Nice to see James Darren pre Time Tunnel (my favourite Irwin Allen show). Not really known to act as usually as the villian but a nice bit of acting.

James Darren does a good job here. His portrayal of Omar is genuinely creepy. He is as menacing as Michael Fassbender's similarly amoral android David in Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.

I've been watching Deep Space 9, and Darren as Vic Fontaine has been absolutely amazing in "Just A Paper Moon" and "Badda Bing, Bandai Bang." James Darren really is a treasure.

Another cautionary tale about the danger of artificial intelligence and robotics. I wonder if Mr. Omiir might be a prototype of what is to come.

I've seen James Darren in many serious roles but I don't ever think I saw him play amoral evil before. And he's good at it!

I'm always amazed at people, (or AI) that think they should have unlimited power, when everyone knows it should be me. Arthur O'Connell was always a favorite actor and I'm sorry I never got to meet him. He was equally at home in serious or comic roles, though personally, I preferred him in the comic roles.

Very nice seeing James Darren pop up again on the channel. Like an old friend showing up out of the blue

For some reason, James Darren in this reminded me of Gary Lockwood in the Trek episode, "Where No Man Has Gone Before."

Those flashing light cubes in this episode look the same as later used in an episode of Time Tunnel to send a written message thru time.

Wasn’t the Hong Kong flu going around at that time. I had it in ‘68 and it was bad.

"It don't get much better than that ... until next week." I honestly have been waiting in anticipation for your take on next week's. Who knows what to think of that one. An inexplicable fan favourite with a corporeal ghost, no good ending and no explanations. LOL Can't wait.

"The Return Of The Phantom" has many logic flaws but it also has good performances by Hedison, Ryder and Vitina Marcus. Hedison is particularly good as Crane when possessed by Krueger. Ryder is also great as the obsessed Krueger and Marcus is good as his beloved Lani, the only one able to stop her lover from carrying out his plans. I loved that she was a moralistic ghost who knew that all Krueger was doing was wrong and that she had to stand against him to save those he threatened. Far out but not hard to see why it's a fan favorite.

@@RagShop1 I absolutely agree there were truly excellent performances by the cast and guest stars in The Return of the Phantom. There were very interesting and effective lighting and camera angles as well.
