That sarcopenia is a real thing. I was surprised the first time I struggled on my legs day. It was confusing. I was only in my late 30's.

Who hasn't struggled on certain days. Maybe you didn't eat enough. Maybe your sleep was off. Maybe you were tired from something else. Maybe your hormones were off. To think it's sarcopenia because you struggle a day in the gym in your 30's is a textbook example of "jumping to conclusions".

Most of us, even when we continue lifting, have lost up to 50% of our upper body strength and even more lower body strength by age 75.

Hey Coach, what's your thoughts on including a supplement like HMB with resistance training? Of course overall nutrition is foundational, but I've read somewhere that HMB is helpful for us 'seasoned' folks in regards to sarcopenia.

This is just my personal opinion. I don't see a great advantage for taking HMB. Just my two cents.

I'm 51 and have lifted weights since I was 16. I took up skateboarding again last year and having extra muscle certainly helps when I fall off

1’m 70 & just started using a scooter (3 wheels + handle) to teach my 2yo grandson. Should have gone with skateboards… sooo much more fun tho hadn’t done it in 30-40y.. Similarly credit lifelong weight training/calisthenics with good balance.
