Coming out of anesthesia, my brother told me that I said the stupidest things.
My girlfriend said, "How could you tell the difference from any other time?"
I said to her, "Oh, you mean like the times I told you 'I love you'?"
I was in the doghouse for a while after that.
Scary to think what kind of shady shenanigans would go on if this mind control fog was real.
For pretty ladies like Rita, there'd be a real need for concern.
Oh! Sorgensen was the father on one of my favorite 80s sitcoms - Gimme A Break. I was so sad when Dolph Sweet passed away. He and Nell Carter had such great chemistry.
That's Dolph Sweet as Sorgenson. He would go on to play the father in Gimme A Break, he would play until his untimely death in 1985.
Peter's friend in the lab is played by Gavin Oherlihy. An Irish actor who recently passed away. He was more of a character actor. Some of his more famous roles were Chuck Cunningham ( 1 of 3) on Happy days, and funnily enough as Brad " Flash" Wilson in Superman 3.
He was also the "American Playboy" in the Tommy & Tuppence "The Secret Adversary" by Agatha Christie adaptation from the early 80s. I LOVED him in that.
I've certainly had my share of anesthesia. But I can never get enough of Alan Arbus!
It's pretty standard for villains to get so enamoured of this kind of thing that they go for the quick buck and toss strategic thinking out the window. Hansen compounded it by not treating Dave as his most valuable asset. He's the guy who can whip up more of the stuff. Involving him in the crimes (from the heist of the Bible to destroying the chemicals in the storage room) was a big mistake. It drew way too much attention.
Indeed, splashy crimes are the first thing I'd avoid if I had the chemicals and a criminal mind. White collar might take more time and research, but it's a lot safer. That $42 million of intellectual property was a nice prize, and all Hansen had to do was wait until the guy came back from vacation. It might have been months, maybe years before they realized a crime had happened, at which point the trail would be ice cold.
Dr. Sidney Freedman meets Chief Carl Kanisky? Gimme a Break!
Why should that be surprising? One man in a house with 4 females might require a therapist.
In any other story, the military would be interested in this wonderdrug. There'd be an entire plot around its military use. The actor playing Dave seems familiar to me, but I can't put my finger on it...
P.S. I patiently await for your review of Wonder Woman, featuring Leif Garrett.
0:36 That’s Gavan O'Herlihy he’s one of three actors who played Chuck Cunningham on the first season of Happy Days. He played Clark Kent’s High School bully in Superman III. And the leader of a street gang in Death Wish III.
He was also the "American Playboy" in the Tommy & Tuppence "The Secret Adversary" by Agatha Christie adaptation from the early 80s. I LOVED him in that.
😎
16:50 Why do the guards need to smash the glass? Shouldn't they have keys? Or be able to open the cases?
20:45 Any chance that phrase still works on you...... and can we know what it was?
I'm confused about something: why isn't the bad guy affected? He is like 2 feet away from the people he is spraying!
A fair question.
A fun plot but how did that mist not fly back into Hansens face😂
That's what I was asking too!
