I seen this video and built the headboard, it turned out great thanks for the great video!!
That’s awesome! Post it on IG and tag us!
Well done! A simple an strait forward build.
Thanks!
Great job. I will be trying one.
Awesome . Thank you
Thank you!
Nice project...thanks for sharing!!
Thank you too!
Love your job I will try one!
I love it!
Just found your channel and subbed. Great work. Instructions are easy to follow.
Great to hear! Lemme know if you’ve got any ideas we could make a video on
Do you think the bottom 1x3 is necessary to stiffen the frame, or could it be omitted? The bedding will cover that part of the headboard I'm building. Thanks!
So, to do a Queen headboard, you would add 6" to the width on the dimensions above??
If your using a metal bed frame just measure the width of it and match to fit yours perfeftly
Are you using Spruce here or standard yellow pine?
pine
Do you attach this to the bed, or wall?
To a bed frame
what additions do i have to make to make a king size bed?
Just a few inches on each side wider then your mattress.
@@greattbuilds thank you and also great video man.
@@garyvoegtle8111 thanks I appreciate it!!
How long are the tongue & groove boards and how many did you use?
I would make them as long as your bed frame is to have an exact fit to it
What screws do I need to attach the legs
I think I used regular screws, or nails and glue would work great
Are your measurements and supplies listed for a Queen size?
a queen size bed is usually 60 in wide and a full is 54 wide. so i can answer the question even tho it wasn't me who is building this. I'm going to make it similar to his but fro a king size matress which is about 76 in wide.
Sorry if this has already been asked . Would it be beneficial to sand the wood first as it seems awkward trying to get into corners of tingle and grove after assembly ?
Yes it is
A lot of tongue and groove boards come sanded on one, or both sides. They’re fine.
Your measurements are different from the cut list to the actual building of the headboard according to the video. The cut list wood measurements need to be corrected
What was the total cost to make?
I think around $100
How can I get these headboards I need two full size and one Queen
These are custom built headboards
Are they from Ikea or do I have to order them somewhere else please write me back
There from my garage. Homemade
Very affordable. Let me just grab all my $5000 tools.
It’s a saw, a drill and a sander. You could even sand by hand. Stop complaining
I was thinking the same thing about the cost of the tools but I was also thinking I'm glad I already have my tools.@@dronjones1
You can buy these tools for less than $300. If you want to build really anything… you will need a saw and a drill. If you are worried about a few power tools, this hobby is not for you
@@dronjones1 put up a video of you doing it. Thank you.
Where do you see $5000 worth of tools?
I am sickened by how many videos by women making shit projects (just glue and staple it) are being propped up on this platform while actually quality ideas like this video are left unseen.
Excellent video. I appreciate your time.
I mean no ones gonna argue with you on that one lol
