish Amazon and I thought I had been scammed as the powder didn't react to a magnet. Now I know how to use it! I got a random colour and it was the purple one. So even if I thought it was just a regular mica I was happy as the colour is gorgeous! 💜

Just a beautiful magnetic look. You could do so much with this. Wonder what would happen if you had moire than just one magnet the patterns you do make . Could make awesome galaxies and underwater scenes

Great job Tracey! The nail polishes work well too! I just used it on my nails for the first time last week. I’m sure it could be used in resin as well! And Amazon has a bunch of different shape magnets I bought but haven’t tried yet!
Yes cat's eye polish works well too - Take a look at Daniel Cooper's channel, he's done some great stuff with the nail polish
very pretty effect, however I think I would have worked with the powders first and then backed it with the black that way you wouldn’t have to worry about filing as much as just doming the front.
I tried that - the magnetic didn't work through onto the front. I just ended up with a plain mica on the front I am going to try the magnet through the silicone from underneath next :)

I think the neon are out on their website for the UK. Let's Resin do neon too. Neither are catseye though but I do want some, they look fun

Oooh! Pretty colours. I love the effect. I wonder if the nail magnets would create the different effects that they do in polish? Could you create weird effects using more than one magnet or would they cancel each other? Could be fun experiments 😁❤️🤗
Yes definitely on my experiment list I have at least 20 cat's eye nail polishes, if they haven't gone off lol. had them for years. I must play with them too

Oooh I have quite a few of those powders from my days of making nail polish. Have you tried putting the magnet underneath the mould and if it’s a neodyium magnet it should work through the acrylic shelf too. I shall have to dig my powders out. They look fantastic Tracey.

It's fascinating to see you does these the opposite way to daniel Cooper. He does a clear first in the mould, then magnetic, then black back. It's good to know it works both ways. (PS, you can buy magnets with designs on)
That is because Daniel is using cat's eye nail polish, not cat's eye powder. Completely different product. his might work both ways though. Depends which product you are using and which mould and what oyu want to make. Both products have lots of possibilities

Glad you like my videos, thanks for your support. My nails were done by Hollywood Nails in Redditch. It's just a chameleon powder over black, mush like we do in our resin art. I might do a little video on it soon, I don;t do nails nowadays but it would be a handy way to show how Chameleon flakes and powders work

Gorgeous. I wonder if it will stick to a mold. I have two molds of dragons hatching that would be lovely with a cats eye effect on the eggs.
Yes it will but then as it is stuck it won't be able to move to the magnets so it would just look lime any highly coloured mica powder

I have found with doing nails cat eye can be very temperamental, another word I struggle with it!🤪
Yes it can be tricky to get the effect you want. Lots of experimenting needed I think.

I went over to TEMU and found it there. Anxious to try it. I also took a screen shot of the order so when it comes I will know what it is. I have too many little pots from TEMU with no explanation.
this is not a Temu product that I demo here, this is from IntoResin so may be similar but this is the proper branded version. I have tried both, and often enjoy temu products, but on this occasion can only recommend the Into Resin one
